I feel the same way as the OP, and was disappointed to hear that this change will apply also to PvE. Surely it's only a matter of time before the legacy servers shut down due to low population. Cross-ARK trading will also dry up on legacy servers, which is something I have been working towards via months of taming/breeding. A small part of me is tempted by a fresh start on a new server but a bigger part of me is put off by having to rebuild and lose 2 years (over 6k hours) of taming/breeding/building/trading. I'm just not sure atm whether or not to stop playing now and cut my losses or wait for the inevitable decline of the PvE legacy cluster.
