We know it’s been a long wait for PlayStation survivors, who have always been very vocal and supportive of the game and finally, today we can proudly announce that ARK: Survival Evolved will be launching on the Playstation Platform this December 6th! This would not have been possible without each and every one of you, Sony heard your roars and together we were able to work together for this special winter release! ARK: Survivor’s Pack will be available for purchase in both North America and Europe, this bundled offering includes both the base game, ARK: Survival Evolved, and the massive desert-themed expansion, ARK: Scorched Earth together! The ARK: Survivor’s Pack gives PS4 players an up-to-date version of ARK: Survival Evolved that includes the previously released content, plus Scorched Earth -- ARK’s first Expansion Pack. The Survivor’s Pack adds extra PS4 content including a Bionic Giganotosaurus skin plus an entire Manticore armour set for male and female characters. The bundle will be available for $54.99 USD in North American regions, or €49.99 in Europe. European survivors will also have the opportunity to pick up ARK: Survival Evolved as a standalone game for €34.99 and its Scorched Earth Expansion Pack for €19.99. Unfortunately, we were not able to release the content as two standalone items for the North American regions, until Spring 2017. PS4 ARK players will, of course, receive a constant stream of major updates packed with new dinosaurs, weapons, armour, mechanics, and lifestyle improvements, in approximate tempo with the other platforms, until the game releases as a final product in Spring 2017. I think I can speak for the entire Ark community that's currently playing, that it's completely wrong that PS4 gets EXCLUSIVE skins. The Xbox and PC community has supported this game through it's entire development. We've had to endure the game being pushed back a year. We've had to endure updates constantly failing to be released on time. I understand this is not a complete game, but that's not the point. The point is, we've been the ones that this game has been tested on. We've had to experience all of the horrible glitches that have come with this games development stages, and PS4 gets exclusive skins? I'm happy for you guys broadening your platform spectrum, but this is still not right. Xbox and PC players deserve a lot more than to see this.12 points

what about pc... i bought this game since it got released on steam... because i knew it would become something cool ! everyone who took the risk and bought a game that is in early access without even knowing if it would become something... you rewarded us with giving us a parasaur saddle skin... srsly... e parasaur saddle skin ?! nobody even tames parasaurs... at the begining i didn't mind... and then i saw this...now i feal kind of jealous and upset... at least do something to balance our feelings...9 points

First off, congrats to the PS4 community, it's great to have some fellow console survivors joining us in our struggle on ARK. I'm happy they got the game, but I like others am not happy that they're getting exclusives that we helped to provide feedback for & help make the game better from both PC & Xbox One. Let's face it, without help from the Xbox Crowd, ARK wouldn't have done half as well as it has. I'm hoping these are just timed exclusives & Wildcard will do right by the Xbox crowd and send both those items our way.9 points

So what if they had to wait for it? We, PC players, had to struggle with the bugs and lag and bugs and every single thing that went wrong for over a year and what do we get? A big fat nothing? Yes, I say nothing because a parasaur saddle skin is really nothing compared to a bionic giga skin that some people get for just waiting for the game, while others actually had to experience it and all the issues that it had/has, had to endure the lag, the bugs, the rollback, more lag, even more bugs, more bugs and more lag. Your logic seems pretty fair to me. Honestly don't see why they should be "EXCLUSIVE" for other consoles when PC has been here for the longest and I would say helped the development of the game the most so far. Why not make these bionic skins obtainable for ALL (PC, Xbox, PS4)? It's simply not fair and I can assume you that this is NOT just my opinion.8 points

Just a heads up regarding the exclusive skins guys, these are timed. They were required in order to get the release out, we have some on Xbox too. Although once the game hits Version 1.0 in Spring 2017 (Official Release) , all platforms will gain access to the skins and there won't be any exclusives, or any parity between the versions.7 points

Sony: we'll only let you release your game if you do these 50 things to appease us first. Wildcard: Um ok, that's going to P&*( off quite a lot of our playerbase. How about we do the minimum required to appease your requirements and at least avoid a huge PR storm. Also no DlC exclusivity deals. Sony: *sulks* Fine. but we don't like it. We just want the angry letters to stop coming from the people who bought our console and want to play your game. Wildcard: Us too! Lets be friends after all. Excuse me? PS4 didn't have to endure anything. All they did was whine and ask when it's going to be on PS4. Did you see anyone complaining when it'll be on xbox or PC? A rex skin for gaining all the dossiers ( a pretty difficult challenge) is nothing compared to getting the giga skin so easily. In Pc you have to win hundreds of SOTF matches, we don't even have it on Xbox! There is nothing deserving about selling out to PS4 players like this. Glad to see we both agree with the manticore armour. They're getting rewards from killing bosses simply by buying the game.4 points

@Jat Thumbs up to you, dude. I kindly asked that the skins be timed exclusives, that we get them eventually and it seems that's the case. I give you props for listening to us and coming out to say so on the forum instead of just letting what was a discussion turn into a nasty, embittered argument. I defended you guys on Scorched Earth to my friends & I'll continue to defend you so long as you publicly acknowledge your forum community and offer to make reasonable solutions when issues such as these arise. Let's stop arguing about skins & be happy for our new PS4 fellow Survivors. Once again - Congrats to the new PS4 survivors & owners, you guys are in for a heck-of-a-time.3 points

So this is concerning news. Just more of Sony dishing out tons of cash for exclusives to compete with other consoles and continue to sew the seeds of discord between players (and people say they "care" more.. yeah care more about their pocketbooks). There should NOT be "exclusives" ever. All it does its make people annoyed and causes arguments. Warframe and Destiny are two prime examples of nonsensical exclusives. Everyone should have access to everything so that it is fair. I don't care if it is just a skin and doesn't affect the game, it is still a simple fact of that I feel cheated out of content just because of some stupid competition between gaming platforms. Ruins the communities of gamers and turns people against each other. PS4 players don't "deserve" anything just cause they had to wait cuz Sony doesn't allow pre-release programs or mods (more of that "caring" for their player base). All them waiting means is that they have to deal with a MASSIVELY less amount of bugs and glitches than PC and ALOT less than XBox1. They should be happy they didn't get it while the game was so broken. Exclusives are just bad doesn't matter what they are.2 points

The desired effect? Causing even more discord between the users of different platforms? I don't see that as desired or wanted by many. Most people want some sort of harmony, especially in a forum. Discussions and disagreements are going to happen but now, it's pitting players of different consoles against each other. Take for instance "other games". Gamestop gets exclusives for in game content for purchasing the game, not a console, from their store. Walmart and target, best buy and others do the same. It is geared towards the GAME, not an entire console.2 points

Thanksgiving is upon us and today, Patch 252 brings a feast of new content to ARK: Survival Evolved! New friends will be making an appearance as four new creatures will become available to discover and tame, including the slimy Achatina, nocturnal hunter Megalosaurus, harvesting-specialist Moschops and the pheromone-spewing Pachyrhinosaurus! Achatina Limusegnis, slow and steady, that's the best way to describe the Achatina. A land mollusk standing about 2-3 ft tall, prized by local tribes, the Achatina is often captured and tamed for its glue-like secretions, which can be used as an adhesive when building various structures. It is also reverence for its uncanny ability to create an organic, incredibly strong, lightweight plates that can be shaped and then heat treated into casings for anything. Megalosaurus Noctedominus, the scary nighttime predator Megalosaurus is a beast that causes both survivors and other land creatures to fear the dark. Megalosaurus is a voracious carnivore and is often trained for use in night-time raids against other survivor camps. Due to its ferocious strength exhibited during the night, it sometimes finds itself recovering or sleeping during the day. However be warned, as it is a light sleeper and will wake with tremendous anger is disturbed during rest. Moschops Cibumutante, defines fear, as in fear-ful, since the slightest provocation sends it running. This dino's "special ability" is that it can eat just about anything and do just fine. This makes it particularly useful when domesticated and trained to eat specific materials - for example, teach it to focus on chewing a specific material, and that resource will become easier to harvest. Just remember that everything scares this breed of dino and it will flee without hesitation, so be cautious when taming it! Pachyrhinosaurus Mitisaura, an easy-to-train mount for new riders, its ability to produce a calming "scent" when in danger, helps keep survivors safe. The Pachyrhinosaurus can also reverse the effect of its scent cloud, making nearby creatures incredibly aggressive, which is sometimes useful in attacking other camps. ..but that's not all! Patch 252 also introduces a vast redesign of the original caves on The Island! Bringing them up to par visually As well as introducing more gameplay elements to acquiring those artifacts! Seasoned explorers will want to give these a whirl as it is an entirely new experience with much to be unravelled! Along with the launch of patch 252 comes even more content goodness: ARK: Turkey Trial 2! New challenge and cosmetics! Earnable Emote! (this system also enables Mods to add more Emotes to the game!) New Mechanic: Breeding Phase 3 with Random Mutations and Family Trees. VFX Indicators for Whistle Commands: Move To, Attack, and Group-Selected Units. Explorer Notes: Two new mythos Explorer Notes for each character A huge increase in server performance Whistle Ordering Groups! Create groups by class, or specific-dino! New Whistle Type: "Move To", Attack, and Group-Selected Units. Extra Option to "stream" in "Far" map sublevels, for large memory and performance gains (but reduced visual quality & draw distance). Turkey Trial 2 ARK's biomes are now host to savage, blood-thirsty mutant Super Turkeys. Players can hunt these brutal birds of prey, harvesting their wishbones and using them to craft an event-exclusive ornamental "Chieftain Headdress", or use their poultry-powered gains to summon the mighty DodoRex to do their bidding. This year's Turkey Trial will feature something all new - an event-specific "emote" for players to unlock, and will take place on all official ARK maps including Scorched Earth, The Center, and The Island! ARK: Evolution Event Weekend! To celebrate this festive period, and with the weekend coming early - as does the Evolution Event! From Thursday the 24th of November at 12PM ET until Monday the 28th of November at 12PM ET the Official ARK Network will be affected by an Evolution Event! @OGCookies Ok we've already addressed this lol but I'll repeat myself for you. They can have the reward fine, but ALL ark players should have the reward, maybe in a Christmas event or something. PS4 players didnt do anything to earn the reward any more than I did for wildcards mistakes. E Q U A L I T Y Again you make the point as cosmetics being something minor. Ok for you sure, go play your mods. For a lot of people it isnt minor, like I said many people grind endgame challenges for those sort of skins. Importantly, it isnt just the exclusivity, but the actual nature of those skins...they look so damn cool compared to a dish cloth saddle and harry potter glasses for derpy the parasaur (no offense to harry potter). And the fact that they complete a set from a very hard to get helm (noticed you couldnt address my point about the set being earned, classic ogcookies on not backing up his/her statements) that pc players cant complete, just adds insult to injury. It's not about an in game advantage, no one has said that. That doesnt change anything.1 point

As bummed as I am about not having some of the bugs fixed that are in the game that make it hard to play and not getting those skins, I am happy that it's now on PS4, I know a few friends and family that only use that and cannot wait for them to be able to play this game that I love (and hate at times). Welcome to Ark PS4 players you're in for a wild ride, both good and bad. LOL1 point

And I understand this. I agree that not everyone can afford another console or hell, even a gaming computer but to say that they have had to wait a year just to play is not valid. They had to wait where as us pc and xb1 users had to endure everything else1 point

I mean do you really believe what you are saying? Or are you just trying to represent wildcards interest in this? We dont care if they have been waiting since 1989, that has nothing to do with the rest of the ark player base, its the developers problem that they mucked up in how long it took to deliver the game to ps4, but any person with a grain of intelligence would realise how unfair this is (and to anyone about to say, life isnt fair etc etc, that line doesnt make my post invalid so stop riding wildcards rockarrot, you wont get a cookie for it). We are the reason your game is even as ready as it is, because of our feedback. If you were truly a good community member, you'd see that while getting skins is cool, it's pretty lame that the people who've risen the game up don't get thin, maybe think about the whole community instead of just ps4 ??1 point
