I know we've seen a few of them already and most of them are valid, but my specific beef with it, is that if you decide you don't want it, there is no way to just filter out content that has to do with it and i feel that was intentional to kind of bully you into buying it. Every time i find an explorer note or a treasure map that tells me to make a purchase, or when i open my engram list and it's filled with essentially advertisements for this DLC it makes me want to dig in and not buy it more. Trust me, i get it, they have a checkered past and a publisher that is terrible with money, and their mob boss nitrado shaking them down to pay their debts back, but come on. It's already bad enough they are making us pay 30 dollars for a third of the content with a promise of the other 2/3rds later.. i have been playing this and ASE since launch i do not preorder anything from wildcard. It's just the principal of the matter at this point. they keep hitting us up for money every chance they can. it's starting to remind me of other AAA companies and their 50 dollar mounts and such. XD tldr: stop "advertising" in my game for content i am not going to buy.

coming center is good news for us. but I think wild card have to do creature vote for rag. They use gigantoraptor for island contents and say gigantoraptor will update basic game. it means rag cant have their own creature.

WOOHOOOO THE CENTER!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!! Probably my top favorite map, to those that started playing after the addition of aberration, the center to a lot of us long time original ASE veterans holds a place in our hearts that is indescribable. I will never forget those beginning months of that map. I hope you guys fixed that blasted lighting issue in the snow after a thunderstorm though. OOOOFFF! That was enough to give ya epileptic seizures! Good to see the Shasta is BACK on the center where it was voted to be! I would like to see you guys relaunch The Center how it did originally and NOT TO CHANGE IT THIS TIME! I mean in the regards that a Giga (or Carchar) has a rare chance to spawn ANYWHERE on the map. The Center was supposed to be how many times harder than the island and after that change it really wasn’t. Nothing screams Ark to me than going about doing different tasks and have that fill the back of your pants moment. I also hope you guys added some things to the map that the rest of the maps got as far as element spawns or black pearl spawns like Ragnarok. Every non-story map seemed to get things like creatures and resources that were capable to get on the previous story maps, except The Center. Rag had the wyvern scar and wyvern bay, it introduced us to the ice wyvern, the griffin and the in world mini bosses (that were a lot of fun to run), as well as the desert with the SE creatures. Val had the in world broodmother and the deinychus and the aberration biome. Crystal Isles introduced us to the crystal wyverns and also had the desert biome and gave us the ability to farm element and black pearls for tek. Last but not least Fjordur gave us just about everything in one package (kinda wish it was a little bigger than it was but still awesome map). The point I’m making is The Center seemed to have gotten left behind and always felt like the map had the potential to offer more than what it did. There are cool things about it like the underworld, the air pockets in the ocean the volcanic islands, the ice cave and the super deep ocean but they’re almost 1 trick ponies. Yeah it’s cool to go check em out but after that they get forgotten. It’s probably too much last minute at this point and I hope you guys already thought about that sort of stuff and added in some of the things that The Center got left behind on, but also hopefully to continue to bring it up to date in the future as the roadmap plays out, as the story maps get released. Just food for thought and all in the same, like I started this……WOOOHOOOOOOO THE CENTER!!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Definitely excited for this one!!!!

Is there another DLC coming with The Centre that isn't apart of the Bob's Tall Tales Pack? Perhaps a DLC expansion similar to Bob's Tall Tales but for community maps? Like and expansion pass for the Centre, Ragnarok and Valguero with maybe new fantasy items? Also when will be be getting the next community creature vote soon, I miss going through new submissions and having that fun again.

For this specific case, just filter out the DLC engrams (last icon on the upper right corner, a human head), you won't see them anymore.

I don’t agree with trash talking. But I do hope this update fixes the issues with my Nitrado server. We’ve been down since the SE release as well. A bought game on a paid rented server, and they have a partnership. mom hindsight. I would have not put on any mods, or at least fewer, because it’s update after update after day after day. I love the mods. I love the game. I don’t like spending money for a week of downtime though. Fingers crossed it’s playable tonight.

This is great news. I hope there is more Paid DLC and Premium mods. A in game store would be awesome. The need for metal is real.

Does the "double the size" comment mean its double its original inc redwoods size or or double the size of the island?

CAN YOU OPEN MORE SERVERS? HOLY HELL. You release a new map, a free to play weekend, and add it to game pass, and you have not NEARLY enough servers for your players who have been here! I want to PLAY the game I paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are you about to release a new map and a PAID DLC and a TON of people can't even play..............great business handling.

You're just realizing this now? Many of us figured that out before it even released.. Heck even when it was even announced, and they screwed over a large portion of the playerbase...

If it helps: in the Server where I play I am called "creator of a new writing" because I solve this problem by writing each word separated by "points" instead of separating them with "space" (for.example.I.write.every.sentence. .in.this.way) Playing in crossplay, those who use the PC or PS5 do not see their censored sentences while talking to someone on XBox (a different filter is used on their side) while on XBox I see 90% of the sentences "censored by asterisks *** *", so when they ask something important in chat or try to talk to me, I ask them to rewrite the sentences, separating them with "points" instead of "space" and in this way I can read everything... This method it works well to the point that even other XBox players have understood and started writing as I do. Additional tip: in XBox chat to insert a "point" simply double-click on the "Y" button (single press on "Y" to space the words, double click to replace the "space" with the "point") to speed up writing.

Storm rate was toned way down in ASE, I suspect it will be in ASA as well. Its just a matter of going thru all the same bugs from ASE and how far into the list was the weather.

Added support for Scorched Earth Ascended but still work to be done to reveal Oasisaurs. .. and possibly Wyvern nests/eggs. ..edit.. Wyvern nests are already available. Eggs - I'm gonna need some time to work on the code. Essentially instead of just having the one dropped item with a "DroppedBy" revealing the wyvern parents we now have more steps to go through: DroppedItemGeneric_FertilizedEgg_NoPhysicsWyvern_C - contains the location and a reference to the actual egg via a "MyItem" property. PrimalItemConsumable_Egg_Wyvern_Fertilized_Lightning_C - is the actual egg - but that contains no location data. I need to get the object reference from the generic, find that object in the game data then get the "CustomDescription" to match what was displayed previously. I don't have much time this evening but should have it completed - along with reading in the Oasisaurs - by the weekend. .. edit 2.. Got the eggs!!.. now to try work out Oasisaurs. .. edit 3 .. Oasisaur might take me some time. Turns out there are new property types I'm not handling so not reading in all the properties I'm expecting to see for ASV as I bail when it comes to properties types I've not handled.

Hey, since SE is a bit busy at the moment, i tried to continue on an official The Island Server. Unfortunatley it became unplayable due to visual glitches. Shadow/Sunrays are flashing/flickering a lot, like someone is turning lightswitches on and off over and over again. Happens even inside my base and seems to be more common, where a lot of shadow/fog and light is mixing up (forest areas during sunrise/dawn). Pretty positive about this is a new glitch introduced with the Launch of Secorched earth. Anybody got that aswell? I remember this was once a problem on PC at the release and got fixed.

Hey folks at Wild Card. Terrible job, once again, when it comes to rolling out your product. Not sure whose in charge of planning and deployment involving releases or in ordering the correct number of official servers, but they apparently need to be reassigned or let going because given my customer experience with Ark Ascended and the lack of official servers to play on as a paid customer and a game pass subscriber, not ensuring that those of us who purchased your game and play it by investing real life hours definitely shows what Wild Card thinks of its loyal based vs. people who will try the game out for free, then ditch it because it’s “flavor of the week” on game pass is over. I can not begin to express to you the disappointment and frustration of myself and other players who voiced their frustrations and disappointment in Discord over not being able to get on to an official server on launch day after buying ASA months ago and then paying the $30 for Bob Tall Tale content only to be delayed by the last minute client roll out that definitely impacted the ability to get on a server before they filled up. Given the expectations set by Wild Card during ASA’s initial launch of not wanting console players to be “left in the dust” by other players who had release day access in getting started, when console players didn’t, I was very disappointed, but not surprised that Wild Card learner nothing from its mistake of not ensure that this type of player experience was not repeated during other releases like this one (actions and words not the same), and yet it was but even worse then before because after playing nearly the same for ASA additional content for Aaron game and DLC that was released as free yesterday on Game Pass and collecting another $30, people couldn’t get in, either via the Ob on an Official Server they were a member of or through a new character because Wild Card did not “plan accordingly” to the fact that on launch day, in addition to ASA’s existing customer base, ASA was free to play on Game Pass on console, with someone posting WC’s gratitude over the last several hours about the overwhelming interest or success in the game, or words to that effect, when in fact limiting the number of Official Servers to a level well below your company paid customer base was and is going to create a false or misleading image of “overwhelming interest” (and a lack of sincerity on what WC really thinks of its loyal supporters) when it was in fact a problem on WC’s end because it’s really because the folks in charge of resource planning and deployment “short changed” Wild Card and its consumer base to the point of creating “Very Dissatisfied” customers like me. Wild Card has a great product in Ark as a survival game, but continues to score “F”s and “D”s with it’s lack of Customer Focus Culture” (Microsoft had a whole “CFC” initiative once upon a time) and inability to set the proper customer expectations, especially with it comes to game releases, release days, announcements, resulting in a “Very Dissatisfied” customer experience overall… VN84

Well, he said a "Treasure Map." And I think he is referring to an item called: Treasure Cache Map With description: Use to ping the location of buried treasures. Have this in your inventory when you dig. I dont think it is to reveal some cache leaved by a player. Would have not much sense at least in PVE.

You are spending real money, indeed it can only be bought with real money. Imo to comply with regulations, users without the DLC shouldnt be receiving that treasure maps, or for users without DLC there should be an additional information line indicating what exactly the user is gonna recieve for buying and opening the loot crate, erm, the "treasure map".

I'll be happy to make my desert armor, as soon as I can find ANY metal that doesn't require me being able to fly to the top of a mesa to do so. Can't get any starter metal at all, not the tiny pittance you can normally get from harvesting normal rocks, no round river rocks in the water...nothing. Can't get even just the measly 10 raw I need to make 5 ingots to make the smithy I need TO make the desert armor ;...;

In my opinion those tames are fine like they are by the simple fact they can breed and get mutations. On my server someone has been breeding brontos to the point they are born at 5500 weight. Those stat variations depending on level, things that oasisaur doesn't have as it always spawns at lvl 1 and can't be bred. For those tames maybe I'd ask support to make all structures buildable on them.
