Yea, I thought they looked oddly similar too, but I'm not so sure anymore. The rings looks like tek. The obelisk doesn't really have the same design feel as the usual tek stuff though, but I'm not sure how to explain it. I think the best way to put it might be that normal tek looks kinda jagged or something. It doesn't have many smooth sides anywhere, there's lots of sharp edges on all the tek stuff. But the floating lunatek platform in the original astrocetus teaser for example was very round. The obelisk in question now also feels smoother than most of the tek stuff we've seen before. If you ask me, it's some sort of teleporter. It picks up your data self and shoots you out through the circle to a receiving obelisk where you rematerialize. I have no reason to believe this, but it's what I choose to believe. And yea that's definitely a planet ring. I'd bet we're staying in the gen sim too, but consider that just because it's not over earth, doesn't mean it must be in the simulation. If I wanted to entertain the theory that we'd be leaving the simulation, then the lunar biome could easily be the moon of a different planet that we went to. There's no rule that says we have to stay at Earth

If you don't feel ready to release Genesis it's ok. Like Projekt Red or Mooneye Studios delayed Cyberpunk and Lost Ember, we can wait for Ark as well. Lost Embers was even delayed from July to November, Cyberpunk to September. One month of waiting for Ark is even shorter. Guys, take your time. Unluckily this community can be a lot toxic sometimes, but go ahead and take care of what you have to

I can kinda understand why, but I disagree. Those bunches of tendril things near the back end specifically really make me think organic. Lunatek is the name I've given to the moon (or space) tek in general. Whatever tek stuff the Federation (or whoever was in space) created that the URE never managed to get after the war. So, by default, it's different than the tek we've seen so far. While we're talking about names, to keep things simple make communication clearer, I propose this: Lunatek = What I just explained Tek = The type of tek we've seen so far Eletek = Any technologies based on tek, including both Tek and Lunatek As for the windmill idea... I don't know about keeping it afloat. Gravity should be able to do that on its own, although perhaps devices to help keep the remnants of the moon close together. Since we know that there's element in the air though, it's possible that that might actually be gathering the element from the air either to power something or to be collected later.

Jagged is a good word to describe it, yea. The lunatek doesn't have the jagged look at all. Naturally, if there's a place that has lunatek that we can access with normal tek... I just had an idea about the nature of the Genesis Simulation, but it might take longer to type out than I want to spend for now, so I'll say something later. Anyway, we can assume that if we have tek, and we go somewhere with lunatek, there'll be both tek and lunatek there, so there being new stuff for both kinds doesn't surprise me much. And I agree that it's strange to see a non-grey non-energy color on tek like that. I can't think of any other item so far that has that by default actually. 2. I'm fairly certain it's a planetary ring. It curves perfectly around the planet, and I think we saw a ring earlier too.

You packed up your Valguero server in a "rush" to prepare for an unreleased DLC with no concrete release date or even recent information? And this is Wildcard's problem? Why wouldn't you wait for the actual release and then pack up for the switch? That way you can also evaluate all the inevitable bugs with the release and decide if it's worth the risk to move. And I sympathize with trying to play during a school schedule but no release window is ideal for everybody.

1. I know... It's... strange. Our Tek is jagged in glowing blue/grey sections that slide and transition. The top left of the Moon-Obelisk has a design simple to one of the ARK pillars. Maybe this ties in to the "Better Tek theory" we had about the giant war. Example: The Tek Rifle is "Jagged" with a grey/blue color, whereas the Tek Guided Missile is a lot smoother with orange/grey colors. BUT... The Tek shoulder cannon seems to have the design we are used to. Same with the Jump Pad. 2. I dunno, I thought that the "Ring" was a streak effect left by the moving astrocetus.

To answer your question with delay yes. And I'm not jumping all over them. Yesterday is the first time I've ever said anything. I started playing the game when it was a beta and will continue to. But after so many times of delays it's frustrating. And it is feels, facts and beliefs. People feel disappointed because of the constant delays. And discouraged to purchase new content early. And the facts are that that the game still has bugs, meshing problems and other various issues since day one. Which obviously doesn't always bother me because I still play. And on the beliefs I've noticed on here if you voice your opinions whether if it is good, bad or indifferent. You're automatically a crybaby or told to shut your mouth. We can be more civil and respectful to one another. And losing hope do to the back to back delays and the lack of communication. And no doubt I'm still excited play Genesis. Because I see the potential of the game and want it to thrive. And see as I write this I still have some hope. And I know making games isn't all cupcakes and rainbows. I'm just old fashion my word is my bond if I say I'm going to have something done I do it without delays. I hope everyone has a good night.

Then the solution to that Vegeta, as said earlier is dont give pinpointed months. Because thats a date...you dont need to give a time and specific day. If you say december 2019 and charging people for it then people are buying under the assumption that "Hey its october, this will be out near the holidays as it says dec 2019. Which makes them buy it, that has an influence on people parting with their money. Now you have people in forums questioning in Jan. Hey man where's my game? Only to hear people like you tell them to deal with it because the month that was announced was an estimated time and its hard to make games. Well if its that hard where you can meet times and always announcing delays on updates and content. Man maybe you are in the wrong business or need to help making the game. A consumer should never be confused or feel sketchy about purchasing something because the company is known for delays and people like you blame the consumer. Doesnt look good bro

At the end of the day Dude, you can be wilcard white knight all you want. They should stop giving dates period. Hello guys i read on the steam store page that part 1 will be released in jan. 2020 but i have watched a video and read an article that both say it will release in dec. 2019 this is confusing me and was wondering what the real release date is.....Video link: Above is a post in Steam from someone who unlike you didnt get a season pass for free. They paid for it...a consumer shouldnt have to be confused and ask around why a relese date is missed. And people like you foam at the mouth and attack these people. You have not received the content you paid for as the dec date was missed. Delaying a game to work out bugs and not rush a broken a game is always a good thing. But always having to delay your updates and content and sometimes multple times? Doing so frequently says alot and its best if they just dont announce a date, a time frame period as its bad for business to be known for always being wrong or missing your deadlines. But "hey buy this on time season pass but sorry we didnt release it on the time we said we were going to release it. Oh and guess what...we gotta delay again for another month, sorry i know our store page said 2 months ago" Vegeta you can run around here attacking everyone all you like a rabid savage but if you think its ok for a company to be known for missing release dates on a consistent basis then idk what to tell you.

Who would want to buy a company that can't hit a release date? It would be a horrible investment, the big studios became big and valuable by hitting release dates. It's like a person who is a fantastic worker and makes awesome products but can't make it to work on time ever, do you think said person would be promoted or fired? The company I work for started out in the owners garage back in the 70s,now 50 some odd years later we are a multi billion dollar business. We would not still be around if we couldn't hit a deadline on time while still prioritizing quality.

At this point it’s hilarious that any people think that the extra month is going to give the expansion a “bug free” release as seen with there other maps and dlc here we are years later with many of the same problems if you want to fix the official servers here’s an idea get rid of them simple the player run servers always have better people managing them and again as for the delay and people both parties are right to a degree but the fact is never has a deadline been met it is understandable when you have a problem but they never tell us anything or a real reason why they delay just the copy and paste of “we’re just tweeting performance issues” It’s really sad I mean I genuinely think ark is one of the greatest games ever made but after the last few years of disappointing launches and release I just hope for everyone’s sake player and dev that they sell the licenses and company to someone competent at this point I’d take EA over wildcard but seriously epic, rockstar ,blizzard, Bethesda, THQ someone just not you guys it’s not that you have bad ideas just horrible follow through. You guys did a great job coming up with ideas but please let someone else actually implement them.

The Devs are absolutely ignorant and clearly does not care about any of the loyal fan base. I have been playing Ark since game preview and now have Atlas as well. I used to love the game and play it with friends and told them to buy the game as well. I got pretty advanced on ark and was starting to get tired if being raided by 20 Meks and their infinite supply of element due to dupping glitches and also just getting flat out mesh raided. For a while and recently we noticed it's actually impossible to build on any of the maps no matter how many turrets and how long you stay on we would still get raided and have to start fresh. Finally I've had enough if the glitches and duping so I decide to play the hiding game by buling tree forts and 1 mesh spot to store loot when offline or out of town. Finally for once since game preview I have been able to keep my loot for more than a week without being in the top alliance tribes which still get mesh raided or dupe mech raided. Now instead of realising new content or getting rid of dupes or nerfing the mechs you guys add random death barriers to (some) of the mesh points. Making meshing more toxic and unpredictable and now you can't even fight meshers back at all and on top of it all there is still mesh points you guys just screwed all the casual players who hide all what little loot they had and enabled bigger tribes to find still working mesh points. Which is still a thing. Why add a death barrier with no warning and absolutely waste everyone's time who knows how to keep what little loot they have safe. The big open mesh points still work too amd I literally have people meshed on my server on official and they didn't get a death barrier at their mesh but yet I get one? At least fix all the spots or maybe fix duping or duped mechs/ loot cause if you haven't noticed the only way you can survive now was in the mesh due to duping which was a glitch on your end so thanks for punishing the small guys I will NEVER spend money on WildCard or any game from them ever again and I litteraly lost a piece of my heart today this is actual bs! Omg some people just need to grow up. Its just a game. Stop bitching and moaning like babies, wild card have their priorities just like you have. If you paid for the DlC already good on you that means it gives others a chance to buy the dlc end of January and be on the same level as the rest when the dlc comes out. I’ll wait a year if I have to as long as the release is smooth and not glitchy with all the patches and downloads we had with other DLC releases. Then major thing I think wild card need to address to now is the kitting on extinction servers pve official and give teleporters the option for alliance, public and closed. These options would help.

Literally the most frustrating group of game creators ....... When this LIE ! Of a dlc does get released I won't even play it ! I've wasted my money my time and I you are now in my books the biggest fail of a video game since WWE 2k19 , if you have played the game you know just how bad that kind of a review is! Here's an idea !!!!! Maybe get ark the island running smooth before moving on .......... I've never had some much lack of respect for a company , lies upon lies upon failure releases , you guys will be shamed by the community , I truly hope others join me by boycotting ark completely. Wildcard I want compensation !

if you say so dude, the devs work hard to give us a great game, they don't have to honestly, by all means in terms of other games ark is beyond the life span of a typical game like COD or xenoverse 2 which its last DLC dropped earlier this month so the FACT is that these devs are doing their best to deliver the content that have said they will, date and time doesn't matter as long as its delivered and it will be.

So another Delay for Genesis this seems to be a pattern Wild Card delay delay delay take peoples money delay delay delay the people who already paid for it should get some compensation for delays in saying it was to be in december now its end of Feburary instead #anotherfailedDLCrelease

And the transfer from the legacy PVE server to official?

"Are you serious? You Say you are releasing it December then you go onto say that you delay THEN you dont say anything for a whole month and THEN DELAY IT ANOTHER MONTH. You said that It was delayed a month 2 MONTHS BEFORE THE ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE HOW IS THAT NOT ENOUGH TIME. I am Demanding a refund from this dlc. Absolutely Ridiculous."
