  1. Well, they have effectively delayed ARK2 for like 4yrs so what's a one year delay for ASA from their perspective, right? Then again, they did switch over the release to 'early access' meaning they could theoretically pump out a buggy mess running at 15fps, sure. However, given Ark is the only money maker in the portfolio, I'm not sure they'd risk shipping it as an unplayable mess just to hit the holiday window alongside other major heavy hitters. In fact, that's partly why I can't see an October release given the heavy hitters that will start releasing around that time. A Feb-August release is less cluttered and more likely to have a semi stable game ready by then. They might sugar coat the pill for a longer delay saying SE will again be part of the launch. Alas, this is all off topic now I guess Edit: One small note on the non-story maps release schedule. You kinda have to think at the map assets in each one and from what DLC Map they borrow them from. Eg, Ragnarok can't release until SE is out or later ones can't release until Aberration is out regardless of the order in which they do the creature voting.

  2. Because they are. Why else would they exist? If more players choose to not use them and otherwise run (cheat/boost/moderate) a server themselves, that's on them. They are also called "Official" for a reason. There is no getting around that one, it's simply preference. Right or wrong, regardless, it's the vanilla/base way the game was meant to be played by the devs. Doesn't matter if more players decided to run it their own way. Us (official players) are mostly upset that our playstyle, freedom, and community is being taken away from us harshly. None of that is being taken from you on Unofficial. We also should not have to be forced to change to your playstyle. Unofficial is nowhere near remotely comparable to the freedom and vast *public* community that is Official. There are even FB groups with over 20,000 players that can trade/play with each other simply by transferring to their server freely via obelisk/drop/transmitter. I also have bad social anxiety, and prefer a public open server than some cluster where I'd have to know everyone and/or befriend them. Or anything social if I didn't want to. Heck, even fear that it could get shut down (like Official is doing!), or a Mod goes on the fritz and ruins your day like PvP. No thanks. (Not to mention most of my friends can not even play ASA as they do not have the new system, and neither can the rest of their family/children. Paying for a server is also out of the question, and not fair if they could just leave a few Official Servers running like they did with Legacy.) If you don't care, or if it doesn't apply to you, kindly move along. Or help us fight to keep Official alive, if even a small quantity of servers. Thank you.

  3. We already know you can vote with your dollars if you want to. But that still does not excuse what they're trying to do and it still should be talked about. It's not just a simple or easy thing to be quiet about. If people within the ark community let them get away with this we are going to have a big problem, other gaming communities are watching what they're doing, haven't commented but they're watching what players ( the Ark community)is going to do. So yes I will keep stating what's going to happen. We should be coming together as a whole Community to actually not have them do this. But we are so divided and being negative towards each other.😔 The hostility that I've had to deal with since starting up speaking in the forms has been very sad. So you have the people who want to switch over to Asa. Okay, but you should not keep commenting negative comments on the people who are showing their distaste for what wild card / snail games is doing. People have a right to their opinions. That might be how you feel but people who have invested in their characters time and to selectively bred their animals to a certain level of stats think otherwise. Me for instance. And why would you want to do what you've spent years doing all over again. Some people like me invested in one character. I don't want to have to keep investing in more characters. I kept doing that when I was on unofficial servers it was a headache. I couldn't keep one character.not one. For example I had servers closed down, people couldn't keep up the upkeep of their server they shut down or you had servers where even on PVE they would constantly harass you build around you etc. I did not get that on official servers. From being on official servers for the last two years I've not seen any hackers. I have not seen any harassment etc. As I said before they can go to the route of what they originally said they can have our characters transfer over. We do not need a remastered version of a game we already have. The have not worked out any of the problems of the original game. Wild card/snail games has not shown anything that would warrant any problems . They are saying it would take time and money to transfer people's characters and everything from one game to another which is bogus because other game developers are able to do this. They are worth over a billion dollars. They're not a small DEV company. They don't want to put really any time or money into doing this transfer after stating they would. Snail games basically is coming to our community for revenue nothing else. Which they should not be doing. They are not really caring about what they're doing to the ark player community.

  4. that's who writes the Community Crounch :D:D ... ehhhhhh, you like to win easy !?! mhuhahahah PS: they have to do it by Christmas... they won't lose that favorable period of earnings, Snail Games will force their hand... rather they will give us half the Island mhuhahahahahaha 😀

  5. They said it on March 31 it has been 18 Community crutch and no updates on asa . I have a Hypothesis if they show anything about Asa they are scared it will Discourage ppl and turn them feom buying the game . So they are not going to show anything till its out and ppl have wasted there money on it

  6. It's amazing to me how they can get these concepts "done" so fast yet asa has been pushed back constantly. If you ask me, they should FINISH the game they have already promised and THEN start this stuff. Plus, the final voting platform is unfair and hack possible, the true winners are NEVER chosen because votes can be cast by ANYONE as many times as they have ip's. I had a buddy use different phones to vote the exact same multiple times. Use the forum system. Least then they have to work for the vote and make new profiles. This is a joke and a spit in our faces. Don't get me wrong I love the concept of community interest and addition but.... Finish what you started first. Put all the people who would be doing this ONE TAME and put them on the ENTIRE game team so it can be DONE and happy playing the game we all want to love so much (minus the million bugs please). This is like decorating a house with no walls.... smh

  7. time to release source code of ASE on github, both server and client and let people fix it. some examples: - inventory overflows (many) issues - server crashing when players transfer a lot of stuff (don't have an exact number, safe amount of stuff should be a bit more than 150 items as far I noted).. inventory overflow related too probably. - black screen issues after ascension - mission minion spawning not only inside bases and structures but also and most of times undeground/undermesh - broken teleports destination spawns when there are a good amount of structures in the near (beam me up scotty bug) - skiff out of sync (like managarmr bug) after bad teleport - players stuck between ceilings issues on base loading - players stuck in foundations or ceilings on char spawns - multiple audio clipping and distortion issues (eg: dragon fight, tek doors/gates/teleport sounds) - AI tamed managarms getting out of sync issues - previous server not showing in terminal/server list without reconnecting - harvesting issues on multiple dinos species on medium-high ping. - Deactivated Tek Bridges still have bridge collision as they were active after server restart. - stryder bed chamber out of sync when walking on - no warning when eating fertilised water creature eggs - invisible trees collisions after guardian fights - tone mapping issues after guardian fights - missing key mapping on some dinos depending by input device (eg: dinopitechus unclimb on keyboard) - broken texts on signs for non western latin languages - broken chat filtering (no, it's not about only of bad and good words lists, it's broken since goodwords list doesn't apply properly) - bucket elements dereference issues on nvidia physx 3.4 - ocean platform foundation/ground check broken for many type of structures - multiple dermis issues - broken achievements on EGS - 32 bit epoch datetime for arkdata and relative overflow on upload limits - base decay issues freezing the servers - giga:carcharo spawn proportion issues 0.2:1 rates are just bad - film grain not working at all - bad resolution upscale method and not defaulting to 100% - mismatching of some ini setting entries names between non-dedicated and dedicated servers - Water Reservoir(s) not working with beer barrels - many d3d 11 draw calls optimizations missing opportunities (eg: grouping/bindings command buffers) - removing stadia bits and other dead code paths from both client and servers - no proper saves backup system for local/host games - adding a damn proper unicode font for chat and text in general to get rid off of squares - asset compressions missing opportunities (there are gazillion of multi-thread lightweight algorithms suitable for real time games without performance penalties that cut by 50% space usage and speed up loadings.. and without changing assets bits and I/O interface for mods) Also fixing ASE may help on better code porting in ASA.

  8. Art once again done by the amazingly talented Riskybiscuits Species: Shastasaurus Sikanniensis Time: Middle-Late Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Passive Wild The Shastasaurus is one of the largest ocean dwellers I have ever witnessed on any of the Arks rivalling the Leedsycthis in terms of sheer mass and being too large for even the mighty tusotuthis to grab a hold of. However, despite its titanic size it is incredibly passive mostly ignoring all other creatures in its vicinity as very few are a threat to it with it only really focusing on smaller schools of fish which it feeds on. If a threat does arrive though such as a group of Mosasaurs or a Leedsycthis it has the special ability of echolocation and is able to detect the threat coming from a mile away. Not just that but it’s echolocation is so powerful that it can charge a large sonic blast with it being able to disorient nearly any hostile allowing the creature to make a quick getaway. Also, much like it’s close relative the ichthyosaurus it is a very social animal living in a tight family unit however due to the sheer size of the Shasta's appetite each member requires an enormous quantity of food and as a result the family units must separate to try and find food on their own to avoid competing for food sources. Sadly, due to the family units splitting up to feed many shastas will never reunite with them and will become incredibly isolated as a result. Domesticated As most Shastasaurus have become isolated and alone due to separating from their families all it requires to domesticate one is simple companionship the best way I have found to do this is with it’s close relative the Ichthyosaurus simply bring a group of them over and the 2 species will begin to interact with the Shastasaurus eventually joining the group and therefore your tribe. Once tamed the Shastasaurus makes for an incredible beast of burden able to carry an insane amount of weight due to this a lot of survivors have constructed a special saddle on the back of the creature this saddle is essentially a submarine as anyone inside it is able to breath and survive the intense pressure of the deep ocean. The saddle also comes equipped with Torpedoes that are essential for any underwater combat as they deal heavy explosive damage. And that’s not even the best part of the saddle when the shastasaurus surfaces above the water the saddle will transform and essentially turn the Shastasaurus into a whaling ship coming equipped with Harpoon launchers these harpoons come equipped with Metal wiring that is attached to each harpoon once fired at a creature it prevents them from moving allowing survivors to easily catch creatures. Abilities and features ·When underwater Saddle acts as a submarine survivors will not lose oxygen and will be able to build in it ·Saddle fires torpedoes these are underwater specific projectiles that deal heavy explosive damage upon impact and they can only be crafted in the inventory of the Shasta (similar to the Equus) ·When the Shasta surfaces the saddle transforms into a whaling ship where the submarine dome disappears and opens up to reveal Harpoon guns these guns are manned turrets that come equipped with metal wiring attached to each harpoon and when fired at an enemy creature it prevents them from moving and essentially binds them this can also be done on enemy players and land creatures and if a creature is small enough you are able to reel them in closer even larger creatures can be reeled in if enough Harpoon guns are fired on it. However the guns have their weaknesses to compensate firstly a creature or enemy player can break out of the Harpoon if they struggle enough (similar to the desmodus or Bloodstalker) and the Harpoon turrets have a durability meter and after a while will require repairs ·Saddle also comes equipped with a Submarine scope allowing you to view the surface of the water while submerged it also acts as a magnifying glass and shows the current health and torpidity of a creature ·Cannot be grabbed by a Tuso due to it’s sheer size ·Has echolocation this essentially gives the Shasta a built in submarine radar allowing it to detect any hostile creatures or players in the immediate area and Highlights everything nearby ·Can charge up a sonic blast with it’s echolocation when fired it disorients enemies essentially acting as a flashbang grenade and enabling the shasta to make an escape if the fight looks to be unwinnable this blast also can disable tek structures and gear including tek underwater bases ·Is very efficient at gathering oil from underwater oil veins and gathers Black pearls effectively from eurypterids and other creatures that drop them ·Saddle is similar to the andrewsarchus saddle as it doesn't require anything to power it and will produce oxygen in the submarine mode for no cost ·Shastasaurus can use it's massive tail to create large whirlpools in the water these can trap enemies in them for a short period of time and disorient them ·Can use a type of suction feeding to suck smaller creatures into it's beak and grip hold of them ·If swarmed the shasta can fire off a sonar pulse this will be a concussive explosion of sound coming off the shasta that will push all enemies back when the shasta is being swarmed ·Can only be tamed by bringing a bunch of tamed Ichthyosaurus or other Shastasaurus and putting them on wandering near it this will cause the wild shasta to interact with those tames and slowly begin to integrate into your tribe however if one of it's companions or the shasta itself is hurt the taming effectiveness will decrease and if one of them is killed the shasta will no longer be tameable and If the player attacks one of the shasta's companions or the shasta itself the whole group will become hostile to the player

  9. So, the Quetzal is a pretty useful creature in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is a flyer that can carry much more weight than other flyers and can also be equipped with a platform saddle. However, when ARK 2 comes it would be cool to see some different features that make it more realistic and exciting. Ground Hunter. Quetzalcoatlus was, in reality, a powerful hunter on the ground. Evidence suggests that it and other azhdarchids (such as Hatzegopteryx and Arambourgiania) used powerful legs to run along the ground and grab prey with its beak. Other pterosaurs hunted fish by grabbing them out of the water. In ARK 2 we should have a Quetzal that is better equipped for running on the ground. It could be faster, and its flight could be used for quick travelling or escapes. Impale. Following from above, perhaps the ARK 2 Quetzal should be able to impale creatures while on the ground. This could work on smaller creatures. The creature would be grappled and would slowly take damage as though from bleed. Saddle. This Quetzal would still have a platform saddle, allowing survivors to build structures on it. However, due to the Quetzal's shape, the platform saddle would tilt backward when the Quetzal in landed. Other ideas? 🔽

  10. WILD When I first discovered this ginormous jellyfish deep in one of the countless underwater caves, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Surrounded by smaller jellyfish this majestic creature shined with such brightness and beauty I almost fell in a trance. Once you take a closer look however, you can discover the metal ore, black pearls and even element crystals growing inside of it. If you are in the position to take one of these giants out, you will be rewarded with plenty resources, outstanding gear and some of the best blue prints to ever be discovered. However, this mission tends to be a lot harder than one could even imagine. Dealing with the electrifying cnidaria and the poisonous medusae is not an easy task but that is not where the battle ends since you are deep in the ocean and must defend your new found loot from anything that may would also like a split. TAMED Once tamed you can use your new found friend as a tool for long ocean discoveries. With unlimited oxygen, a handy boost, a radar for all surrounding threats and poison missiles, nobody should be able to challenge you. If anyone or anything does land a hit from up close, your poison will instantly come into play and help you get out of any sticky situation. The interior can be used a place to build any necessities for a long underwater trip or as a place to enjoy the deep ocean lights. Details When creating this concept the main idea was to help make the deep ocean world on the center feel more lively. We soon realized a new broken mosa killer wouldn’t really change much so we went and looked for different ways. Our favorite thought was to create raid like encounters with huge loot drops as an incentive to discover the deep depths since there is sadly no real reason to visit the beautiful water caves at the moment. However we also want you to enjoy the creature once you tamed it so we went back to the drawing board. Finally we decided to go with a huge jellyfish. So lets start with the wild one. I know nobody really likes the current jellyfish in the game but let me convince you that this one is different. First of all this much bigger cousin of the Cnidaria is not aggressive. But how can this thing be like a raid then? Easy. We can use the already existing ones to create a swarm like mechanic with the medusae in the middle as the queen. Once killed you can harvest the resources inside the jellyfish. However the big boi isn’t completely defenseless on his own. If you attack him in melee range you will get poisoned. The quantity and quality of loot depend on the level of the creature ranging from metal and flak armor to element and top of the notch blueprints. We hope this could be like a hot spot for amazing underwater fights in pvp while the players try to defend their new found loot. But how does the tamed ones affect the ocean life? Well, we tried really hard to create an amazing experience for pvp and pve players. Obviously for pvp players this will act as a mobile war machine with range attacks, a radar like the para offers, a lot of health and just generally it can act like an underwater station to prepare for raids since you build a small base inside your tame. For pve players the base aspect will probably be even more important. The “head” of the jellyfish is translucent so you can enjoy the beauty of underwater lights while not running the risk of drowning or getting attacked by vicious plesios. Every player can just build their nice little base and go on underwater adventures. Obviously it can spawn in different colors that all have their own amazing glow. We also thought about a tek saddle with new advanced features for both base building for pve and new Weapon options for pvp but this is a topic for another day Taming We would be happy to hear what you think about how to create the best possible taming experience. We thought baout the taming part a lot but we couldn't find something we liked so we would like to hear what you think about this. Building Inside the Essexella: The "floor" of the inner build space of the giant Jellyfish is relatively flat & can be built on without the need of foundations altough you theoraticly can place foundations & pillars and every other structure that fits the inner space of the Essexella the base floor of the Build space counts as a nfoudation and can be used to palce things like beds, Generators, smithys and nearly all other structures directly on the floor. The Size of the inner build space will be about 5x5 underwater Tek Compartments. Tek Saddle concept in the comments due to max file size! Bonus Concept Art: *This Post includes AI Generated Footage

  15. OP, here is a simple trick to make spotting desired mutations easier - simply name your breeders after their key stats. When you have a rex named 44 M showing up as the father, it is obvious that you are looking for a 46 melee egg. Now, it would be really nice to have a way of checking stat points on tames directly, especially when you are starting a breeding project. Right now without mods you either have to use external calculators (like Ark Smart Breeder) or mate creatures a bunch and check eggs to work out the stats of your initial wild tames. (Well, single player you can use yellow admin gun, IIRC). Maybe stat checking could be added to the magnifying glass, or a new item (microscope perhaps?) could be added.

  16. Dude I never said your post was hostile. Once again obviously you didn't look at what I said I said and my experiences on Ark survival.com, have been met with hostility, Passive aggressiveness etc. You did reply to my comment above first, that is why I quoted you in my second post. I didn't say anything but was commenting on the forum about what they're doing and what will happen if we let them get away with it. Separate groups within a certain area is called a community. Everybody is unique. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But you saying that I wanted hugs and affirmations is a form of passive aggressiveness. You do not see any of that in my message to you. That's great you were able to find a unofficial server that works for (you). My experience was not fortunate. It's why I moved to official servers. And yes putting as I said before money time and effort into a game to some players means a lot like (me). And we are all playing the same game so we are within the ark community.

I don't see why everyone on the submissions forum doesn't simply just generate AI images, to hell with these artists on here, why pay them when we can just get our submission images generated for free, supporting artists is absolutely nonsense, in fact let's just go so far as stating nothing at all so that people will look at it and believe we did them as a full on 4 day long strenuous work of art! /s

  24. All art made by me! My creature is the Thoracopterus , a giant flying fish. The creature itself in real life wasn't much bigger than a modern flying fish, but this is ark, and the Rhyniognatha is a thing. It is big enough to ride, say Sarco length, and design wise if you have seen avatar 2 with the giant flying fish that they ride, it's lightly (but not entirely) inspired by them. Also, unlike literally every other creature submission, mine is not a 'giga counter but_________' it is unique and has a purpose. Abilities: - It can skim across the top of the water just like real life flying fish, tip of the tail in the water, top half out of water - You can use weaponry on it without having to enter first person mode, as long as you're not underwater - it can launch itself extremely high out of the water into a flight/ glide mix, gliding through the air but also flapping it's 'wings' occasionally to travel up - it can breathe oxygen indefinitely, but requires water every now and then to keep it hydrated, but the hydration does slowly go down, so luckily to now not have to stay near water at all times it has 8 water canteen slots on it's saddle, which fill up it's water meter when it's low, and can be manually refilled by hand, or all automatically refill upon contact with water, as well as it's water meter. - it can 'run' on land at about the speed of a parasaur, if not slower, which is uncanny because it moves on land by sort of shuffling and jumping forward, but to get airborne again it simply just does a leap into the sky and continues gliding - like the griffin, it has a divebomb/ swoop it can do while gliding, and if you dive into deep enough water from a high enough height it can stun nearby creatures - it can shoot water out of it's mouth like some species of fish, to dismount players off birds up to up to the size of an argy, stunning it if it is wild, at the cost of either being in water or using one of it's eight water pouches - it's 'wings' glow, and can produce a glowing dye that is by default white, but when mixed with any other dye becomes a glowing version of that color - immune to jellyfish/ eel shocks - counter shaded. not really an ability, just an adaptation that ocean predators often have for camouflage - like a dolphin, it can echolocate, highlighting all creatures in the area similar to the desmodus, but with further range underwater )because sound travels farther underwater) - weight reduction on raw fish meat by 75%, silica pearls by 25% all dyes by 50% hide and chitin and keratin by 50% angler gel by 25% and metal by 75% - it is not aggro'd by any sea creatures, excluding mosas and plesis So there you go. A midgame mount, good for pve & pvp, that isn't insanely overpowered, relatively fast, actually unique, so it's good for travel and would probably be used regardless of where you are in the game. Also it doesn't fit the description of 'just give _______ a tlc! This is it without any saddles This is the tek saddle (currently updating it to look closer to the new head model) Tek additional abilities: -A charged super bite attack (like shadowmane) -Legs to run mush faster on land, no longer having to lean on it's wings, now at the speed of a deinonychus -A jet to fly significantly faster in the air, and underwater -top and belly armour to take reduced damage on the top and belly, but still taking damage as normal from it's side Dossier- wild Something seems amiss with this creature. It's not just the size or the eerie uncanniness; it's the unsettling feeling that it simply shouldn't be. The anomalies are too pronounced to ignore; one could say the evidence points to genetic manipulation, but by whom and for what purpose, I cannot say. The Thoracopterus, as I've come to call it, defies conventional classification, blurring the lines between land, air, and water with an unsettling ease. This beast possesses an ability akin to that of dolphins, using echolocation to sense and locate anything within its vicinity. A sensory prowess usually reserved for marine life, yet this creature carries it with an unsettling confidence. But the strangeness does not end there. The Thoracopterus is no mere fish, for it can venture onto land and relentlessly pursue its prey. Escaping its pursuit is a futile endeavor; cliffs and parachutes offer no refuge, as it can pursue its quarry in the air with relentless determination. The creature's enigmatic intelligence adds to its eerie nature. It seems to comprehend danger, avoiding projectiles with an unsettling, almost preternatural awareness. Attempting to ward it off may prove only momentarily effective, for once it locks onto a target, it will persist until either the prey or itself meets its end. Moreover, the Thoracopterus possesses an astonishing leaping ability, scaling heights that defy reason, rendering the advantage of higher ground obsolete. Dossier- Domesticated tamed I stand astounded by the audacity of those who dare to tame such an enigmatic beast. The taming process, an underwater rodeo of sorts, is a perilous endeavor where merely holding on is a feat unto itself, given the Thoracopterus' unparalleled speed. Yet, for those intrepid souls who triumph in this endeavor, they will find themselves blessed with the ultimate traveling companion. Tamed, the Thoracopterus showcases its multifaceted nature, becoming an unparalleled asset in both PvE and PvP scenarios. A master of the aquatic realm, it navigates the waters with astonishing speed, becoming a swift and reliable underwater steed for any survivor seeking rapid aquatic exploration. But it doesn't end there. On land, the Thoracopterus runs with an almost inexplicable grace, defying expectations with its ability to move on terra firma. This incredible agility allows it to cover ground like a blur, making it an ideal choice for scouting missions and daring escapes from adversaries. The creature's flight capability elevates its prowess even further. In the face of a daunting confrontation with a formidable player and their powerful dinos, the Thoracopterus offers a unique advantage. With your weapons drawn and securely positioned on its back, you can unleash a torrent of firepower upon your foes, all while maintaining a stable third-person view. Yet, when a swift retreat becomes the need of the hour, the Thoracopterus becomes the ultimate escape artist. Its leaping ability propels it to unimaginable heights, from where it can gracefully glide away, leaving pursuers far below in awe and wonder. Adding to its mystique, this extraordinary creature produces a peculiar glowing dye, which, when mixed with any regular dye, transforms the colours into an eerie luminescence. The resulting spectacle can only be described as otherworldly, adding a touch of the fantastical to any survivor's creations. Proof it's a real extinct creature ^ How it would skim across water ^

  30. I played for years and did heavy alpha tribe breeding on official servers so I understand that grind very well. I would never play this game again without cryopods. It is the largest QOL addition they have made by far. The take is nonsensical. Cryopods will be in ASA at launch.
    1 point
  31. Yeah until the time say extinction gets released and we finally get cryopods back, we’re looking at a lot, if not most, servers at tame cap due to the massive amount of breeding that a player has to do just to face alpha broodmother and megapithicus on the island. Not talking about dragon or the tek cave. Going into the alpha brood fight with even mediocre tames = getting your butt handed to you. That is if you plan on doing the old school way and not cheesing it. The point I’m trying to get at is, even if say 4-5 tribes out of the entire server start doing serious breeding for bosses, just the breed the stats that are needed to win those fights and the different strategies (Rex=monkey, megatherium=brood and their= dragon), we’re talking about hundreds of tames by the time the teams are finished, servers would be at tame cap inside 4 months guaranteed, not talking about the regular tribe cap. We’ve experienced that before, and I personally don’t want to go through it again.

  32. I wanted to apologize for what I said earlier, It was uncalled for and it only shows my own true colors. I don’t want any forgiveness or anything in return, I just want to say I’m sorry.

  33. I do understand the lack of time being a concern seeing as this vote came a week earlier than expected (for me at least), but if you ever do decide to use AI images for a future vote, please mention that the images are generated and why they're present, many people including myself frown upon its use but context would help out greatly 👍

  34. Yup it WILL be another nightmare no pods or maewings plus all the little extras we have from the other DLC's missing too UNLESS since if you BUY ASA you get access to all the other DLC's for free which 'unlocks' the tech? - doubtful but people can dream I suppose. Personally I am just going to sit back and watch a few youtubes for a few weeks to see how bad the poop is - I am still reallllly against even touching it in regards to buying it AGAIN - I will be glad when the official actually get turned off tbh.

  35. I think you’re spot on cosmic, they’ve done it before. Perfect example is the tapejara and the tropeo. The tropeo is just a reskinned tape with a a jet powered saddle. I have never really been a big fan of aberration so it doesn’t affect me that much, I’m actually more concerned about other things than creature votes, who’s submission has won more than once, yata yata yata. Don’t get me wrong, the creature additions are cool and all, but they’re kinda like hanging curtains in the living room of the house while the kitchen is on fire. With the lack of actual news and information in the last few crunches, my feeling is they’re going to delay ASA until December at least and go back to releasing scorched and the island at the same time, which is probably going change their price point….again. I’m also really concerned about how primitive they have mentioned on going with ASA. I don’t know how many old school Ark players are still around, but for those of you who started playing after 2017, the game was a different game pre-2017. Some aspects were down right awesome other parts of the game were far far from awesome. Breeding was a complete nightmare without cryopods, and even that is a mild understatement. Let put this way, if you wanted to breed in old school ark, YOU HAD NO LIFE!!! It took forever to raise tames for boss fights, especially if you were in a small tribe or solo. If you were in that type of scenario, you were basically forced to buy your boss tames. Not to mention when you finally did get a boss team, trying to get them to the obelisk to do the boss fight was another migraine in the works. Walking 18 rexes, a yuti and deadon to the obelisk is probably one of the worst pains in the rump you could think of. Then just to get there and realize some jack*ss left their boss team ON THE PLATFORM AND LOGGED OFF! Not to mention the shacks, buildings and fences that were quite literally PACKED around every ob with boss teams. THAT is the kind of experience that is waiting for those who never experienced that debacle. Back to breeding, the other annoying issue waiting for us is, tribes breeding for bosses or just breeding tames because they want to bogs down servers BADLY! I don’t care how advanced UR5 is or gonna be, THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN! Even the most advanced systems have their limitations. The point I’m getting to is that cryopods not only were a godsend to the breeding and taming of creatures, but they were more important to the running health of the servers. Not having cryopods at launch of ASA in my opinion is a such an insanely stupid idea that even the words “stupid idea” can’t express how stupid of a decision it would be. Now I would love to see the other QOL additions, that I believe should be, available at launch, just because I remember how daunting breeding and raising really was. Incubators, maewings and tek troughs really helped make the small and solo tribes have a level playing field with the big tribes in regards to breeding, it allowed people to actually have a life and not be, quite literally, tied to the game. Other things that I believe should be a part of ASA is flyer speed leveling. If WC is gonna try to have lightning strike twice that needs to be available. Allow flyers like quetzs worth something again. Allow us to build turrets on the platform saddles (in PvE), keep netguns on launch and actual real separate balancing for PvE and PvP. Remove some of the pointless nerfs that PvE had to take because of PvP balancing. Lastly, with the creature vote for The Center, I hope you guys are able to update that map. IMO it’s probably one of the best mod maps and deserves to have the best work. It has some of recognition being the first map to be added and deserves the love. With all that being said I look forward to Asa and I hope that it is everything we hope for and that WC/SG doesn’t try to pull any stupid shenanigans, but that’s probably just wishful hoping on my part.

Sorry but another useless crunch, you don’t say anything, don’t show anything from ASA or ark 2 or even from the mass ban! Don’t know what you waiting for?! Honestly if you continuou with this you will lose so many players!!

  37. @WILDCARD Please, please, please, PLEASE!!! Don't make your Community believe that you are completely ignoring us because of the marketing line you have chosen to follow, it makes us feel frustrated / deceived and makes our trust (and hope of regaining it) fall more and more into the abyss.. What I personally think: WILD-CARD a few years ago was born from "nothing" creating a game with a concept and mechanisms that proved to be engaging and suitable for many types of audience (builders, hunters, farmvillers, PvPers, explorers , etc.), conceived with the StarWars mentality of elaborating the entire Plot but released little by little to give longevity over time and to increase the interest of the Survivors from time to time who developed an ever greater Evolutionary sensation with each subsequent map. this has allowed ARK to gain its share of the market and to keep sales high over the course of almost 10 years both with new players (many of whom are involved with already Survivor friends) and with those who had fallen in love with ARK and continued to play it for all these years buying all its DLC to enjoy it to the fullest [and, either with the contractual % of third parties such as Nitrado or even GamePass itself] ; I mentioned that almost 10 years have passed, a "whole generation in gaming terms", but..... IF TODAY ARK:SE IT NEVER EXISTED YET?? If you started from scratch in vision of the next "video game generation" as well as 8 years ago, you can get the same results (taking into account that today they also have already tested data, more experience in the field, better technology, ideas/suggestions/criticisms/defects already known)? PROBABLY YES... If ARK came out as a new game today instead of 8 years ago, what reason would prevent it from achieving the same success?? We are sincere and aware that today we don't have a valid alternative similar to ARK as a whole...we also know that the next Generation of Consoles won't take too many years to arrive, and we know that the arrival of UnrealEngine5 is giving resulting in a leap in quality to current products .... in anticipation of acquiring the "new public" this is therefore the time to "anticipate any competition" by seeking one's own exclusive. Yes, in reality there are also other factors to weigh the risk: Ark is not out today for the first time, all existing players are excluded from the sales count if we assume that WC expects to get the same results as if starting from scratch? ...Yes and no.. + A slice of the Community will not buy ASA for various reasons (disappointed in treatment expectations or in the management of problems and bugs; economic question of purchasing a new Console/PC; does not want to play this game over again or had already changed game for some time *; some prefer to continue their own ARK:SE Servers) + Another slice of the Community will buy it in the hope of getting improvements (graphics, technical, new implementations, future new maps, so a further enlargement of the game, even *those who changed their game might want to buy the revamped and expanded Ark) = Well, if we put ourselves in view of opening a new market from "zero", then we are already starting with +1 slice earned by those who already know Ark and want to buy its new version (also bringing along some old/new friend, then buyer) Ok, the above is what I want to take into account in this message excluding judgment on right or wrong WC's handling the situation and especially the information, but I started this message asking you to LISTEN TO YOUR SURVIVORS [ [your audience...your Lenders!!]] TRUST is the most important point of all: -- there was/is the question i of the ASA price for THOSE WHO ALREADY OWN ARK:SE (<--- I highlight for the avoidance of doubt, those who had already paid ARK and will have to pay the full price again) and there are a thousand ways to incentivize us to compare it more honestly in our regards (e.g.: you have Byronic Skin Dinosaurs in the Store, create in the Store a "Paid Set" of Dino Variants among the existing ones useful to speed up the new ""Restart"" (Anky-Decu-Stego-Argy _ Magma-Maewing -Gacha _ etc.) that have some better specs/stats than the original Dinos and make these Sets free to ARK:SE owners while still having an extra cash left for you in the Store; it's just one example out of a thousand that could be suggested) ) paying homage to the loyalty of those who have already supported you and would not hesitate to continue if only they kept TRUST in you... -- you're forcing the hand of that slice of us who structured their game in the Official Servers by categorically closing them, when there would probably be a way to group and keep at least a small part of them for those who won't have the chance to get ASA regardless; taking the perspective of "starting from scratch" in NextGen, it may be that you will be right in strict terms of Marketing, but on the scales you are putting another slap on Trust! ..even the future one. -- Save Data: DID YOU SCHEDULE A MARCH-31ST RESCUE??! Are you already doing some intermediate savepoints? But above all: given that many of us demotivated Ark:se has been keeping their bases active for 4 months so as not to ruin YEARS of their game and will certainly continue for other months by now (more and more demotivated by further delays but having to refresh the Decay Timers and Dino), is it possible to receive some updates on the possibility of playing them without having to pay to rent them? And which "dates" will we have access to? ((if we had news that today our worlds have already been saved, you would immediately see a sudden release of Servers/Resources, as well as doing a big favor to those who have already organized their own Servers and have waited with confidence for these Save Data)) -- there are also other pending issues: Mod.io had been announced for Ark2 and it would seem a Sponsor accepted by many, for ASA instead Overwolf received heavy criticisms (even when one of its operators tried to intervene once here in the Forum, then vanished into thin air since then, school "we too learn how NOT to know how to win Trust"), here complete silence and another punch in the stomach for many. -- Cross-Platform AntiCheat? It is assumed that you will also open "NON Multiplatform Servers" for those who use Consoles to not meet with PC Cheaters, any info about it? what is it and what does it do? Which Cheats will it be able to block? Surely I'm leaving out other points [the Animated Series? Does it exist or is it just a sort of publicity gimmick?] but it is already evident that the major "DEFECT" is the lack of communication, which turns into a lack of involvement and trust .... If you have not been able to respect a date or solve a specific problem or anything else: tell us about it, explain it to us, let us know and also participate, Trust is also won BY FACING TOGETHER the ongoing issues, certainly not with "silence and we hope you forget"....... I won't go any further and end here [[...still Confident..]] my appeal to @WildCard

  39. I hope we see some information about the server transfer for ARK SE, to see if it would be actually worth it.

  40. Literally the 20th community crunch since you announced asa and server shut downs. Not being hasty but can we see just a peek of footage next week? Please? There's no way you dont have anything after all this time. Also can we have 3x and it stay. We only have a bit over a month left why not let us go crazy with it?

  41. Too bad, the dinos don't interest me in the least, I find these fast successive Keraturwahlen rather slaying and no longer vote. I was hoping for more information (pictures) how items will look in Asa. But maybe next week..and I'd really like to see maybe some trivia mentioned about the changes in Asa. Regarding the AI, if structures will load BEFORE the animals, to what extent the character creation will change, or if any ideas from the suggestion channel will be considered, or if they will be looked at at all. And how taming works in ASA, whether that stays as before, or changes for some animals. But WC will be sure to get back to us with more details in due course. i continue to look forward to ASA, but the crunches are very uninteresting, it's not really worth staying up extra for.
