Sounds like an excuse ??

You miss the point. Everyone was expecting a delay. The issue isn't really that there is a delay.... for some it's that it seems "what's going on in the world" was used as an excuse for the delay. For others, "what's going on in the world" isn't a valid reason for the delay. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Your 'entitlement' to chastise others for having a different opinion than you is what should be checked at the door.

My kudos to all you folks at WC for this decision, anyone getting their panties in a knot are just too tunnel-visioned to see the much larger global picture, anyone saying we paid for this needs to go back and take a look at themselves and their holier than thou needy attitudes and realize you paid a one time fee for a base game and or 3 dlc's(that you can play solo) you pay nothing for official servers you've paid nothing for multiple other dlc maps(CI included) as for the anniversary event, it's WC's party they can postpone it if they want to. This is not a life or death situation so waiting a week or two or four for the anniversary event and or the CI map to be released is not going to kill you so check your entitlements at the door.

Wildcard gives us 2x because of the pandemic...none of them who are complaining now, are thankful because of that. Now they are crying up bs because of one week. Sony also postponed game release and ps5 event. All these things are truly not enjoyable for no one. But there's a real life out there. Some people seem to forget that, or even haven't had any real problems in their life.

They are out there for a week now, rioting with others, just because they want to loot that brand new hardware to improve server stability. Ofc they didnt have time to finish new map when they have to fight off hundreds of people looting the store. They gonna grab those expensive graphic cards and full HD or 4k monitors so they can provide us with dope screenshots and gameplay videos. Idk how can you not see this. We will get a 5x rates to loot and stash all resources from the map and the dinos will be in black and white colors, dont you worry. Now on a serious note: Wildcard isnt the only company announcing this. I guess they hopped on the solidarity train and do as other game studios have done - so no-one can point a finger on them for ignoring whats happening. Why are you so impatient, just so you can have some new bugs and glitches to whine about and spam how incompetent they are? Cyberpunk was delayed by 6 months this year and no-one bats an eye. Wildcard pushes back the release of a FREE map for a week and everybody looses their minds. For me - yea sure, I dont mind. Whats the difference? I dont really care if I get the map this or the next week, I got plenty of things to do in ark even without it.

Wow the people here, most companies are doing this atm to help in their own way, a 1 week delay is not a big issue at all And this is not just about the USA, there are protests in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, France etc

To any of the Studio Wildcard team this might reach, I stand with your reasoning for postponing this celebration. There are more important things happening in this world that shouldn't be overshadowed by a video game event. Ark players are primarily white and it's about time we experience some dissapointments, setbacks and letdowns so we can feel the pain experienced by African Americans. Yeah I have a few buddies who said they wouldn’t mind posting here... was typing up my story and then got sidetracked will finish it later today:)

Maybe I am just misunderstanding the message, but I don't completely follow the logic on this decision. If it's to sympathize with the current societal issues going on, then I feel that they missed the mark. They have a powerful medium at their disposal through ARK, which could be used to resonate with people on these issues. Think about if it would have been delayed, but with the intention changing from a celebration to a commemoration of the good intention of the protests, and the unity of races. Maybe there could have been unique dino colors offered during this time like they do for other events. I think a black and white monochrome color theme would have been pretty popular for breeding. If this happened it probably would be a completely different discussion we're having now. The most disappointing part to me is that in the future when people look back at this games releases this will just be another delay out of a long list. It will not be distinguished from any of the other past delays, unless you knew what was going on. I agree that right now probably isn't the time to be celebrating, but truth be told I don't believe that June 11th will be the right time to celebrate either. Does it really have to be a celebration though?

WC tried to be socially responsible in a time when bringing people together has never mattered more, and paying attention to national and global tragedies has never mattered more and all a bunch of spoiled gamer bois can do is whine that they have to wait a week for new content? I'm currently hosting a server on the microsoft version of the game and it has the 5 year anniversary update, due to this, no one on xbox can join the server as the client build does not match the host build. Is there any way I can fix this?

I just love being raided and me not being able to do anything. Gotta love it. I don't understand how it's taking this long to roll this update back. Please do something.

Anyone managed to get logged into a server from PC win10 version? They rolled the update out to PC clients leaving the game with 0 playable servers... They updated Twitter something like 20 hours ago but nothing yet. I imagine my very first velenosaur baby is dead by now... Don't see why it's difficult to roll Back the PC update.

Was gifted some Giga eggs by someone else on my server (:D); finished hatching them and discovered imprints are only 6% (2x on Official). Sighed, chugged some water from my canteen, and settled in for the long haul.

I think it is sad that the state of things is being used as an excuse NOT to launch an update when in fact it is MORE of a reason to launch it. There are thousands of people all over the world who use video games to de-stress an unwind in a healthy stay at home manner. People who are becoming more anxious because of the saturation of sadness, anger and pain all over the television and internet. Thanks for not being part of the solution.

me neither d1nk i saw this post a month ago or so read nearly the entire thing and got sad when people stopped posting so i made an account just for this

first time posting so yeah... this was written for a group of friends that do not play ark so pls excuse the little teaching moments daily gaming report Wends -Thursday June 3-4 Aberration : the grind Today i'm writing a double post because the 3(ikr) play periods were rather uneventful. but ill try to spice things up. So I started Wednesday with a low stone stockpile. We had lost our doedic to the little dino wipe a couple of days back so I set out with the drop box trap to find an ok doed. spotted a lvl 77 near our metal mining area and set up the trap. Uneventfully got the doed into the trap and tranqed. now the doed was going to take about 30 mins to tame and I had a now infinite supply of taming berries/shrooms due to the stego (give me a whoop whoop!) so I went to find a passive tame to take up the time. I spent a stupid amount of time trying to find a good lvl bulbdog, listro, anything. I found nothing. So then I was heading back the base to see if there was any other mats I was low on and lo and behold a lvl 219(max for this server) bulbdog wandered into my path. yes. please. Real quick and in a hurry tamed it up and went back to the doedic got it tamed up and logged. later that Wednesday So I logged back on to see the doed and new bulb dog were safe and sound in the taming trap. brought both of them back to base and started to see what a saddle would take for the doed. After grinding out the saddle got some stone and stored that away. Now I begun to think. I couldn't fight a single animal with the current load out. The animals I had were either too low lvl to battle or were simply utility animals (example: bulbdog) so I begun to think about taming a ravager. A ravager is a meat eating killing machine and they live in packs. I got my taming gear and loaded my self for all out war. The first ravager I saw was a 190. All alone too. I then proceeded to get my self killed by it. yay. After a quick wiki on the ravagers I learned that they could be bolad. which means that I could just stop it in its tracks easily . Went back, got my gear, bolad the 190 and started tranqing. After far more tranqs than were needed I admin checked its torpor... it was maxed out... so I had a deadly unknockoutable ravager. I admin knocked it. now I put the taming food in it..... it didn't eat. I stood there for more than 10 mins staring at it not eat. Well. Force tame. I got rid of all my taming gear like if it would have tamed right so I feel no guilt(feels plenty of guilt) then I figured out that ravagers are beast. they get METAL weight reduction yaaaayayyy. then I went on a metal mining spree and logged. Thursday So today when IU booted the server I disabled admin cheats because I felt NO guilt about having to force tame the ravager. Yeah. I tamed it the right way and got rid of alll the taming gear I had on me to make it a proper trade off. No guilt. Anyway. I logged on with the intention of.. I dunno so I just started to run around on the ravager to lvl it up after about 5 mins of this I run across a lvl 7 dire bear. Score! I needed a dire bear to get honey to tame a roll rat (best aberration wood gatherer) to start a proper base. After tranqing the bear I got honey from two hives(you can get honey by hand but it ends in death and less honey) got it tamed and then saw the requirement for the saddle. 100 cp!??! Who gets 100cp? Anyhow got the cp and gathered honey with the dire bear and went to try and find a roll rat. Found a lvl 26 and started the taming process it was going to be amazing. It, my ravager ,and all the animals within a 100 yard range were then slaughtered by a pack of high lvl ravagers and a carno. Ok then. so I just grinded out some mats for taming a higher lvl bear and logged.

Really sad so many people like to spread more misery to make themselves feel better.

It's astonishing how entitled a lot of this player base seem to be. If Wildcard wanted to they could shut down Ark on a moments notice. I say this because of the comment I saw about giving them money. Just because you give them money does not mean they have to give you anything. Your not entitled to jack. As for the reasoning behind their delay, when you look at how many other companies are/have pushed things back due to the current situation around the world not just America, would not be a better thing to just take it at face value instead of b**ching them out every chance you get. What makes it worse is your complaining about a game a lot of you probably play every single day. Get over it, it's how the world works. They've done what they and many others feel is right.

I hate to say it, but ark was released a while ago, and like most ppl say, they allways delay releases, so i dont understand why ppl make plans for the 1st date they announce and then get upset that they delay. shouldnt everyone know better and stop changing plans in real life because of games? yes they are delaying ... AGAIN... but once again, is not the first time this happens, better delay and release it fully working then releasing now. Is not the first time this happens, wont be the last. Even other companies delay games. If after all this years with all the delays we have, ppl still put important things on hold because of games, then , im sorry, i dont think wildcard is the one to blame.

So, if Wildcard delays something for a good cause is not ok, but if Sony does it is ok? People... Seriously? This doesn't matter if you live in US or Europe (like me)? Again, are you serious? I'm appalled at the hate thrown in the direction of Wildcard for doing this. Please allow me to point out a few things for those in the back who can't hear properly. 1. The United States of America is at a pivitol moment of crises. Wildcard, being based in the United States, has every right to take a step back to support the voices that need to be heard. To allow them to tell their story just as so many other forms of media are doing right now. I for one respect that, shouldn't you? 2. While yes the grass roots of this is Minneapolis (The U.S.) racism is NOT exclusive to that area nor our country. Protests are happening all over the world. 3. Yes, all lives matter, but not all lives are treated equal, fair, or just and that is what #blacklivesmatter is about. You cannot say ALL lives matter when there are so many still being persecuted and treated unequally just for the color of their skin. 4. Ark is a GAME. Although a game that I dearly love and have spent more hours than I truly care to admit playing it is just that, a game. It is not real life so please don't make fantasy a greater deal than reality. The reality of the world around us right now. 5. Many games have setbacks, push backs, glitches, broken elements, etc. Being passionate about a game you love as we do ARK is good but negativity and hostility to those who make that game available to us is rather reduntant not to mention rude. If you honestly have so much distaste for Wildcard then why are you still here? Instead of acting out like a child who cannot handle being disappointed once in a while may I suggest you grow up, get educated, and learn some compassion as well as understanding. It might just make your life more bearable. To @complexminded and the entirity of the team at Wildcard: I am proud of what you have built within this gaming community with ARK. Be proud of what you've done and what you continue to. You deserve it! I applaud you for this decision in holding of until the 11th. A few more days of waiting is well worth showing solidarity for those who deserve it around the world right now. You have my gratitude, support, and admiration!!

It will export your current filter - so for all tames just select all tribes/players/creatures and export. It won't do ALL wild as it takes too long to load them all into the list but will do a filtered down list of specific creatures you select. @Shodan - Added ability to load unknown map data. No image and can't guarantee the accuracy of the lon/lat if the map doesn't comform to the same co-ords as the Genesis map which I'm defaulting to if it is unknown. @pleinx - Added mutation columns to the tame detail grid. Mut (F) and Mut (M) respectively for male and female.

Holy hells. Let's write a book about ARK's story, I know someone in publishing (specifically Sci-Fi publishing), and have a few stories myself... I am personally excited for Extinction for the fact that we will most likely get a lot more fleshed-out information about the story of ARK. There is such possibility in the unknown of ARK right now, so many cool things to be discovered...
