The social roundup is just the devs version of Ark Dev Tracker. I agree with you on Ced, though they should have slotted him into this position a while ago because he’s made a good impression as community lead with just a short term into the role.

i think the mana should get buffed because if it gets nurfed again then no one would even use it it was good before the last update but now its basically a mount that is fast at least keep the speed and give it some range back maybe boost the stam and plz make the giga less of a pain to raise i love the giga but 14 days is insane we should get 4x on special events and 2x raising

atlas is a joke. i was smart enough to not commit fully to that game which in my case usually includes giving feedback, actually what devs are looking for in an alpha/beta phase. to what's wrong and how to make things better. that's what i've been doing here, giving thoughts on ark, genuinely wanting to help and improve, but...

I didn't buy Atlas. Just watched the forums for a bit.

 

I really want Ark to improve. But you cannot please everyone. So many different ways to play Ark.

Don´t nerf the mana too hard, wyverns are still so much better, add another flyer to the game that specialises in stamina and speed anlong with a descentish weight stat, maybe 300-400? so preferably a smaller flyer mount. my suggestion for a species would be this weird old pteresaur: caelestiventus hanseni, pretty much a big dimorphodon . along with that region painting on dinos and it would be great if black dye worked on tames.

yeah, they somehow thought 500 member tribes were a thing. go figure. ark officials are dead and small-tribes are thriving. most content uploaders are from 6-man where things matter...whatever. i understand they though they'd get stability from large crowds but those just steamrolled everything on their path. you were very limited on what you could do in your company because people didn't know each other. they just wanted numbers. regular discord purges and spybots tracking you and your enemies. build/tame restrictions (trust issues, "company priorities") meant 75% were farmers, by the ruling of the fist. now with the new wipe they again need to discover that balance is the problem.

balance is also wc's problem. "pleasing everyone" doesn't apply to all the suggestions here. like, what's the point for a visible decay timer on pvp? all people do is offline raid because of it. who would be the losing side?...and again, wc.

i'm spent, honestly. is there even a point any more? why are wc wasting their time on this game? dragging the fanbase on for ark3?

And most importantly a medium and preferably ajustable dino gate. you should make a dino gate that cllips to wall size up to behemoth gate width and clips up to down with each-other, i picture a one high ajustable with dino door that will hook to walls and link up top to bottom so u don´t have to manually open all the doors. or just make a metric crap tone of Dino gate sizes.

Mode Suggestion - Official Solo PVP!  Haters hear me out!  I assume a large majority of the community prefer to play official PVP within tribes with a goal of becoming alpha/mega tribes.  However, I would bet there is also a good amount of the community that prefer to play solo!  And with all current official modes it makes it virtually impossible for a solo player to SURVIVE!  Official Primitive + is a simple alternative, but that mode isn't getting fair updates and seems to be "dead."  Official Small Tribes was a wonderful mode addition that has seemed to decrease the amount of servers ruled by mega tribes, but a tribe of 2-6 can still take major advantage of solo players.  Official PVE is likely a suggested alternative to official solo PVP, but it doesn't afford the thrill of retaliating against someone or raiding a base with some known good loot. 

Official Solo PVP would also give players with skill an opportunity to showcase those skills!  There are skilled players in base design/defense, taming, breeding, raiding, etc. and those skills collectively improve among solo players.  There is zero skill in joining an alpha/mega tribe and bullying smaller tribes or solo players.  There is zero skill in grieving servers with high level breed lines from alpha/mega tribes.  There is zero skill in soaking uncapped turrets (because it takes a ridiculous amount of bullet grinding to cap turrets as a solo player) and destroying a good defensive base design.  There is zero skill in raiders exploiting solo tactics (small base designs, raft bases, hidden base designs) used that are necessary to expand as a solo player.  Give solo players an opportunity to showcase their skills and enjoy the essential aspects of the game as intended for official PVP as well!

Suggested settings for Official Solo PVP:

1)  Increased Rates - at least 6x would seem appropriate so that a solo player doesn't have to spend a ridiculous amount of time expanding (3x on small tribes is adequate, but not high enough for a solo player).  

2)  2-3 Map Clusters with No Cluster Server Transfers - this would not only create a genuine sense of community (retention of players would probably be a lot higher too) but it would also prevent teamers/trolls from easily grieving servers.

3)  No Alliances - speaking of teamers, no alliances would encourage every man or woman for themselves!  Changes to the code of conduct for official solo PVP servers would also give players an opportunity to report such abuses.

4)  Tek Engrams Enabled at Lvl 100 - boss fights are literally impossible as a solo player (without exploits) so there is no chance of ascension.  However, solo players should still have the opportunity to access tek engrams with as much xp gained at lvl 100!  

I'll make this suggestion in the new format coming out tomorrow, but I was foundation wiped Sunday evening by two players (with a stego and arthropluera) on small tribes official after spending at least 12 hours from Friday to Sunday morning setting up what I believed to be a great exterior and interior defensive base with what amount of bullets I could manage to put in a dozen turrets after working to that point for a month.  So I want to quit ARK, but maybe Cedric will see this and have something to say before I officially quit! ;)

True. Many people that look at the community crunch don't follow dev tracker. I feel like it may help tone down some of the hate from ones who don't know what is going on behind the scenes. I'm just happy they are continuing to support Ark rather than taking their money and running.

I do have a some suggestions. 

1. Make all doors close automatically 

2. Add switches

3. Player and smaller creatures (make the saber relevant) have slide, roll, dodge mechanic. (The mana is the only one who has anything like this. And IMO it is the funnest creature to use)

4. Procedural dungeons 

5. NPC humans

6. Allow pve flyer speed leveling option for private servers.

7. Integrate mods: upgrade station, advanced rafts, ACM. 

8. PVE volunteer admins for official servers... PVE is best with active admins no doubt about it.

80% of console want to quit . U have no love for console players even though we paid alot of money to play your messed up game. Ark is all about Manas,meshing,quetz jam method and so on. Maybe u should add new servers to console and fix your game before you make it crumble.

LVl 105 would be better so people have to grind cause 100 can be gotten to in 2 days solo if your being lazy

You said you are working on meshing? Not nearly as much as you should be. You might have put a handful of hours into fixing it, maybe even days. It takes MONTHS to build up in official only to have someone mesh you in an hour. So however much work you have put into fixing it is incomparable to the collective loss of those effected by meshing. I submitted a ticket 2 and a half weeks ago and it still has no reply. But hey, at least you are a company that is consistantly bad at everything!

Structure & Dino Decay is shut off currently while the address the problems that 112 caused for many players, losing their character and being unable to complete their baby's, feed their dinos, and maintain their bases.  They stated that the decay was going to be off for 1 month, with a weeks warning to when it will be turned back on.  So until then, expect rendering lag to grow, and last for up to 15 days after while you wait for the abandoned bases to decay (even longer for the tech items).
