Ocicat
So has anyone data mined or figured out what is used to tame otters? Obviously berries will probably be used, or it could be fish. Honey could also be a good alternative. Really wish I knew, I want to hit the ground running with otter taming lol
ScorchedSoul
I believe they will be omnivores?
PuffyPony
They're listed as omnivorous, but I'd bet that Fish Meat or Prime Fish Meat is going to be the best option
DomiDarko
Feed them a lvl 150 Dunkleosteus... Just kidding. Maybe feed it one of 4 eggs/kibbles that don't have any use right now: Yutyrannus egg Araneo egg-kibble Kaprosuchus egg-kibble Lymantria egg-kibble

Oldskool
Just found one on single player, in the river by green obelisk on the island. As i swam up to it, it said "drag fish to feed" It was also a lv1 female, not sure if they are similar to Jerboa's in level or that's just my easy single player settings. But this probably means they are breed able.
Vrallox
I'm betting the taming method will be otter ridiculous.

Trying to tame ducks on PvE is terrible since Itchys don't work most of the time, at least I can't get them to work lol
Gelantious
Tamed a level 10 on my unoffical server. Killed a coel and dragged it with me to the otter, Press E to feed and voila. Tamed. Now I dunno if higher level ones will need more fish or if it's like the Ovis and just one of any size will be enough.
DarthaNyan
so basically the same method as with ducks (hespeornis)...

DomiDarko
Wow... This looks even more annoying than the Hesperornis-taming...
Jrminot
Yup, same as hesperonis. I tried using the ichtyornis to hunt the fish and then feeding them to the otter. Friend tamed a couple, said it was much easier than the hesperonis. I had issues feeding them big fish though. The fish was so big I couldn't get through it to target the otter and feed it. You keep letting go instead of taming it, you have to move constantly while spamming e so that the fish drags behind you

I was using tek jetpack so the feed option appeared before the fish came back in front of me
