  3. We're going live with the latest content. However, Official Servers are going to remain offline until we have resolved an issue that prevents players from being able to transfer specifically on servers where Character Downloads are enabled, but Item Downloads are disabled. We recommend Unofficial servers that are using the same setup wait for the new server as well. Our currently ETA is approximately 1.5 hours~.

  5. Bro why did you even bring it forward to the 31st. You could’ve just kept it at the 1st and it would’ve been fine speaks further volumes about the incompetence of the management/public relations teams at wildcard

  7. 5.1.0.0 now available to download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14s3lHSREisSdkLoY4Ng6cALcmld1aTz4/view?usp=drive_link https://github.com/miragedmuk/ASV/releases/ Changes Reviewed how I read/write timestamps following start of BST causing my own local files to be 2 hours different to the times on my ftp server. Added support for Scorched Earth Ascended but still work to be done to reveal Oasisaurs. .. and possibly Wyvern nests/eggs. ..edit.. Wyvern nests are already available. Eggs - I'm gonna need some time to work on the code. Essentially instead of just having the one dropped item with a "DroppedBy" revealing the wyvern parents we now have more steps to go through: DroppedItemGeneric_FertilizedEgg_NoPhysicsWyvern_C - contains the location and a reference to the actual egg via a "MyItem" property. PrimalItemConsumable_Egg_Wyvern_Fertilized_Lightning_C - is the actual egg - but that contains no location data. I need to get the object reference from the generic, find that object in the game data then get the "CustomDescription" to match what was displayed previously. I don't have much time this evening but should have it completed - along with reading in the Oasisaurs - by the weekend. .. edit 2.. Got the eggs!!.. now to try work out Oasisaurs. .. edit 3 .. Oasisaur might take me some time. Turns out there are new property types I'm not handling so not reading in all the properties I'm expecting to see for ASV as I bail when it comes to properties types I've not handled.

  10. Hey folks at Wild Card. Terrible job, once again, when it comes to rolling out your product. Not sure whose in charge of planning and deployment involving releases or in ordering the correct number of official servers, but they apparently need to be reassigned or let going because given my customer experience with Ark Ascended and the lack of official servers to play on as a paid customer and a game pass subscriber, not ensuring that those of us who purchased your game and play it by investing real life hours definitely shows what Wild Card thinks of its loyal based vs. people who will try the game out for free, then ditch it because it’s “flavor of the week” on game pass is over. I can not begin to express to you the disappointment and frustration of myself and other players who voiced their frustrations and disappointment in Discord over not being able to get on to an official server on launch day after buying ASA months ago and then paying the $30 for Bob Tall Tale content only to be delayed by the last minute client roll out that definitely impacted the ability to get on a server before they filled up. Given the expectations set by Wild Card during ASA’s initial launch of not wanting console players to be “left in the dust” by other players who had release day access in getting started, when console players didn’t, I was very disappointed, but not surprised that Wild Card learner nothing from its mistake of not ensure that this type of player experience was not repeated during other releases like this one (actions and words not the same), and yet it was but even worse then before because after playing nearly the same for ASA additional content for Aaron game and DLC that was released as free yesterday on Game Pass and collecting another $30, people couldn’t get in, either via the Ob on an Official Server they were a member of or through a new character because Wild Card did not “plan accordingly” to the fact that on launch day, in addition to ASA’s existing customer base, ASA was free to play on Game Pass on console, with someone posting WC’s gratitude over the last several hours about the overwhelming interest or success in the game, or words to that effect, when in fact limiting the number of Official Servers to a level well below your company paid customer base was and is going to create a false or misleading image of “overwhelming interest” (and a lack of sincerity on what WC really thinks of its loyal supporters) when it was in fact a problem on WC’s end because it’s really because the folks in charge of resource planning and deployment “short changed” Wild Card and its consumer base to the point of creating “Very Dissatisfied” customers like me. Wild Card has a great product in Ark as a survival game, but continues to score “F”s and “D”s with it’s lack of Customer Focus Culture” (Microsoft had a whole “CFC” initiative once upon a time) and inability to set the proper customer expectations, especially with it comes to game releases, release days, announcements, resulting in a “Very Dissatisfied” customer experience overall… VN84

  12. ....and the pvp crowd on Ark is the most emotionally stunted, toxic, foul-mouthed aggressive children I have ever played a game with. I have never met a group of gamers that logged on with the sole intention of causing frustration and loss to fellow gamers. Pvp is about competition, not about preventing other people from playing the game and verbally abusing them while you repeatedly force respawn timers and call them racial slurs. When I asked them to politely give me some breathing room to at least progress to metal tools I was not only killed but incapacitated over and over to simply waste my time. When my old ass is dead and gone and these children inherit the adult world I pity them if their real world trappings even remotely resemble the abhorrent behavior and attitudes they display in video games.

  14. WOOHOOOO THE CENTER!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!! Probably my top favorite map, to those that started playing after the addition of aberration, the center to a lot of us long time original ASE veterans holds a place in our hearts that is indescribable. I will never forget those beginning months of that map. I hope you guys fixed that blasted lighting issue in the snow after a thunderstorm though. OOOOFFF! That was enough to give ya epileptic seizures! Good to see the Shasta is BACK on the center where it was voted to be! I would like to see you guys relaunch The Center how it did originally and NOT TO CHANGE IT THIS TIME! I mean in the regards that a Giga (or Carchar) has a rare chance to spawn ANYWHERE on the map. The Center was supposed to be how many times harder than the island and after that change it really wasn’t. Nothing screams Ark to me than going about doing different tasks and have that fill the back of your pants moment. I also hope you guys added some things to the map that the rest of the maps got as far as element spawns or black pearl spawns like Ragnarok. Every non-story map seemed to get things like creatures and resources that were capable to get on the previous story maps, except The Center. Rag had the wyvern scar and wyvern bay, it introduced us to the ice wyvern, the griffin and the in world mini bosses (that were a lot of fun to run), as well as the desert with the SE creatures. Val had the in world broodmother and the deinychus and the aberration biome. Crystal Isles introduced us to the crystal wyverns and also had the desert biome and gave us the ability to farm element and black pearls for tek. Last but not least Fjordur gave us just about everything in one package (kinda wish it was a little bigger than it was but still awesome map). The point I’m making is The Center seemed to have gotten left behind and always felt like the map had the potential to offer more than what it did. There are cool things about it like the underworld, the air pockets in the ocean the volcanic islands, the ice cave and the super deep ocean but they’re almost 1 trick ponies. Yeah it’s cool to go check em out but after that they get forgotten. It’s probably too much last minute at this point and I hope you guys already thought about that sort of stuff and added in some of the things that The Center got left behind on, but also hopefully to continue to bring it up to date in the future as the roadmap plays out, as the story maps get released. Just food for thought and all in the same, like I started this……WOOOHOOOOOOO THE CENTER!!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Definitely excited for this one!!!!

  15. Support for Scorched Ascended will be added as soon as either an explorer or resouce map is made available. Already jumped in and worked out co-ordinate system is the same used by The Island so have the grid ready to put a map in-place and add the maps.json. Weird having creatures in the base game that you can see but can't tame without the "Bobs Tales" adventure pack - unless you "CHEAT DOTAME" ..edit.. Might need a little more time to get the new "Oasisaur" read in. Of course they went with a different set of properties to normal creatures where there is no reference to the status component from the Oasisaur_Character_BP object.. or the standard "bServerInitializedDino". I should still be able to link things back in reverse - the status/inventory components still contains the "id" back to the "Character_BP" component.

  16. Bugs like low level dx errors when using DLSS are still unresolved since launch (and yes, they're all reported in the bugs section, they're just clearly being ignored). Given the state of the game, it just feels like a really laughable time to be releasing new paid content.

  17. Download in full resolution Looks like all that desert heat's gone to our heads, planning a release over the holiday weekend… So to avoid any holiday mishaps and the complications of a cross-platform rollout on a Sunday, the launch is just getting moved to Monday, April 1st, for a proper showdown! To keep things fair and fiery during those first few weeks, Scorched Earth will be a bit of a wild frontier. You'll only be able to bring your characters over for the first 60 days, you won't be able to bring any dinos or items onto the map. After the first 60 days, the gates swing wide open! We know this might throw a wrench in your weekend plans, and we're truly sorry about that. Rest assured, Scorched Earth and Bob's Tall Tales are just about ready to ride! 18. ^Thats probably the biggest problem with ASA. It's hard to feel like the franchise is being pushed forward when these bugs from basically the games inception are still around. We'll see if Scorched can buck the trend but I wouldn't bet my tek rifle on it.

  20. Welcome back sunken survivors! The past two weeks have really flown by for us! No, seriously, why is 2024 moving so quickly? I swear it was just January last week. Unfortunately, the speed of the past fortnight has caused most of the TSW team to be caught up in a ton of real life stuff. There's still plenty to share with you, just no fancy new pictures to show off. However, we've got a ton of fun stuff coming soon! Read on to find out what's coming next to the ASA branch of the mod, learn about the AMA we're hosting and see the behind the scenes development of Henodus! If this is your first time diving into the deep end, we are a dedicated team of individuals who are looking to spruce up the ocean biome in the same way that Scorched Earth offered a unique, biome specific challenge to survival. New creatures, resources, structures, items and more, all set on a huge custom map, we're looking to give ARK's oceans the TLC they deserve! The main goal is to bridge that huge gap between early and late game ocean exploration, and make it much more viable and more fun to live a life beneath the waves! This is unofficial content and is only related to our mod. It is in no way related with the official game and its content releases. Let's dive into the scoop! WHAT'S NEXT? More creatures. No, seriously. Jokes aside though, the release of Scorched Earth may lead you to believe that the prospect of new TSW creatures is looking a bit dry at the moment, but it's quite the contrary! Snappin is currently working on porting all of our lovely fish from ASE to ASA. Bothriolepis, Lepidotes, Materpiscis and the mean annoying one Saurichthys are coming soon to a body of water near you! And if you're on a desert ARK with barely a drop of water in sight, after the fish have settled into the sea, Protoceratops will be making its debut on Scorched! In less cryptic terms, we're working on porting over the fish first, and once those are done, Protoceratops will be coming to Scorched Earth! Below is an old teaser of the fruit-addicted ceratopsian from ASE's devkit! TSW TEAM'S AMA What's that meant to stand for? Abnormally Massive Anomalocaris? No! That's an Ask Me Anything! Over in our Discord, we've been getting a ton of really engaging questions from the community over the past few weeks, which have been super enjoyable for us to answer! It really means a lot to us seeing how everyone is just as excited as we are for the future of TSW! So, we thought we should open the floor to any burning questions that people have about all the factors that go into TSW. There's a new temporary channel in our discord to ask us about anything from our creature design process to modelling and more! We'll answer everything we can, except for things like ETAs and release dates. Those aren't fun and interesting questions, and come with the curse of ARK release dates. COMMUNITY CORNER In a solar eclipse, people get the chance to witness two planetary bodies align, in an incredibly rare and beautiful event. But a Sunken Scoop with a Community Corner is even rarer! Go check out the fun submissions we've gotten these past two weeks! In addition to the AMA we're hosting, if you have anything else TSW related you'd like to share, feel free to send over some screenshots, artwork/fanart, videos or anything in between! There's a submssions channel in our Discord, or you can tag us @ARKSunken or with the hashtag #sunkenscoop on Twitter! Clips and Videos Creator: DarkEdgeTV DarkEdgeTV is back with another feature, and this time everyone's favourite pancake is getting its time in the spotlight! Make sure to give her Henodus stacking challenge an attempt! That's all for this edition of the Sunken Scoop, thanks for tuning in! Lots more to come in the next few weeks, and please do come over to our discord to ask us those questions! Have a wonderful timezone! If this is your first time seeing TSW, check out the links below to find out more! Please note that if you want to play our mod, you need both the map and creature mod active. 21. I agree. The Island didn't get its own unique voted creature because the Rhynio was added to A.S.E. before they decided to make A.S.A. something separate and then they didn't do a new creature vote for The Island. The Gigaraptor could be The Island's A.S.A. voted creature and we could do a new vote for Rag.
    3 points
  22. Why not? Rag should 100% get a new creature now that the gigaraptor has been used up as WC's bandaid for screwing up the center launch.

  23. Dear Joebl0w13, I apologize, I don't know how to respond directly to you like you did, but I simply wanted to clarify one point. I think you didn't read what I wrote correctly or you didn't understand the meaning of the sentence. I'm not asking to have all the mods for free. On the contrary, prenuim mods are a very good thing. I'm simply saying that it would undoubtedly be preferable and even more profitable for server owners, modders and players to implement the same system that the Bob's Tall Tailes DLC already has by ensuring that players who join a server who owns one or more premium mods does not have to pay to access the server. However, players who do not pay for premium mods will not be able to use the creatures/items from these mods. Exactly the same way as the developers introduced with the Bob's Tall Tailes DLC this will allow the server owner not to lose players and it will allow players to Those who do not buy premium mods from a server could see if premium mods interest them by watching other players who have paid for the mods play.

PLease fix bee spawns on scorched.. we cannot make kibble for decent taming.... also since reporting cheaters on our PVE official scorched with rhynios, gigas and baryonyx met with a resounding "sorry we're not removing those" from your ticket GM's, how about evening the playing field and opening transfers ? We've got constant duping going on now because they know they are getting away with it...

  26. I'd like to make a petition to increase carry weight on oasisaur, literally it was sold as a moving base, but 2,500 carry weight make that impossible. 1 rex over it and it uses 1/5, a few stacks of food and resources and it is full. Literally the carry weight make it useless and so expensive talking about real money.

  28. I know we've seen a few of them already and most of them are valid, but my specific beef with it, is that if you decide you don't want it, there is no way to just filter out content that has to do with it and i feel that was intentional to kind of bully you into buying it. Every time i find an explorer note or a treasure map that tells me to make a purchase, or when i open my engram list and it's filled with essentially advertisements for this DLC it makes me want to dig in and not buy it more. Trust me, i get it, they have a checkered past and a publisher that is terrible with money, and their mob boss nitrado shaking them down to pay their debts back, but come on. It's already bad enough they are making us pay 30 dollars for a third of the content with a promise of the other 2/3rds later.. i have been playing this and ASE since launch i do not preorder anything from wildcard. It's just the principal of the matter at this point. they keep hitting us up for money every chance they can. it's starting to remind me of other AAA companies and their 50 dollar mounts and such. XD tldr: stop "advertising" in my game for content i am not going to buy.
    3 points
  29. See above. They have a completely different team working on The Center. And trust me, there is a LOT of people looking forward to the map.
    3 points
  30. they already said the gigantoraptor is only temporarily on island. it'll be removed from island spawns when rag releases in 5 years
    3 points
  31. yeah no. They're not releasing the maps in order of "importance" or "grinding" It's about drip feeding content/making it in the same order as on ASE. There's also the many people, who, myself included, do care about the center and want it to come out with a proper tlc as it never got any love on ASE. Also also, ab has barely been started, meanwhile center is basically ready, they just need to do the final touches and make the shasta. why would they completely stop that and delay it behind every other so called "important" dlc. it would make no sense, just like you.

  32. Paying for a map, or for extra content is normal in gaming, and as far as I know its allowed in every country. Presenting prizes, IE Treasure Caches, with different rarity, that are gated by a payment, is imo designed to create a psychological response to increase player excitement and led the player to spend money, to gamble, to pay for a random prize. In this case, to do a single payment which also has to be done in few time, because tickets (Treasure caches) have expiration timer. What reaction do you think a kid (the game is rated +16) will have if they recieve an "Ascendant Treasure Cache" and if they dont have the DLC. Let me tell you, they are gonna be psychological influenced to make their parents buy the DLC in a hurry. To open a prize that they dont even know what can be. This is explicity forbidden in some contries. For instance in Japon, Korea, the developer MUST list all the items in the loot caches with the exact % of drop. Still, thats a relaxed regulation that doesnt ban the random loot behind a pay wall. In Belgium and Netherland the regulations are much more severe. Games that do any kind of gambling are forbidden. There are games like CSGO, that had to create a specific version for these countries completely removing the loot boxes from the game. They do to protect the young ppl from gambling. Add to that I've read multiple times in the chat of my official server how people is looting this treasure maps and they dont have the DLC and they comment they werent planing on buying the DLC but with that treasure map they have the curiosity of know whats inside so they buy it. So, imo, clearly, the system to influence users to buy the DLC just to claim the prize is working as intended. And imo this should be put in the knowledge of countries that do regulate gambling in game for evaluation.

  33. Updated to reflect "double the size of The Island" - which is really just a call-out to the original map description, didn't mean to intend it would be double the size of the previous Center.

  36. Scorched is looking incredible! Excellent work on both it and Bob's Tall Tales, the latter especially feels like a real labour of love! Really hoping to see some Scorched Earth achievements popping up on Steam though! Since all the ASE DLC is included now, I'd love to see map specific achievements to get!

  37. I normally don't comment but I wanted to say how happy I am about it not being delayed. I would always rather wait longer than have it be delayed or unfinished. Good job the Wildcard team! (People seem to think a day is a delay)

  38. I would prolly agree to this, its just added to the forums to give us a sense of "they care". Still waiting for ORP servers and its going on day 178 maybe 179 now.

  39. No, you don't get to twist my words like that and expect to get away with it. Again... "Even if we factor in that the customer service for Conan has degraded since FunCom was effectively bought by TenCent, they still have an overall better history of customer service and a better history of bug fixes than WC/ARK have had. Over the lifetime of these two games, WC has focused more on quantity over quality, FunCom has focused more on quality over quantity." It would be dishonest to "put aside" either company's customer service when the point you were replying to was about comparing their customer service. You've made claims about FunCom's customer service so you can't just duck out of that conversation now and pretend it didn't happen. Even if we take into account that FC's customer service is not as good as it used to be, it's still better than WC's has been. Advantage: FunCom. No, ARK's DLC is not mostly cosmetic. Almost all of their DLC's have been direct gameplay DLC's and all of them have included power creep features. And just so you understand, no one's complaining about paying for maps during ASE, so don't get the idea that anyone (including me) thinks that the original ASE maps should all have been free. The complaint about the paid DLC maps in ASE was that they all included power creep, that is the crux of the issue being discussed. This one specific DLC, Bob's, is the first DLC they've ever produced that's mostly cosmetic. All of their other DLC, for the entire history of ARK, has been functional game DLC, with only a couple of cosmetic items included in each DLC before now. In the meanwhile, Conan has been selling entirely cosmetic DLC for years. This is the first time WC has tried anything remotely like a cosmetic pack, and even now they deliberately included items that affect game play and cause power creep. Bob's has 39 items in it with 17 of those items affecting game play and some of them being OP items. So even now, when WC is putting more DLC into this cosmetic pack than they have before, it still has a substantial number of items that affect game play and introduce power creep to the game. Whether you like or dislike the Oasisaur, whether you think it's weak or strong, is beside the point. It's still true that the Oasisaur affects game play and so do 16 other items in the pack. If "Bob's" had been entirely cosmetic this would be a different conversation, but it's not entirely cosmetic, which means it's still inferior to Conan's cosmetic DLC packs. Advantage: FunCom. Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure we could spend time comparing each of the various DLC's and quantifying how many cosmetic items you get and the price of each... but all of that completely misses the point. You can argue all day long about which game gives you more cosmetics for your money but you're having the wrong argument. The point is that the Conan DLC's are all cosmetic, which means the DLC's in Conan are entirely optional. If people don't want to buy them there's no pressure on the player to do so, if people do want to then the player can decide whether or not it's worth the price, and whatever they choose their game play is not affected nor impacted. But all of the DLCs in ARK include items that cause power creep in the game, with some of them being OP items, which means that a player has to buy the DLC if they want to keep up with the power curve of the game. WC deliberately builds their DLC to create considerable pressure on players to spend the money or fall behind. In Conan players spend the money because they want to, in ARK players have to spend the money or they are weakened compared to other players. Advantage: FunCom. Then you've been extremely lucky in ARK. Many, many (MANY) people have experienced plenty of catastrophic bugs in ARK equally as terrible as anything that has ever happened in Conan. There have been multiple bugs over the years that resulted in "entire bases being destroyed", people losing all or most of their tames, losing max level characters, getting locked out of their tribe, getting locked out of the game while their entire base decays and all of their tames despawn, etc. As we've already discussed, FunCom is not as good about bugs as they used to be, basically since Tencent took them over. But (again) even if we take into account the fact that FunCom has deteriorated somewhat they still have a better track record of not-breaking-the-game than WC has. Advantage: FunCom. The difference is that every new DLC in ARK causes power creep, which puts pressure on players to buy the DLC or get left behind. That is the very definition of coercion. No one is "forced" to buy ARK DLC but if they don't then they will be weakened compared to other players, that's what coercion is. When Conan released Siptah they found out that players were able to use transferring between the two maps to gain advantages over players who only owned Exiles. After some time they decided to stop transfers so that all players on the Exiles map were on a level playing field with other players on the Exiles map, and the same with Siptah-vs-Siptah players. But in ARK the new maps include power creep on purpose, it's a deliberate part of WC's plan to coerce people into buying the new DLC/map or fall behind the power curve. WC could have introduced new maps in such a way that they did not create power creep, but instead they see power creep as a feature they can leverage, a tool for pushing people into more sales, they are deliberately coercing players to buy each new DLC by putting people at at a disadvantage if they don't. FunCom wants their players to have a level playing field, WildCard deliberately uses power creep as a way to coerce people into buying each DLC. Advantage: FunCom. False. The facts are calling you out and you're waaay off. 17 of the 39 items in Bob's affect game play, and some of them are truly OP. Technically that's 56.4% RP, but even that number overlooks or ignores just how much the power-creep items can matter in the game. Even if you were right, even if it was 99% RP (which again, it's not, that's way off) that other 1% would still matter if it was OP. Adding any power creep to a DLC is inferior to a DLC that is entirely RP. Advantage: FunCom. Eventually yes, you could do that, but only after the people who bought it early were already far ahead of you. And to be clear, there's some truth to what you're saying, I agree with you in part. Since this is more nuanced for PvE than for PvP I'll address them separately. For PvE players and single-players, if they were willing to wait until the next free DLC map was released they could gain access to the power-creep features that were introduced with each paid DLC map. That's something WildCard did that was good. But it still doesn't change the fact that making people wait for months to have access to the recent power-creep content was a form of soft coercion. It's reasonable to argue that PvE and single-players could simply exercise some self-restraint and gain access to that content when the next free DLC map was released. But this still means that Conan DLC has almost all been cosmetic, with no pressure to buy the DLC or fall behind other players, and each new DLC has been equally available to all players in the game at the same time. In Conan people all players whether PvE, PvP or single-player all gain access to each new DLC at the same time as everyone else. Advantage: FunCom. Now we move on to PvP, where things are worse. For PvP players that "generosity" meant nothing. If someone was a PvP player when a new paid DLC map was released they had two options - a) buy it right away or b) get a beat-down from people who bought it. By comparison, the only time Conan ever released a DLC that gave an advantage in PvP was when they released Siptah, and then FunCom made the decision that this was not a fair way to treat PvP players, and ever since that one release they have made sure that all PvP players in the game have access to changes that affect gameplay at the same time. Changes to thralls that affect PvP? All PvP players get it at the same time. Changes that affect weapon performance? All PvP players get it at the same time. Changes that affect attacking/defending bases? All PvP players get it at the same time. But in ARK every DLC that has ever been released, including Bob's, gives an immediate advantage to people who buy it right away. Again, using power creep as a tool for coercion. Advantage: FunCom. And again, the Oasisaur is only one small part of the picture. A significant portion of of the items in Bob's affect game play, and some of them are truly OP. That goes way beyond any discussion of whether the Oasisaur is good or not. Also again, every Conan DLC except for one, Siptah, has been 100% cosmetic whereas not one paid DLC for ARK has been 100% cosmetic. Advantage: FunCom. True. After releasing Siptah, FunCom (eventually) listened to the players, decided that it was P2W and reversed their decision, stopping map transfers so that players on both maps were on a level playing field. WIldCard, on the other hand, has deliberately ensured that all of their DLCs, including Bob's, are P2W by adding power creep to every DLC as a way to coerce people into buying them. Advantage: FunCom. True, but pointless of you to mention. Of course they're both businesses, and of course they're not charities, because duh obviously. That's neither here nor there because it has nothing at all to do with the discussion. The issue being debated is which of those businesses treats their customers better and has less predatory business practices. That's objectively false. WildCard's model for DLC is much more coercive and predatory than FunCom's, for all of the reasons listed above. Advantage: FunCom. Repeating your lousy argument doesn't make it better. Setting the bar low for WildCard doesn't argue in your favor, it simply shows that you know your position is weak and you're trying to make excuses for WildCard. If you have to make excuses like that for WildCard then you already know FunCom is doing a better job. Advantage: FunCom.

  40. the artifact that sits above the redwood forest extending across the river is a map/texture tear caused by their broken lines of code. even though the Error tells them what lines are throwing errors ( line 873 of D3D12Util.cpp for example which is a constant error that crops up since day 1) they do not publicly announce they are aware, do not publicly announce they are working on it, and do not publicly give an ETA for when it should be fixed. WC/SG is by far the worst and LAZIEST dev studio. Customer service is nonexistent and they do not CARE that win10/xbox can't play the island right now. Lots of people say "just play SE" but im paying for a terrible server experience already via Nitrado, where my steam friends can still play the game so why should i say "oops sorry since WC/SG doesnt seem to care about my experience, im gonna remove all of your progress and make everyone start over on SE" Naw fam that aint it. ignoring the overall problem doesnt make the issue go away.

  43. We've just deployed a new type of server across the network (for the various game types) that we'll be referring to as "Expire" (which is what you can search for in the session filter). These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st. We're preemptively using our allocation for The Center to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the Scorched Earth Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto Scorched Earth temporarily. Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st, so if you intend to use them remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.
