  1. people really ought to check what ini modding does to fair game. removes shadows, leaves, bushes, day/night cycle, underwater mist, xplant effects, z stun etc. i don't understand why it's allowed. witness that through most of your everyday youtubers who have disabled or set their sliders down (left) in the options which already has poor taste imo. they aren't better players when they don't even render in grass within 5meters. they be like: "...for extra performance", "laggy" i be like: "uninstall"
  2. i guess i'm one of those few who'd cherish a page-full of bug fixes and balancing over a stupid new map. hell, i would have gladly taken dino tlc's over a new map. we know you just recycle the material...it bemuses me how you haven't figured out how to save scorched earth. we've given you advise (most are poop except mine) but we still see those empty servers. and when it's time to recycle old and unused for a new "modded" map, guess what...
  3. don't even care. can hear roleplayers fapping in the background but i know they will be ridiculously unbalanced and get nerfed 5 times, at which point the same pve scrubs start the mutiny...as always. number one priority should be: BALANCE THIS SHeT GAME!!!

  5. i don't even care where the term was coined at but most pvp gamers (doesn't apply to fps genre) use it. it's not just an ark specific term you might have missed. even rust has it. point is, it refers to a LARGE group. it's hard to quantify the numbers but lets say that these zerg guys come in 20+ numbers 24/7 and can easily cap a server (limit of 70, normally) by their own if they wanted to. official pvp is like that. bigger is better...to a point...they say

  7. have you played atlas?! if you're not aware, then "wc" set the tribe limit to 500. very much brain. secondly, 6-man is specialty server. it's temporary. they asked the community what settings they would like as a "test" and overwhelming reply was small-tribes. it became way move popular than they would have ever thought.
  8. PA-THE-TIC i knew pve kids would come and highlight the stupid suggestions. "make 5x permanent", "make breeding events daily", "i want new dinos"...i may roll my eyes out of their socket.
  9. dude, i offline wipe you then. even at 6, people only do that, as there's space. a 6-man tribe can't be on alert 24/7. a 20 man tribe can, for a certain period until they drop like flies when getting tired of this "job-like" state
  10. wipe isn't fixing anything. dinos will be over-mutated again in no time. get a solution for that and then maybe ask for a clear slate...or new servers
  11. yeah, they somehow thought 500 member tribes were a thing. go figure. ark officials are dead and small-tribes are thriving. most content uploaders are from 6-man where things matter...whatever. i understand they though they'd get stability from large crowds but those just steamrolled everything on their path. you were very limited on what you could do in your company because people didn't know each other. they just wanted numbers. regular discord purges and spybots tracking you and your enemies. build/tame restrictions (trust issues, "company priorities") meant 75% were farmers, by the ruling of the fist. now with the new wipe they again need to discover that balance is the problem. balance is also wc's problem. "pleasing everyone" doesn't apply to all the suggestions here. like, what's the point for a visible decay timer on pvp? all people do is offline raid because of it. who would be the losing side?...and again, wc. i'm spent, honestly. is there even a point any more? why are wc wasting their time on this game? dragging the fanbase on for ark3?
  12. atlas is a joke. i was smart enough to not commit fully to that game which in my case usually includes giving feedback, actually what devs are looking for in an alpha/beta phase. to what's wrong and how to make things better. that's what i've been doing here, giving thoughts on ark, genuinely wanting to help and improve, but...
  13. today i level all speed and run through turrets. tomorrow i do weight-build and grapple all dinos into halt. day after that, maybe full hp and go swim in the lava. FIX YOUR STAT INCREMENTS FFS!!!

"abomination" and "exhaustion" are stupid dlc's. please delete them and fire the people behind them. and ffs, set the abomination dino transfers as standard: only native dinos can be transferred!!! keep that rule on all maps. you don't know jack-squat about balance so don't let those monstrosities out of their cage. reapers ghey, mangmas ghey, titans ghey etc...wc ghey

  16. i'm looking it from another angle. i never understood why they introduced mega-tribe servers while officials already are just that. i bet the new cluster wasn't even wc's idea. probably a suggestion from snail to get their "harassed" chinese guys a new battlefield. reddit has more info on all of it, and opinions. either way, people see the puppeteering. and i just laugh. i quit 7ish months ago
  17. yep, most pvp players don't use this forum. reddit and salt discord have much more action. can tell that by the many "what tek dino next?" meshing is pathetic in this game. only benefit that's come out of it is this classical hit:
  18. easy fix against offlining. hide decay timer and enable modded orp where structures take 3x less dmg and turrets do 3x more dmg. being forced to be online is not a solution.
  19. they have lost 1/3rd of the players since the last peak which was intro of 6-man servers.i seriously doubt we'll see an uprise with the 25-man setting when official servers already are that. it'll be a drain for tribes to manage both platforms, especially when you need different maps to be successful. i seriously don't understand the decision but i'm waiting in anticipation to see how wc fail. they've been doing that a lot lately. extinction is postponing, or by the sound of it, possibly being the last "update". honestly, we don't need new "content"! we just want numbers to be altered. balance is like diarrhea in this game and feels like i'm sharting blood for the past year.

  21. yep, all the crunches and lack of patch notes have made it easier for me to stop playing. nothing's been done. 7 months clean
  22. reminder. wc stopped doing digests because they couldn't be held responsible for the things they promised. they literally said that. someone needs to ask them when they will re-code the lvling math. the higher the max goes (possible 150 for humans after extinction) the more retarded builds people can do. like 200+ speed and avoiding all pve dangers because of it, and straight sprinting through turret fire with that speed. or spend half your points on weight and you can grapple most dinos to halt. and maybe finally cap mutations, lower the tribe size limits for main cluster, kibble tree, dino tlc's (80% are trash egg poopers with no uniqueness to them), offlining support (hide decay timer, mod orp)...
