Swordguy Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 So the S+ Tek engrams aren't automatically unlocked for people who have done the bosses. Is this intended or unintended? If it was any other development studio I wouldn't be asking this, but this is ARK so... It's not really an issue for those of us that can go do alpha dragon on a lark if we're bored, but this seems like an accident. New Tek stuff from extinction was learnable without any pre-requisite.. was this because we paid for Extinction? Does this mean that paying Wildcard money unlocks engrams, but engrams that are added after the fact aren't unlocked because its not paid content? This is the message being sent to players if this is intentional. We already tolerate bs that no other game throws at their players, at least let players know if something is working as intended. Weiss Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 When they accidently removed the tek drake saddles and re-added them later everyone had to do the fight again, regardless of their implant showing the boss. Oieru Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 Tek structures are not unlocked, even if you did the boss. So one can't benefit from the whole update, just part of it until another boss run. It was a tongue in cheek comment, really. Its not ruined, you just need to work for the new engrams, like every single tek engram they introduced. The server thing isnt good though. That sucks for you official guys yeah they've bungled up some things for sure, basically have to play the game in dx10 mode to stop crashing and freezes. Only being unlocked with the Island bosses though, is unintended and they said two patches ago that it would be fixed "next patch" so that they can be unlocked by doing The Center or Ragnarok bosses.
