  1. "Oh you are waiting for our answers to previous community crunches backlash? here is a bug. please forget what happen and give us your money" -Studio WIld Card

  2. So no way you save a portion of official? Servers amount were never a problem since 2019 last partial legacy shutdown.. What about poor console players, will they able to download and play the official server saves? No other words about concerns regarding overwolf, multiplatform issues (Sony/Microsoft bits for undedicated)... all concerning unofficial? 😕 Nothing else... nothing? 😕 Any change to get code of ASE on github on Epic Unreal Engine like way?

  3. So Studio Wildcard decided to take wait out the backlash strategy. What an anti-consumer studio and cowards. Good luck trying to rebuild a good will in community for ARK 2. I wonder how quickly you'd kill ASA. PS: Also, when will you move your butt and update steam storage page of ARK:SE that game will stop having official support in 4 months? That's tiny but so important detail people need to know.

  4. So when are you going to update your steam page that the original game is getting nuked from orbit in a few months? At this point if you don't do it soon, I might honestly flag the listing for fraudulent advertising. Also cute of you to try and throw a distraction and not mention the backlash that is STILL going. Why even debut this bug if we get under a few months to work with it before our efforts are wiped?

  5. Why are they ignoring the elephant in the room? People are still upset about the Ark SA $60 bundle and the destruction of Ark SE official servers. While I appreciate the big bug, it seems pointless considering that Ark SE will no longer be supported in mere months, and the bug isn't even in game yet. Very few people are happy, and I don't think Ark 2 and Ark SA are going to be very popular with how poorly they've been handled. Personally, I think Ark SA should be free, but it certainly cannot reasonably cost more than $30. What I wanted to hear this week is that they've taken community feedback and have decided to prolong official severs with a rollback to before the announcement (because so many people destroyed their progress and abandoned ship after hearing the news), and that they've reconsidered the current price of Ark SA, but instead we get a dossier for a dying game and no mention of the controversy. Snail Games, it seems like your days may be numbered.

  6. This.... was a very anaemic post considering the position you're in as a company.

  7. Hello survivors, I present to you the Giant Moa, also known as Dinornis. Large for a bird, but fairly small for a platform creature. While it's incapable of flying, it makes up for lost time with it's impressive running speed and stamina. It is unaffected by sandstorms and will also protect the rider from the effects of storms and harsh weather. It is in fact tamed during sandstorms, giving them an actual purpose on Scorched! It has the ability to incubate any egg by sitting on it. It can be equipped with a small round platform saddle, large enough for just a few essentials such as a bed and smithy. Hope you like it! Here are a few reasons why I think you should vote for this creature: Paracers are pretty much the fastest platform creature on Scorched, and they are slow! It gives you something to do during sandstorms. It saves using a million torches to incubate wyvern eggs when you don't have an incubator. No other creatures provide a weight reduction for eggs. If that's caught your interest, here's more info about the potential creature: Basic Info Group: Bird Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Equipment Moa Platform Saddle: A small round platform saddle. Can be ridden with or without the saddle. Dossier "Wild: From a distance, the Moa could easily be mistaken for it's relative, the Emu. Upon approaching it though, it became clear that it was something much, much larger. I'd heard stories about the Giant Moa as a kid, the tallest birds to ever walk the earth, but even in the stories they weren't as big as this! Despite it's humongus size though, it appears to somehow survive on a diet of seeds and berries. For the most part they seem friendly, but friendly shouldn't be mistaken for weak, I've witnessed Moa's shatter the skulls of enemy dinosaurs with their broad sharp beak. Domesticated: While the Moa is relativity easy to befriend, as an adult it doesn't seem to be capable of domestication. It pays no attention to whistles and is definitely not a fan of anyone attempting to climb up onto it's back. Attempts to steal it's eggs don't tend to go well either, the shell is so fragile that the slightest knock can cause it to shatter. The only successful domestication I know of was done by assisting the parents with defending and raising the offspring. It seems well worth the effort though, these things are built for this harsh environment, they are capable of running full speed through a sandstorm, and will happily help incubate other species eggs." Behaviour The Moa is not aggressive until attacked. Once attacked, it will use it's sharp peck and powerful kick to defend against the enemy. Drops Hide Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Taming Adult Moa's cannot be tamed. To acquire a tamed Moa, the player must build trust with the parents, then claim it's offspring when reaching juvenile. Moa's spawn in pairs, one male and one female. In a panic, the female will lay an egg just before a sandstorm. The egg is extremely fragile and cannot be picked up. Once the sandstorm begins, the male Moa will sit on and incubate the egg. To build trust with the parents, the player must help defend from incoming Titanoboas which are attempting to steal the egg, much like defending an OSD. For each Titanoboa killed, the trust meter HUD above the male will increase. After the sandstorm, the male will stand and the baby will hatch. If the parents trust has reached 100%, the Moa family will now follow the the player. While the baby grows to juvenile, the parents trust must be kept up by ensuring the family is kept together and unharmed. This can be done by leading the family into a safe holding pen. Once the baby reaches juvenile, it can be claimed and the parents are no longer required. If it's food gets low, it must be fed seeds, it will not eat berries until fully grown. Utility Abilities Peck: - A long reaching peck with a small AOE. Kick: - A powerful kick with a large AOE and good knockback from legs. Pick up: [C] - Pick up players, small creatures and babies with beak. Sit: [X] + + - Sit down to incubate eggs or regain stamina faster. Jump: [Space bar] - It's long feathers cause it to have reduced fall speed (when not equipped with the saddle). Roles Egg Incubation: When sitting on eggs, it will provide incubation for any egg type. Levelling 'Incubation effectivness' stat can increase incubation speed to faster than an incubator, but has the limitation of not being able to see the egg stats and info. Egg Transport: With an 80% weight reduction of eggs, decent base weight, and good movement speed, it's eggcellent for transporting them. It will not eat eggs, even if force feeding is attempted. Travel: With impressive running speed, stamina, and immunity to the effects of sandstorms, it's well suited to collecting desert loot crates. While it has no visible wings for gliding like the Terror Bird, when not equipped with the platform saddle, it's feathers help reduce it's fall speed, meaning it can jump great distances from hills and mountains without taking any fall damage. Baby/Small Creature Transport: It can pick up and transport small creatures and babies with it's beak, and will keep them held even when dismounted. Mobile Tent: The Moa is not only immune to the effects of sandstorms, but will also provide the rider with protection much like being in a tent. With an Adobe building on it's platform saddle, it can also provide mobile protection to tribemates. Seed Harvester: The primary peck attack will only harvest seeds from bushes (berries can be harvested with the kick attack). Although the iguanodon is capable of converting berries to seeds, it falls short when it comes to crop seeds, this is where the Moa shines. Seeds are also the required food of baby Moa's. Moa Taming Aid: Due to it's invulnerability to sandstorms, it can be very useful for taming more Moa's by protecting against Titaoboas during the sandstorm phase of the taming process. Mobile Clay Farm: It's ability to harvest both Sand and Cactus Sap combined with a Mortar and Pestle or Chemistry Bench on it's platform saddle, makes it very efficient at farming Clay. Weight Reduction Eggs: 80% Sand: 80% Harvesting Seeds Fibre Thatch Wood Sand Cactus Sap Thank you for all the great suggestions that I have been able to use to update this creature submission! 8. I don’t think you guys get it. Lowering the price is nice, but I still think you’re going to get hurt by doing this. You’ve ruined the trust of a lot of people and I don’t think ASA is going to be the money maker you wanted. But you need more money. I understand that. People have to pay the bills. Which is why I ask, rather than repackaging Ark and selling it at the price of a full game, why don’t you make more expansions for the ORIGINAL Ark to tide you over until Ark 2’s release? That’s actual new content that I and many others would buy. I’m not going to buy a full-priced graphics upgrade just to get a new DLC though. Why not scrap ASA entirely (or lower the cost, or add new content to OG Ark at the same time as the remaster) and add new expansions to original Ark? I’m not going to buy the remaster for several reasons, including… 1. Even though the price is better (unless you wanted Ark 2) it’s still ridiculous that people who bought alllll your DLCs over the years are being charged full price. Compare this to other updates or remasters that gave pre-existing owners a discount or upgraded them for free. I’m not paying full amount for a game i already own, and I’m frankly pissed you’d suggest that. 2. ‘Weaponizing of FOMO’ I’d be willing to support you if you released more DLCs for OG Ark, or gave a discount for the remaster to pre-existing owners, but the fact that you’re not doing that, while only releasing new stuff to the remaster, makes me feel like you’re trying to pressure people to only buy the remaster. As someone’s who’s supported wildcard over all these years, this really rubs me the wrong way. This isn’t inspiring me to buy more stuff, it’s inspiring me to never touch your products again. I don’t like being pressured, and rather I feel like I’m being punished for purchasing things from you in the past. Since I’ve been burned once, why would that inspire me to purchase things from you in the future? 3. The situation with mods. Frankly I can’t enjoy Ark without mods and for all i know many of my favorites will never make it to the remaster. On top of that, I might have to pay for them now? Wow, what a deal. Not to mention overwolf impacts performance and is shady as all heck. Again, makes me LESS, not more, inspired to buy the remaster. 4. Not sure how well UE5 will run on my computer. I have a pretty good rig and have never had problems, in fact I can usually play Ark on epic settings, however my graphics card is several years old at this point. Frankly I’m not interested in upgrading my computer for a single game - especially not one I’ve already bought at full price. Ironically the reason I bought the computer in the first place was primarily to play Ark, so I’m not thrilled on having to spend more money for the sake of a single game. 5. And finally, I just don’t trust you guys. Ark and Atlas were in horrible states at launch, you’re using scummy FOMO tactics to try to drive sales of ASA, you’re not giving a single damn discount to people who already bought everything and I feel like I shouldn’t have purchased your expansions over the years because now I’m being punished for it, last week’s bundle was a blatant attempt to drive sales of a game we don’t even have FOOTAGE of yet, and you only included the dlc’s in the full package when everyone erupted at you. So no, I’m not going to buy ASA, my interest in Ark 2 has tanked, and so has my trust in you as a company. Lots of people think this way. However, that makes me ask, if you need money, why don’t you continue releasing expansions for OG Ark? That I would buy, and support you because 1. It’s actually new content. I’m not being charged full price for stuff I already own, I don’t feel like I’m being ripped off, and I don’t feel like I’m being punished for purchasing it like I do the old DLCs following the ASA announcement. It’s ACTUAL new content for a game that, at the end of the day, I mostly enjoy. 2. It would actually make me trust you more because you’re not punishing the people who won’t repurchase content they already own, nor does it feel like you’re transparently weaponizing FOMO. 3. I know you can do it. This isn’t a new engine, you’ve made several DLCs on UE4. I won’t have cold feet like I will with Asa or Ark 2. 4. I know my mods will continue to work and I can play the game the way I enjoy. Frankly, I don’t see WHY you wouldn’t release the new maps and creatures to both versions. There’s a whole heap of people who have lost trust in you and won’t buy the remaster. Releasing expansions for OG ark not only helps fund your company, but will get you money from the WHOLE fanbase rather than the smaller percentage who purchase ASA, and it will start to re-inspire trust in you for the countless people you’ve turned away. It’s win-win in all scenarios, frankly I can’t imagine why you WOULDN’T do it.

  9. Well to quote nooblets in his video from the roadmap crunch…..”*sigggghhhh* awe f*&#!” Let me first start by saying, yeah the bug is cool, definitely could see a usefulness for that in certain situations, be interesting to see it on the ark. Now to throw my 2 cents in in regards to the titanosaur in the room. The whole repaying for ASA, I see both sides of this. Do I think it’s fair for all of us to repay full price for a remastered game, HELL NO! But if this is the one rare chance that WC says that all the changes require a price tag then those of us who have been here for the last 8 years, logging thousands of hours, building communities out of servers and swallowing every crap sandwich snail games *cough*, I mean Wildcard, has shoved down our throats, then we should only be charged 30 bucks MAX for the whole kit and kabootle! Especially when the first and second bundles ARE THE SAME DAM PRICE! Just with a different sammich wrapping! I also do not believe that yanking the plug on official servers for ASE with a 4 month warning was the right move either. Yes it is sad to say that the Ark: Survival Evolved as we know it will have to die, but they probably could have pushed it passed the launch of ASA. That’s what I would do, you have to draw the community to the new product. Not shove the new product down their throats with an all or nothing attitude. Yeah sure we’ll be able to load our tames into single player or unofficial server, but that’s not very appealing to those of us who play official. We play official for a reason! Not to mention there is probably a vast majority of the community that, like me, would have to upgrade their console/pc. Now being Ark is really the only game I play, that’s like buying an airplane to go on vacation. So not only am I going to be paying 60 bucks for ASA (which I probably will, because starting over doesn’t bother me that much), but I’m going to have spend 500 bucks for an Xbox series x. THAT is what people are really ticked about, especially those that have buy the next gen console, and unlike that cheating publisher that holds WC by the dodo nuggets…….US PLAYERS DIDNT MAKE 75 MILLION BUCKS LAST YEAR! My point in this is leave some ASE official servers active (it’s not going to cost you that much so don’t go there), let the PLAYERS make the choice to move to the new iteration of ark. If it really is what you say it is and going to be what we all are expecting it is per what you have told us, then ASE servers won’t be up any longer than a year after the launch of ASA. Now this is a book already, but moving on from the above topic, there are things that you guys at WC should take under deep consideration of the ASA launch. I personally don’t know anything when it comes to mods, but when I see people who do have concerns over the mod manager (overwolf v mod.io), um to me that says something that needs to be given a second thought to, or did snail games call that move too? If they did, then you guys need to tell snail games to sit down and shut up. You get what you pay for, why work with an entity that has some pretty serious questionable aspects instead of work with an entity that has a reputation for safe awesome content. To me that is plain idiocracy, UNLESS it was someone else calling the shots. Moves like that undermine your statement of “we want the new ark experience to be the best it can be”. Just food for thought. Moving on, ASA. Now as I formerly mentioned above, I being a 2015/16 player and remembering what ark life was like without cryopods, cryo fridges, incubators and more recently maewings, you know where I’m going with this…..BREEDING! The last 2 years of breeding on official has been probably the most enjoyable it has ever been, why BECAUSE of those 4 things I just mentioned. It’s nice not to have to plan your every waking minute around a video game. I would like to see and I think this is community wide, the cryos and incubator engrams available in the base learnable engrams that can be learned on any map, and maybe a rare maewing spawn on the island. Especially since extinction and more so gen 2 won’t be out for almost a year after ASA launch. ALSO A RETURN OF THE MOVEMENT SPEED STAT ON FLYERS!!! Cap the dang thing if you have to but let us level movement speed on flyers again dang it!!! Also like nooblets said, fix the longneck rifle reloading hiccup. Finally the last one I can think of is…..let us be able to transfer boss trophy heads and flags to other maps, please. Even if it’s only in pve. Aight this was long enough, I doubt you’ll read it WC, but in case you do. GET RID OF THE ABUSIVE SPOUSE OF A PUBLISHER CALLED SNAIL GAMES; they aren’t helping us (the players), you guys (WC employees) and most of all this game we all love. All they want to do is line their pockets at everyone else’s expense. I’m sure there are many other publishers who would do anything short of killing somebody to publish this game. Wildcard, do things right this time, you won’t get another chance, and tell snail to sit down and shut up!

  10. Dear Ark, Let me start by saying thank you. Thanks you for all your games, dlcs, events, etc. My partner, children, and I have enjoyed countless hours of fun with your products! (Maybe too many lol.) Let me also say I am sorry that an appreciation is the minority of your feedback. I don’t think the juveniles and parental basement dwellers that are so loudly voicing their dissent have any understanding of how business works. Yes, it’s a game. But it’s a game that cost money to make, money to run, and money to update. If you want the best, you have to pay for it. I’ve read the feedback and I have a possible solution. Allow all the people to comment, make their suggestions so they feel “involved” and charge them $5 to do so. Then Ark remastered can be a free upgrade Seriously though, very excited to see unreal 5, and even more excited for Ark 2!! Lastly, I wouldn’t be a true Ark fan if I didn’t selfishly ask for something or share an idea, so throwing this one out there… event colored unicorns?? ❤️

  13. Great job, Wildcard *applause* Could I have your new bug as a poster, Wildcard? I could put it up when Ark Servers shut down.
    2 points
  14. Sorry.. Remind me what the point is of an extended Evo event and a new bug that will be pointless in the months to come? You really are outright ignoring the Elephant in the room, Wildcard. If your community and their opinions meant anything to you, you would seriously reconsider sunsetting official servers and trying to charge us $60 to start over in a game that we already own. You’ve dug yourself a hole so deep and you think releasing a new Dino will get you out of it.. Think again.
    2 points
  15. Nothing to see here, oh look a useless shiny new dino like a lot of others have stated I won’t be back for ASA or the mythical Ark II. if anyone thinks ASA will drop on time your kidding yourself it’ll be 6 months late at least
    2 points
  16. I'm sorry Wildcard, but if you cannot see by now that the community does not care about a new dino that we will have 3 months to play with, or quite frankly about ASA in general, you are totally blind. The community WAS excited about Unreal Engine 5... that was until you dropped that bomb about sunsetting the current servers.... it's BS and you KNOW you're screwing your fan base. This is the final nail in your coffin wildcard. You will not recover from this. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: YOU ARE CURRENTLY WITINESSING THE END OF A GAME STUDIO. WHY did you thinking wiping 6-7 years of everyone's hard work was a good idea? YOU DONT HAVE TO OVERHAUL THE GAME!!!! A simple import of the current UE4 version of the game into UE5 (which will remove the need to wipe servers) IS PERFECTLY FINE!!! It will eliminate the lag and the meshing, which are the two most important things!!!! We would be PERFECTLY HAPPY with that and GLADLY pay for it. DONT DESTROY OUR YEARS OF HARD WORK. WE, THE COMMUNITY, BEG YOU.

  17. With ASA you have put yourself into a position where you really have to deliver. Give us a full list of changes you make for ASA and keep it updated. Get in touch with your players and collect feedback to that list. If you want ASA to become an „evergreen“, the „best Ark can be“, then you need the help of your community. Make use of that resource. There are a lot of changes needed - some bigger ones and lots of smaller ones. Many of which probably wouldnt even come to your mind because of how specific they are (or how bad your idea of balance is, sorry, had to add that part). Also add a new place for ASA related suggestions. The old suggestions page is full of old stuff. Classify the suggestions in categories like ‘under consideration‘, ‘accepted‘, ‘rejected‘, so people know you have seen their idea and what you think of it. Comment on the suggestions. Get in touch, show passion, involve us in the process and earn back some of the trust you have lost.

  19. Looking back now, I wish I had. Out of the current top 10, mine was the last to be posted, which meant I had to catch up on a lot of votes, so I took advantage of my platform to do so. I had no idea at the time how well it was going to be received. Once I realised I was quickly rising to the top of the list I stopped promoting it. It's difficult to say how much of an impact it's had, but what I do know is that it's still gaining the most votes even though I'm not bringing any traffic in any more, I don't think that's because of my name, I think people just like the idea. Anyway, if I ever do another one in the future I will do so completely anonymously

It seems like you just want to carry on with your business as usual, following the ‘stay quiet and wait out the storm‘ strategy. That is not only very frustrating for players, it also doesnt exactly help to believe any of your promises, seeing where your business as usual has taken this game (rampant cheating, extremely unbalanced, massive performance issues…). Who would buy the remake for 60$ if it is plagued by the same issues ASE has had for so long now. Some new graphics and shiny toys dont cut it.

  21. To the people who not only don't want the Moa but also BASH it: Knock it off, we've already had enough negativity thrown towards a creature simply for being "underpowered" or "uSeLlEsS". Let us have this (that is if the Moa wins). You guys almost had the Hatz, Gorgonops, Bastion Beetle or whatever animal that you wanted so badly but didn't make it to the finals. Don't ruin it for PVE players or Ark breeders who want creatures like the Moa, or the freaking Bison that's bashed to hell and back. And remember: WildCard studios will nerve PVP-oriented creatures. Heck, they might get nerfed to the point that they're so weak that they're as useless as the Moa. Not even melee, stam, or health mutations can save them from lack of utility. If I were you, I'd save your b*tching till the end of the finals. Alright, rant over. _ _ _ Cap, I have my favorites, but dang your submission is darn impressive. You have my support, and the Moa has my vote! I'd be flabbergasted if it wins and ends up in the game. I'm looking forward to the results.

  23. dunno if this has been said but people are expecting WC to be able to upgrade to UE5 in 5 months with no delay or 'other' problems..... if they had just upgraded to ue5 WITHOUT trying to add poop then it would have been MUCH easier - christ there is MODS on unofficial running ue5 versions ..... but adding more and more stuff just complicates anything WC is trying to do as always. I play on official with epic settings - some bits turned down because they are just not needed / slow the game down too much with ZERO return - it looks beautiful - ue5 WILL look better BUT system hardware will be hammered more as will servers - IF they do not optimize the game its gonna be a mess. meh enough rambling

  29. We dont really know anything about ASA. Regarding the three big topics (balance, performance, cheating) we only got very little and very vague informations. If wildcard doesnt implement massive improvements regarding those matters there is no reason paying 60$ For a remake that has the same issues ASE had for a long long time. They promised ASA would be the best ark version but there is really not much that lets us believe in their capabilities to achieve that. They just seem to carry on business as usual, following the keep quiet and wait out the storm tactic. Not only is that extremely frustrating for their players, it is also not very promising, seeing where their business as usual has taken the game. Full of cheaters, extremely unbalanced and massive performance issues to the point where their servers just shut off.

  30. Save ASE servers. Even if you have to reduce the amount of them. I can’t fathom the fact that everything everyone has done is going to be gone. I cannot buy into your new games knowing at some point you will shut them down. What is the actual point of putting time and effort into doing anything in your games. You will just delete it.

  32. Absolutely love this creature, but im just not sure its suitable for Scorched Earth considering real Moa's definitely would not have survived in the dessert as they were forest birds in New Zealand. I guess you could argue the whole point about genetic manipulation etc?

  33. I made an account just to vote for this, Cap. I've been playing Ark from scratch again, but I've set myself the challenge to not use flyers and experience the game on the ground. Right now I'm using a Paracer and it is immersive but it's slow and clunky, and loud! Having a Moa, with a nice little hut on its back moving at high speeds sounds perfect to me. I'd like it to be able to hold a little bit more than a bed and smithy though lol I truly hope this wins.

  34. Okay all things considered, this tame sounds like it's going to be pretty freaking dope. I would have liked to have heared a bit more details on ASA this week but what we got last chrunch and the one before are worth their weight in gold, despite the entitlement of the comunity as of late.

  35. It's crazy you aren't even addressing the backlash that still exists. You guys are really trying to run yourselves into the ground, aren't you? There are so many different paths you could take regarding ASA to save face and earn back some trust, but I guess you'd rather choose bankruptcy... wonderful.

  38. Even Wildcard is struggling to quit Ark I, the addiction is just that bad. At this point, Ark II is just a dream, a nice idea, with good concepts, but it just won’t come to fruition. I can’t understand why they are bothering to release a new creature when they are going to cancel official servers on Ark Survival Evolved. Companies are going to lie, but the amount of lying and deceiving that Wildcard and Snail inc has done is amazing and not in the good way. They didn’t need to remaster all of Ark Survival Evolved to get a handle on UE5. A smarter business move would be to put Ark Survival Ascended on hold, finish Ark II and release it, then go back to finish remastering Ark Survival Evolved all while slowly phasing out the official servers. Then once Ark Survival Ascended is 110% complete they can release it in it’s entirety and be able to bank in on fan nostalgia and make even more money than they would with the current plan they have decided to go with. With the current plan, they are losing customers rapidly.

  40. I ain't beggin them for a damn thing. I'm just getting me a good seat and some hotdogs to roast as I watch them douse themselves in gasoline and prepare to light a match. Find catharsis in their inevitable failure, it's all we can do now.

  41. From what I'm able to tell based on the info in the dossier, Rhyniognatha's going to most likely not have the following features the original suggestion had for it; - It won't be able to swim underwater and fly - It won't be immune to tuso grabs, nor will it be ignored by aquatic creatures - Can't roar to temporarily immobilize creatures when not holding something - Can't carry aquatic tames - Can't carry two medium-sized creatures or one large-sized creature - Can't inflict bleed with jaws - Can't push back several enemies at once w/ its legs - Doesn't produce light, and the glue doesn't act as a substitute to sap/honey/ambergris - Possibly no motorcycle saddle

  42. Love this creature, one of my favorites without a doubt. I made this little art that I hope will help to see the possibilities of being able to bring this creature to Ark (clearly Wildcard will give us a memorable design). An effect that could help would be to share some invulnerability to sandstorms to other friendly creatures, it wouldn't have a great range or it wouldn't be as good as its own, but it would provide an advantage to use your more powerful creatures if necessary. But overall it's a pretty complete creature.

  43. As much as I love your content I feel like you should have posted this under a different account name. Its unfair when content creators post things and get a ton of votes just because they have followers, and not because they actually care about the creature vote. I think this is a cool idea btw. Maybe an enhanced jump that you can somehow aim to help steal wyvern eggs. Just a bit of flavour. Not sure if that was suggested already. Maybe also give it slight resistance to wyvern elemental damage.

  44. Common Name: Aepyornis (AKA Elephant Bird) Species: Aepyornis Maximus Group: Ground Bird (Flightless Thunderbirds) Pack/Herd/Flock Behavior: 2-3 adults per spawn, 3-4 young per spawn Time/Era: Pleistocene and Holocene Idle Temperament: Docile Temperament On Hit: Skittish Diet: Herbivore, Insectivore Feces Size: Small Tameable: Yes Breedable: Yes Rideable: Yes Mounted Combat: Yes Saddle Level: 40 for saddle bagged, 50 for multi-mount battle and 60 for small platform Creature Harvesting: Seeds, Berries, Fiber, Thatch, Chitin, Sand, Cactus Sap, Honey On Death Drops: Bird Skull Trophy, Raw Meat, Occasional Raw Prime Meat, (a new resource to make arrows) Feathers Real Facts: Extinct from Madagascar, this massive bird is much like a Giant Moa. They are currently known to be the largest thunderbird/ratite. Compared to other birds in its family it is not the tallest but stands in around 9 to 11 feet tall, only a bit shorter than the Giant Moa. In terms of weight they are estimated to weigh in at around 1,600 to 1,900lbs...not far from a ton! The Aepyornis egg is 7 times larger than an Ostritch egg and sandy brown in color,it weighs in at around 18 to 20 pounds in fossil weight! Wild Info: The nests of these birds are rather unprotected in the wild and are vulnerable to predators and humans alike. The nests are dug in sand and buried in a mound in the open dunes. While the nest is left vulnerable most of the time, if you pick up an egg with a parent near you will be attacked. Aepyornis is immune to the angering/aggro effects of rare flowers so stealing an egg may be the only way to get the birds attention in that regard. Wild nests do have eggs but they will not be fertile most of the time. This is because they lose effectiveness quickly. This means that these creatures are pretty rare and have a small population. There is a few distinctions between males and females. Unlike other birds, females are the more colorful ones and will be mostly black with a pinkish neck and head. A shade of blue under their chin and upper neck. White rings plumed atop the legs. Males will have more patterns but they will have tan, brown, auburn and some light to dark grey on their underside. This leads the females to look nicer in the wild but breeders will prefer to mutate the males to look better for show (See Images). Males are usually slightly smaller as well. Both males and females will have feathers/hairs on the top of their heads that are slicked back most of the time. They will stand up when upset in certain situations. Colors of the beak and legs usually match and are not tied to genders...those colors are usually tans, browns, greys, pinks, oranges and black. Tamed (Domesticated) Info: Tribes see Aepyornis much like they see a good work Equus but some claim that they are not meant for battle and only have use for egg farming, meat and work related chores. The Aepyornis is well known to have great speed that rivals the Gallimimus but it takes a moment to pick up to that speed much like a Dire Bear. That being said, unlike the Gallimimus it has much better handling. One bad weakness discovered is that it does not swim well and while it has above normal oxygen levels it is vulnerable if in deep water. This means if traveling to or from lands on boat, make sure they are not going to fall in the depths. Otherwise, these birds are known to be pretty hearty and have a large stamina pool. They make to be versatile mounts. There is multiple (3) saddle types for Aepyornis for different types of roles and utility. A saddle that is built light with saddle bags, great for looting or escaping threats. A saddle built for battle with a bit more armor and an undercarriage for a second person! The other saddle is a small platform saddle that is great for building protection from storms but has a negative effect on speed the heavier the build on it gets and it gives immunity to the sandstorms while equipped. They can carry about as much as a Parasaur and make decent travel/pack animals while using the lighter saddle. They have small to moderate damage in battle and they can cause a small bleed effect when using primary attacks using its beak. Its secondary attack is a hop kick that causes knock back similar to a procoptodon but be aware it hurts a bit more because of talons. These amazing creatures have other amazing abilities such as being immune to venom. This makes them great for fending off or defending against things like Titanoboa and Araneomorphus. They also have the ability to forecast storms much like a Jerboa. They are known to have a buff against insectoids and will get a small chance of chitin when harvesting plants. Berries have reduced weight when carried too. Taming: They are both passive and aggressive tames but not in the traditional ways. The method of taming the Aepyornis can be a challenge to tame. One must first attain Rare Flowers because this is the only thing they will eat from you in this process. Once they eat from you they become affected like you would by the flower and than will stand in a cartoon ostrich pose and hide in plain sight! Now you must defend the bird until its ready to eat again but be warned that if the bird gets hit...it will remove the entire effectiveness and run away. There is an alternative to the passive defense method but it will lose some levels. This method is to knock it out while it is posing but be careful because they are weak to tranq arrows in this state and must be hit in the right place for maximum torpor. A good rifle and darts are recommended. Breeding/Farming: First things first, before you decide to breed and farm these majestic birds you should be aware that they will require your full attention. Their eggs lose effectiveness rather quickly so you must act fast and be ready. You will also need to build a sandbox nest to bury the eggs in,it is required. This birds eggs can not be placed in incubators but you can have one of your Aepyornis actually sit on the nest to incubate them. An issue was discovered that these birds are a bit like a Gacha when kept. They will not be happy in large groups of their own kind and it is found that a tamed flock maxed out per territory is one male and 2 females. You will know if they are unhappy if the hairs/feathers on their head stand up. It is possible to keep more together and let them be unhappy and stressed but than they will produce low level eggs. They will also not lay non fertile eggs if unhappy either. Baby Aepyornis chicks will eat seeds until adult but will ask for Longrass or Regular Kibble on care. Other Notes: These birds are not called thunderbirds for no reason. They have a taunt (idle defense mode toggle) ability to ward off small to some medium sized threats by thumping the ground with their feet causing a dust plume and a rumbling sound like a herd of elephants.
