  1. Since we are going to pay anyway, I want my characters to be complete with stats, and my character to be transferred. Nobody wants to have to do those boss fights again.

  2. What are you clowns doing? You’re about to wipe years of work from thousands of people and you can’t show us a screenshot of a Dinosaur in ASA? Ark is a 10/10 game with 0/10 community managers. Legitimately the worst communication I’ve ever seen from a game developer. At this point people have every right to throw tomatoes at you.

  3. Hello Survivor ! We are happy to present the Nothosaurus, a giant amphibious lizard ! Behavior : This is a large marine lizard, which regularly comes out of the water to bask on hot rocky beaches. This creature is found in shallow waters. He tends to be quickly aggressive, however he remains vulnerable during his naps. Apparence : Smaller than a plesiosaur, the Nothosaurus is relatively slender, which gives it incredible agility in water. Its front legs are equipped with claws allowing it to adhere to rockeries, as long as its hind legs equipped with large muscles allow it to jump out of the water. Taming : When he basks in the sun, it's time to approach discreetly to ride him by giving its fish. He will then rush into the water and a marine rodeo begins. It will be necessary to give its a fish to calm him during its spins at the risk of being unseated and at its mercy. Utility : The Nothosaurus is a pretty good and fast swimmer. Regarding the fight, it can both use its powerful jaw to shred flesh and its tail to inflict great damage. It is also able to perform torpedo attacks thus increasing its speed. The Nothosaurus also has a gloatrum in which it will store fish liver oil, which can be recovered to make a fishing elixir. The latter then increases the quality of the loots caught. It can also preserve fish meat longer. Dossier : Wild : The Nothosaurus Giganteus is an amphibious creature, a bloodthirsty killer that can move both in water and on land. The anguish of strolling by the sea and seeing this behemoth emerge out of the water and bite off its poor victim. The only opportunities we had to observe the Nothosaurus were when it was lying on the edge of the ocean to rest. Their lifestyle is very close to the Seals. It is without counting on these teeth as sharp as razor blades. To see it so skilfully hunting fish is an incredible sight, but rare are the still living witnesses of this aquatic broom. Domesticated : For the more courageous, taming a Nothosaurus Giganteus is an excellent asset for its tribe, despite moving slowly on land, it displays all its agility once in the water. Discovering the seabed on the back of Nothosaurus is an unforgettable moment, thanks to its incredible ease under water. Although he is a faithful ally, he is above all a fast and effective murderer, especially for the fish he will kill until his thirst for flesh is satisfied. A very ingenious device is located at the level of its neck, a kind of pocket which stores and preserves the fish longer then transforms them into a kind of oil very popular with fishing enthusiasts, I have even seen some taken enormously after being in contact with this oil… Enjoy that creature which could be completely modify by Wildcard ! Special Thank to Skeel, Arwenn & Umbra for the dossier !

  4. Agreed, but its not only the proportions. Its pretty obvious they've done everything possible to make the ASE pic look drab and dull. Even a sneaky bit of moonlight coming through the window on the ASA pic lol. ASE pic must be set to lowest graphics setting too because apart from the obvious changes to individual building peices, my ark looks pretty much like that second pic already?

  5. INTRODUCTION BLAKYPITHECUS The Master Of The Weapons Ark was born in 2015 and we all fell in love with its graphics, beautiful at the time, with the creatures that populated it, with multiplayer ... these are just some of the features that make it special, but I noticed one very particular thing during my dino lv. hunts 150 and my explorations....STATUES OF MONKEYS ARE EVERYWHERE, in caves, temples, tell me a map where these statues are not present. Some of you will have already figured out where I'm going, while for others the statues will be just decorative, a tribute to the jungle or to the second boss of the game ever, the Megapithecus!!....and if he told you it's not just that ? I'm sure these statues represented the arrival of something one day, something that would change the meta of the ark once again, the player of the ark needs a creature that can help him in defense and attack, that he can use its strength to defend us during our epic explorations and, why not, help us in boss fights. Meet the Blakypithecus, the king of insensitive nature!!! Initially the concept and the idea had started from the fact that I was not disappointed but a little embittered by the design of the monkeys of the time, it is true the dinopithecus has arrived (although it does not use rifles as it originally described ...) , but I thought that, now that the game has finally come to a conclusion and that it will now continue to rise for years to come ... to start the thematic team. Let me explain, a clan in the game manages to make a battle using only one type of species, such as team triceratops, crocodiles and then monkeys. Not to mention his ability which in my opinion was lacking in the game and which would allow a team to be highly versatile. Also I wanted to see not only a primate that finally walks on all fours and can be ridden at the same time, but one that is inspired by king kong (yes...i'm a fan of mostervers). SPECIES NAME: Gigantopithecus Blaky COMMON NAME: Blakypithecus PERIOD: Pleistocene TEMPERAMENT: Neutral-Aggressive RARYTI: similar to Ovis🐏 but more common DIET: Onmnivorous WILD Bigger, tougher and stronger than its cousins, the Blakypithecus has over time become the undisputed king of The Ark. Despite being famous for his laziness, he is not a creature to be underestimated, in fact their presence on a battlefield could change their fate in minutes, which is why statues were erected in his honor. They are solitary creatures competitive with those who dare to challenge them, so much so that even the T-rex fear their wrath, but despite their reputation as great warriors they prefer to eat and rest under the canopy of trees, aware that their well-deserved reputation as warriors will defend them from every threat. Their powerful arms allow them to deliver attacks that can both knock back or severely damage the opponent, as well as defend against attacks. His roars manage to frighten smaller creatures, such as birds of prey, carno and dilo, aware of the opponent's physical superiority ... as well as preferring not to be part of his daily menu. As if being as strong as a god weren't enough, they are incredibly intelligent, so much so that they have understood over time that using certain tools on certain occasions will allow them a easier life both in normality and in the bitter battles that await them in the future... Some explorers say they have found them almost everywhere as long as there were many forests or in temples .... but one must be careful, some "special" specimens have only been sighted by the few survivors who managed to escape them, they say they are more bigger and more powerful than the others and who with their impressive weapons guard the mysterious ARTIFACTS!!! Place of residence: dense forests of various kinds, mountains (in that case they will have a white color, as some yeti hunters assumed) and tamples! Trivia: The MEGAPITHECUS BOSS is only able to spawn Blakypithecus in Alfa mode, one for each time he summons monkeys. (size of best is the wall) ADDOMESTICATED Its taming varies according to the sex of the creature, if it is FAMELE it will be passive and you will have to give it what it asks for such as berries, mutton, rotten meat, etc. The problem comes with the MALES, because they will have a particular taming similar to amargasaurus and Charca, you will have to make them kill THE PREDATORS REQUESTED BY HIM!!! (Given the difficulty of doing this, you recommend taming them first and releasing them when they are sacrificed). The T-REXes will give more tamings if he asks for them. Once tamed you will find yourself a very efficient bodyguard. It can be ridden bareback or, with its saddle armor, it will not only have greater resistance due to the removable armor shield, but also have a second saddle on the creature's right shoulder, to allow a sniper to lurk. Of course he won't be able to use the shield when he uses his SPECIAL ABILITY, which I'll show you now. BASE STATS AND GROWTH Health 3000 +220 +5.4% 0.07 Stamina 500 +42 +10% Oxygen 200 +15 +10% Food 3000 +300 +10% Weight 550 +10 +4% Melee Damage 100 +3.1 +1.7% 7% 17.6% Movement Speed 100% N/A +1% Torpidity 2000 +100 N/A 0.5 Movement [u/s] Base Speed Sprinting Speed Stamina Wild Tamed1 Tamed2 Wild Tamed1 Tamed2 Walking 200 ? ? 700 1050 1100 20 Swimming 350 ? ? ? ? ? ? DIET AND COLLECTION OF RESOURCES He can usually gather wood for food such as berries and meat, but depending on the tool he uses, he can also flay carcasses for hide or hammer stone for stone and flint, and so on. it is an omnivorous creature, it eats everything that is edible. ABILITY and MOVESET (PVP\PVE) Its peculiarity is that of BEING ABLE TO USE OBJECTS AS WEAPONS: (trunk, boulders, giant boulder, vine, logs, cannon, bones, stalactites etc.) (!!!ATTENTION!!! The fact that he can use the objects from the ground does not mean that he can use them all at the same time, he will have to select on his personal menu the skill, or rather the weapon, and use that, AFTER TOT TIME you can change if it is too OP.) This special can be accessed through the creature menu, where you can decide which move to use specifically. The object it possesses also varies depending on where it is located, for example (Temple -> columns, large skeletons animals -> bones to throw ...). In addition to this, it has a normal defensive set such as: 1- The males have a fearsome WAR ROAR which, in addition to being similar in affection to that of the dinopithecus and being very cool visually, is capable of unleashing all the allied creatures of the same GROUP into a charge. ( He Can change the animation depending on the weapon he is using ) |CTRL| 2- He is generally able to use his Arm as a shield and, if he has the armor, he can use a shield that is unlocked with the movement of the arm, the damage inflicted by enemies greatly decreases but he will not be able to use weapons if parried. 3- Parry, Normal Attack with slap or punch 4- Heavy Attack that varies depending on the object it possesses, for example with the trunk it can make a super jump and hit the enemy with a super crash, like the ferox. 5- It has a Turret Mode, which also varies by the object it owns. It can stand on two legs, but it will consume a little more stamina. 6- The center is the ideal map for them since they are able to climb like the thylacoleo on the walls of the mountains in a modest way, but above all they are able to make jumps large enough to overcome rivers and pass from one mountain to the next one. THESE CHARACTERISTICS OF ITS MAKE IT INTERESTING AND USEFUL ALSO FOR Ark: The Survival Of The Fittest!!!!! - Females also being able to use the ability to use objects at will, she is able to carry medium-sized creatures in her arms, even puppies. FISIC ASPECT Its appearance is very similar to that of normal Orangutans, the only difference being that their size and strength is far superior. They show facial dimorphism, the males have this huge collar, the females do not have it (in addition to this the females have the ability to grab small creatures and bring them to safety). They mostly walk on all fours but can stand upright when they want!!! The colors vary according to the gender and the place of origin, and are colors of the type: red, orange, dark red, black, dark green, gray, white and with black or white skin. Mutations provide it with colors such as yellow, purple, blue, and lime green. DROPS Pelt Raw Meat Prime Meat Ascending Objects and Projects (Rare) FINAL CONSIDERATIONS Combat and Utility: Although at first glance it is a very powerful creature, bordering on being OP, it is balanced in the fact that what it takes to tame it compensates for its power in attack and defense, but above all it is a creature that would be implemented , (if Vien Diesel will help us) at the end of the game. This is not a role to be taken lightly in my opinion, because it would mean that it must match the needs of a player who wants something MORE if that can be said. Raid: Having said that it is a creature perfectly adaptable to the needs of those who know how to use it, both in PVE (Boss, basic defense from hostile creatures, Small resources, Alpha etc.) but at the same time also for PVP (it is a perfect animal for raids because in addition to defending players, with or without shields, it is ideal for attacking, which you can customize as you wish and it can defend the bases even when you are OFFLINE with the DK-style turret modes etc.). Thanks for watching IN SUBSTANCE, THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU GENTLEMEN, I RECOMMEND READ IT ALL BEFORE YOU GET TO YOUR CONCLUSION, FOR THE REST HAVE FUN WITH THIS EVENT. I would liste your opinion!! Thanks in advance to some colleagues who have led me to improve my concept with their passion for the game and their advice

Honestly, now that im almost certain I know who it is, I feel like votes should be visible, that way you can see why all the people in the competeing place are downvoting all your stuff because they think it will cause a issue lol, looking at sivatherium people who downvoted my polite comments on their submission lol

  9. This isn't anything new. The PVP community on all three systems are all heavily united in ensuring the Bison doesn't win, because they won't have anything new that can break the current meta if it wins. Not my problem if anything, they all have the bugger. lol

What a dumb system. My account has been around for almost 2 years, so it's not like it's a freshly created one. Hopefully others can help it to get/maintain top 10 spot for next voting phase. :')" ))

And, to the people downvoting for whatever reason, just know what you are doing is wasting your time, but I do hope that it got out your frustrations because noone here wants to breed toxicity!

  16. I myself use to have pretty severe irl arachnophobia, but cute is cute. Although I wouldn't really want something like this near me irl, it is still freaking adorable. Honestly games with their spiders have helped tone down my fear of them. Now its just the creepy ones like black widows. Still dont want any spiders near me though. This spider reminds me of Lucas the spider as well. Lucas is so damn cute man.

  19. Yes, the update is not just a bug-dino added. I bet they added strings and loops and codes to all the creatures that can consume the pheromone and handle codes of the Rhynio and its inpregnating and the offspring etc, animations for popping the Juvenile Rhynio etc. Im no scripter, but this sounds to me like a lot of sense...

  23. Even if they do NOT do it on purpose, they should still show it in the future as it looks in the game. After all, hardly any of us play in the devkit. I really have a lot of patience with WC and the developers, but at least there they should please pay attention to a certain accuracy.

  26. I really think the spawnrate is actually PERFECT. I mean its an unique spawn and it is also in a somewhat accesible area for starters. Besides that on PvE, you can trap it and share it! (Even though collecting male juice is a prerequisite for sharing the female as a balloonfactory) Having one with an actual rare spawnrate feels like a triumph. The "rare" spawnrate of the gigas is utter nonsence. If it was like the giga spawnrate, we all would have ended up with dozens of them already! How rare do you want it, no I want everything! Give me more bleeh! Greedy childlike-people like this ruin the game... Also the mechanic behind getting decent level offspring makes find really high levels somewhat pointless... AND BESIDES THAT ! I already have 2 and didnt even try that hard, and I also gave 1 Pheromone away to someone else because I already had 3. So I could have ended up with even more. Maybe whining kids should have had a lower spawnrate on this planet 0.o

  27. I absolutely love this creature! and I love a concept that I think was brought up on the original submission of the females being a larger rideable tame with the poison abilites and the males being a smaller shoulder pet net cannon. This being a shoulder pet would be so so cute and might convince those that have a bit of fear in spiders

  28. The number 1 reason theres zero incentive for official players to ever buy ASA or Ark 2. Its game over. They couldve made millions just by introducing a battle pass or subscription of some sort that people wouldve happily paid, guaranteed, instead those players will be walking away. Very smart wildcard, good job.

  30. The proportions of the ASE pictures are deformed, this is not how ASE realy looks. It's fake to make ASA look better.

  31. Your observation is perfectly valid. I've been away from this forum a long time but I reactivated my account just to report all these new users as fake accounts. Your other remarks can be usefull as well: Given the fact they fabricated fake comparisions (as demonstrated by @Dienstbier) to show the improved graphics, should this not be reported to this Better Busines Bureau?

  32. I have a strange impression on the last crunch I observed no less positive posts from people with a zero post. All of them briefly describe the exquisiteness of the graphics. It looks triche as if the positives were loaded. But that's just an observation and I could be wrong. However, I'm not going to the car dealership for a new version of the car only on the basis of the car lift proposal, not knowing what else it changes. Currently, this is how it looks on the forum and crunch. Players seem to be more interested in graphical improvements. But things like stability improvements, bug fixes, and most importantly, balance are not talked about much because we all know that's ASE's shortcoming. (I'm not saying that it's not talked about at all. Look at this crunch how many 0 posts make up the greatness of the game. Apparently only the graphics are alive.) You know what Wc/SG close this crunch and forum because what are they for? Just announcing irrelevant things? What would it be for? Many would like to see WC/SG statements and answers to our questions. You know, it would be nice to see this graphic without your vision of graphic modifications on crunch. What a pleasure to go on a server and say "Wow, that's great", and in many cases it won't. Because conceptual art differs from the reality of its execution. Same with diagonal triangles, they never folded well, there was always a hole in the roof. Talking to PS5 players, many say that ASA will contain more bugs than ASE. (Maybe they're right, the WC/SG itself doesn't say anything else about it. The only important piece of information was the price change). Which also does not apply to the EU. However, since WC/SG's headquarters are in the US (Kirkland, Washington), EVZ can't do anything. But the Better Business Bureau can do more now. Presenting them in ASA and ASE versions as two different applications, which they are not. ASA is just an updated version of ASE, which means the same maps go there and it's not a new game and we have to pay for it. As part of updating ASE content and fixing bugs that players have been experiencing so far, WC/SG should provide an updated version of ASE or ASA free of charge to ASE owners. The least welcome issue with WC/SG's communication with players could raise WC/SG's image among players. (but that won't happen anyway because they don't care about us) Actually, I'm sick of them too for being so disrespectful to the players. The upshot is that my involvement with ASE has already diminished, I'm just starting to hate WC/SG for their behavior towards players. The game itself is not to blame for anything, even though it has many bugs, it may still have its charm to which many of us have devoted thousands of hours of play, sleepless nights etc. But it won't happen anyway and it's only for a measly €60 for the updates that WC/SG wants from us. This disrespect to the players is not worth a penny.

  33. It is difficult to fully compare the two structure versions since there are inaccuracies in the UE4 picture. Such as, a fabricator cannot fit under a ceiling that is one wall high, and would clip through the ceiling. Also, a fabricator is just shy of being two foundations long. So it would clip through the stairs. The air conditioner is also the wrong color, and looks grungier than in game. So if there is no honesty in the comparison, how is the comparison to be trusted? Even if the UE5 version is fully accurate, and honest, the reveal is tainted by dishonesty. Since now all that comes to mind is wondering what else may have been altered to look worse in the UE4 version to make the UE5 version look more appealing.

  34. Wow, the look of the wooden tier changed entirely. It's more Medieval-y than primitive, and more similar to... Atlas' style. I had expected/hoped the tiers' dimensions would change, and would align with what Atlas had done (which was more square), but it's surprising how the tier was changed so much, when the style of the stone tier is very similar to that of ASE's (...having two types of wooden tiers would have been fun, but oh well). At least now, basegame tiers will be compatible with many building mods, like CKFR/CKF:SF or Arkitect Structures (if their respective owners carry them to ASA). Some changes are a bit less exciting though. Or at least, if I'm trying to be charitable, puzzling. The doorframe, for instance, suggests that we no longer can stack doorframes on top of each other to create large openings, because the top of the frame is now "closed". It allowed for a lot more than just "doorframes" as a use for these pieces (combined with other doorframes, or layered with greenhouse glass, etc.). Not to mention, it was more confortable for tall characters XD Or maybe there are variants for individual pieces, like in Atlas ? Which honestly would be nice, if only to switch between railings and halfwalls (I never understood why Homestead didn't include them from S+). Well, as usual, so little is said that we end up with more questions than answers. I hope the building community doesn't get shafted in this ; we've been an underserved subset of the playerbase for a while, the ASE building system being purely functional (the best elements among us had to be creative against all odds, and showed us tricks to make Ark's building system less dire). Having fewer options instead of more is the opposite of what is overdue. Not to mention, there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the building system itself. Was it really impossible to tell us more about it in this post ? Snap points, blueprints, what have you... We're 2 months away from release.

  37. Forever? No one. But for at least as long at EA does, and that's the very definition of setting the bar low. Only a trash company fails to meet the "EA standards of excellence". Shutting down the servers immediately when releasing a different version of the game fails to meet the standard set by nearly the entire gaming industry.

  38. Hi Ark team, I'd like to know how you're going to make up for the 7-20k hours of progress people will lose on your official PvE servers in August. Really appreciated, how you dishonor those players who respected the rates and mechanics. Always complying to the hellish lag and rollbacks, deleting inventories and setting you back days. Forcing us to redo missions on gen 1 and 2 by randomly deleting that progress while your highscores are still displayed on the ranking boards. How can you say that is legitimate? Forcing people who played the game that long in an absolute legit way. I do understand it for pvp, but for PvE it's just a really hard punch straight in the nuts. All of us official players should be getting a ps5 sponsored by you greedy honorless worms. Love Dinos, hate snails. Regards, one of your most loyal official players in the name of most hardcore players.

  39. This is a great idea, I had a similar idea, I would like to see, the spyer set up a kinda net Web from tree to tree or structure to structure. If something or someone pass through it they become slowed. If you have multiple webs for different spydes then the net would get stronger and harder to pass through,us like a passive defensive net or trap
