  1. Wildcard really dropped the ball by not rebooting offical PvE to be drastically different. The fact that you can't get rid of any other players structures really ruins the gameplay. I don't understand why wildcard didn't do anything to resolve the way toxic players destroy public servers with building spam...

  2. It lowers game/server performance and makes people to overextend their bases to keep new/breeding/unnecessary dinos. And ofcourse it affects comfort of play we use to have.

  3. PVP don't need Cryopods it will make their game better. PVE with no Cryopods the severs will hit the tame limits in two weeks no matter how high the Sever limit is. They really should, like the first day in ARK, separate the two modes like player speed nerf, flyer nerf, etc! PVE and PVP are two different games! What do you think about the no Cryopod issue?

  4. Hi guys, thanks a lot for sharing this Arkolucious for myself, i kept crashing, sometimes not crashing for 2 hours, sometimes crashing each time i opened and closed storage inventory and now, it seems much better, 2 days i play without any crash i made many tests with your advices and what solved my issue is to disable water and foliage interaction playing in high settings for most things, I7-9700K / rtx3080 / 32GB DDR4 everything is up to date Happy exploration all

  5. 99% of households own computers, so clearly 99% of all ARK players are on PC, right ..... RIGHT.....?

  6. It's a two-part issue. There's the first issue you went over then there's the main issue: The PC crowd are notorious for rampant cheating. ASE ended nearly unplayable due to the overwhelming number of cheaters ruining the game for PVP. Most hoped that would change in ASA but it appears to be the same or worse at the moment.

  7. Okay yeah so your initial comment then was misleading. I already knew you could make oviraptors collect wild eggs, most notable of this is their ability to steal wyvern eggs without getting aggro (likely a glitch). I didn’t know it was automatic, and thought u had to whistle attack target on the egg for them to do it so there’s something new for me. However ASA has now enabled them to auto collect tamed dropped eggs too, which despite being something they easily could have enabled on ASE, doesn’t subtract the fact that it’s been improved on with ASA. It was likely something they didn’t want to add out of balancing but decided that with the remaster, QoL should come first. On the dung beetles, I’ve never seen or heard of that happening and my research doesn’t support it. My only hypothesis are, as you suggested, a possible glitch with them picking up the feces (or potentially supposed to be but in most cases actually not [hence fixed in ASA]) or, and forgive my skepticism, the more likely scenario in my head if you and your friend simply forgetting that you gave it to them/someone else loading in while you had it on multiplayer and putting it in

  10. This is ARK telling you that spending over 12 hrs a day every day is not healthy.

  11. Unfortunately ASA uses a completely different file storage and format. I've tried investigating to see if I could spot any similarities that I could pick up on but with no real success. I will keep trying but I'm actually enjoying playing the game at the moment so haven't put much more time into it yet.

  12. That's a pretty good answer, thanks. I'll address this at the end. Now that you've described it, that's some reasonably solid reasoning. I mean, we still have to assume that WC has a reason for the order they chose the platforms for release, but your logic behind the idea that PS will be a majority audience is easy to understand. Mind you, that doesn't mean it will be the majority audience at the the time of release, but it is a pretty good explanation for why, over time, the audience for ARK will be larger on PS than in XBox. So in case you think your reasoning is falling on deaf ears, it's not, I get it. In return I'd ask you to consider that your reasoning for the long term audience may or may not have any applicability to the size of the audience at the time of release. Beyond this, there might be reasons beyond the question of audience size that would lead WC to chose XBox first. My suspicion (and it's only a suspicion because I don't have personal experience with releasing a game on any of these platforms) is that it's because XBox is a platform that's closer to Steam than PS is on the back end or there is some issue between WC and Sony/PS that needs to be resolved and WC doesn't want to stop their rollout while they wait for that issue to be resolved. Even if the PS would have a larger audience on the day of release it's an over simplification to think that this simple numerical comparison is enough to prioritize one platform over the other. And, by the way, none of this is intended to tell you that you shouldn't be frustrated or impatient. I get that part, we're all human and you want the game to come to your chosen platform sooner than later. No one can argue with that feeling. Agreed. If you had removed the second paragraph from your OP, "Roughly 65% of the...", then you probably would not have gotten any push back on your posts. The actual questions were all pretty normal and I'm sure tons of PS players have the same questions. Agreed, but unfortunately that's what happens when people use unsupported statistics as one of the premises of their argument. It's perfectly legit to question someone's argument if they base that argument on bad ideas or bad numbers. It's obvious you weren't trying to be disingenuous, but you have to remember that 83.8429% of statistics are just made up by people because they think it makes their argument look better. While Joe's first response to you was perhaps overly blunt, he made a very valid point that you were using an unsupported statistic, and that there are good reasons why that unsupported statistic might be wrong. You responded to that by saying, "Let me dumb it down..." which had two flaws: 1) it didn't improve the tone of the conversation and 2) it demonstrated that you missed the point of Joe's response. It's an old, old truth of debate that if you're going to be snarky you'd better be sure that you're right before you do it. In this case you escalated the snark and missed the point. So, in the interest of trying to improve the tone of the conversation - your complaints and questions were perfectly legitimate, regardless of any discussions about statistics. Hopefully WC will provide the answers that you and other PS owners are looking for. Fingers crossed for you.

  16. That is not fair for those of us on PS, I play ark for years in Xbox, I bought the ps5 , now whe have to wait even longer🤬😡. They should put it halve price or something. If they don’t do something for ps for making us wait. I won’t buy ark ………🖕

  17. I think you should take any justification they provide with a huge and healthy dose of scepticism, given their lack of honestly historically. I think at least half of the player base do single player. Most Steam Users(and content creators) seem to be sticking to single player till the servers get sorted in a few months really. Being early access, they could have simply disabled the MP function and launch the single player....unless, the actual issue lies with stability and performance with the game being so bad that was virtually unplayable during cert. The PC specs requiring 32-64 RAM while consoles barely have 16 is quite the red flag for me....

  18. How can you put this on Sony? You know the requirements for a game on their platform this isn’t your first time dealing with them so don’t try passing this off as their issue. If it’s a mod issue try using Bethesda techniques as fallout 4 and skyrym both have mods available. Try being truthful with your community and upfront with the details and quit trying to BS us with vague statements. You say you have to negotiate with Sony? As a person who works contracting this should have been done months ago.

  19. It's greed but business snail is awful with there track record not to mention it's all out there for everyone to see all anyone has to do is just look it up. I do feel bad to a point for WC because this game is their passion, but the lack of them building consumer trust is awful. Now the rough pill to swallow WC knew what state their product was in when announced for PC at an xbox event mind you but they choose to release the game in its state to PC and broken promises to console. Profits over consumer. Me personally I'll buy ASA regardless because I love what they created but the way they treat their customers is just the way they are as a company.

  20. As far as i can see no one is winning with this situation. PC players are experiencing so many crashes, playing a game that is massively untested, and this is just in single player let alone online. So there is no way Sony were going to allow a broken game to be released as it has been on PC. I can't comment on Xbox as I have has PS products since the PS1 but Sony have always been very strict to unsure a game actually works somewhat. WIldcard should of known this, No one forced them to say they would all be released at the same time. They put this on themselves. After the Nitrado loan they could of done themselves a favour and said that it was unlikely that all platforms would be released the same time knowing a huge deadline loomed and that it was unlikely it would pass cert on console. This all falls on Snail games and Wildcard management who run about like headless dodo's because they can't manage a game launch or their money. Launching a trailer on Xbox partners thing, then announcing it will be released on steam later that day and that consoles will be delayed is a perfect example of headless dodo's, Surely info should be reported by one means first, like a hub, like official website or survivetheark.com then filters down through x (twitter), discord etc Unfortunately the result is the the amazing art/design team at Wildcard who have not only created an amazing trailer but a great graphics upgrade from ASE but the community is presented with a huge Sh*t sandwich, regardless of platform, which we are all having to bite.

  21. If you read the crunch it says these will be NEW servers. Everyone will start on those at same time. There are no transfers between servers on current PC. Everyone on there will have a brand new char. There are also console only servers.

  22. Apart from the performance upgrades, which you are already working on, it would be great if you could raise the structure and taming limit soon... To say that you have improved the performance of bases, but at the expense of the size of the base, somehow feels wrong. In addition, the taming limit is also an imposition and a catastrophe, especially for breeders. I know it probably can't be increased until the servers and clients are running better, but it would at least be nice to know if there are plans to increase it or not.

  26. I wish they actually specified when the next vote will be. They claim they're pausing the votes because of stress from submitters like me, and yet its causing some of us more stress worrying about when the next vote will actually be. I guess we just have to guess hehe.

  27. the server 5449 crashed a long time ago 8h, I think it must have crashed during 1h I stayed only 15 mins because it was 2h in the morning at home and I could afford to stay longer. The piranha are glitched with the axe and we are forced to cut them with the spear. Impossible to place the forges and workshops as we want we are forced to place it vertically in the middle of the foundation or against the wall it looks ugly, I am disgusted as a builder. And all that is not to mention the badly reptared hits on the parasaur or the badly screwed leaves because it managed to touch half of them. Ah and also the bullpoop of having completely removed the marking on the map, we can neither indicate on the map where is our base, nor mark a landmark on a place or resources discovered or a dino that we saw and like the tame 5 mins later.

  28. Interesting comparisons, I couldn't have said it better myself. Would the price be too high for a baggy game? Nobody said it would be pretty, beautiful and wonderful. I was not impressed with this new candy packaging, it was known that Premiere ASA would never come out as expected. As mentioned, Sony certification always takes time, so you should report it in advance for certification to be published on time. (There are other multiplatform games on PS, where updates are available equally for everyone) only problems with the ASA code extend the SONY certification time. In fact, we have the same chocolate in the ASA packaging, but many of you have already abandoned us and we do not intend to return to the game. And I'll wait for the new chocolate when it's free. I'll just add it to the collection. For me, starting another annoying game with the same bugs (and they are also updated to UE5) is not an option. WC/SG treated ASE XBOX and PS players like rags. He had to release what he had for the PC even with errors to meet certain deadlines. The rest will remain the same, nothing will change and only because it's WC/SG and their unreliability. They have never lived up to their promises and will continue to do so. And my forum account should probably be deleted. There's nothing left for us here. ARK died for me forever, despite the time I devoted to the game with my wife. There is no point in being a member of this WC/SG community anymore, they have simply destroyed it. That's it. P.S. GP , can you delete my account from this forum? I didn't find this option on the profile.
