  1. Apologies for the delay. I actually took a couple days off after the disheartening result of waiting 1.5 hours for The Island 892 to finally fail without pointing at anything obvious I had done wrong. Back to work today but will try get back to it this evening and hopefully make some more progress.

  3. I've always assumed it isn't listed on Steam yet because they have no trailer or ingame screenshots to go with it yet, so there wouldn't be anything to entice people to wishlist it other than current ARK players. As for pre-orders, I don't think Early Access titles generally do pre-orders.

  6. "I don't think that this would fit in the map" I get it, you all wanted the jumping spider to win the Aberration vote, but ever since it lost you have all been now saying the following words: "I don't think that this would fit in the map" You people do realize that this author had put a lot of effort into this right? And yet some of you are saying: "I don't think that this would fit in the map" Hearing all this, These people like I said earlier put a lot of effort into this thing, and now your saying that it don't FIT??? Jerryen said this: "As a reminder, let's discuss the creature, and not those who support the creature or do not support the creature. Everyone has a right to submit a creature, so long as they follow the published guidelines." He's right, everyone has a right to submit a creature, it's OKAY But let me tell you something, words are strong at times, maybe too strong... And saying: "I don't think that this would fit in the map" Those can be strong words... And now according to Delren what said, that due to "outside circumstances" this is the last time we will ever vote for this creature, I wonder why... Look I get it, your saying that "I don't think that this would fit in the map" because you think that it's the not right environment for the creature at all. I get it, but look, what your saying is probably effecting both Sovi and Delren, they sent a lot of time on this, but we need to realize that saying words like "I don't think that this would fit in the map" can have an effect. Again, words are strong So please, don't say "I don't think that this would fit in the map", say something else. Sovi, Delren, If your reading this, I apologize if I'm coming out as rude, but I want to let people know that words like "I don't think that this would fit in the map" can have an effect on people or may come out as criticism. I know you sent a lot of time this thing. If this is the last time for the spider, then hear this: Good luck with this, believe in your selves that your spider might win, if not, then that's okay, you did your best and that's OK no matter what. Over and out PS: You have my vote

  7. At this point you have to figure someone can't be this ignorant and is just trolling. The smart people have spoken.

  8. Hmmm I wonder, if again this time it wont make it into the vote, which of the remaining maps would you think it can most likely fit? Aberration was still kinda the perfect spot. Valgueros aberration area is kinda small, maybe the bog of Gen 1? Hmm a few more cool options

  13. I think I will give the opportunity to explore new ideas before repeating any. I don't rule out being able to return to one, but I prefer to give variety and a unique essence to each vote suggestion.

  16. for sure! I am glad that we are actually getting it in ark2 it deserves to be in the game. it would be super nice tho if they added it over to asa or if we could get it voted in to be a real thing. 😀

  17. I see the bases are splitted. some just look up for a interesting future. I am disapointed by snail games and if i only would be good in creating crowd foundings... i would create one for wild card. they did choose just the wrong partner. do not let it be a: untill death seperates us. omg --<--@

  19. There was a time I would fully agree with a subscribtion for official. BUT.... I already pay Sony for online acces and neither Sony nor WC is doing a good job at customer support. Also there are other games showing neither is needed. Take Warthunder: No subscribtion, no PSN. Yes, they do sell boosters and skins but never felt the urge to buy any. ARK however is a paid game wich I would have considdered being worth a subscription if not for their underperforming support and failing to keep promisses. As long as WC does not regain some trust I'm no longer considder paying any form of subscription for it.

  20. Blizzard has clout. WC has consistently failed as a company for a game they pushed 7 years ago......SEVEN YEARS.......any dev worth thier gaming salt could iron out semi crinkles, but we have all been fed "Lookie lookie, more stuff that is broken! New colors that we made up just to make sure try-hards breed and sell jazz on FB so our player count doesn't drop!"

  21. Absolutely love how the corruption is implemented into the design here, really rad kit too

  22. My bad I didn't actually mean each map getting themed dinosaurs, just themes in general and the dev's would choose where they go to. Just themes so that they could add more different catagories of animals that are added, since there's alot less air and sea for example compared to land. So like they say everyone suggest your ideas for an aquatic creature etc. And when they would announce the winner they could tell us where they chose for it to be found mapwise. I think themes could just give some more variety to whats suggested. 🤔

  24. I agree, i like being able to have the option of the same genus, a dwarf mammoth could actually be really nice to have in game, I like the idea of having multiple of the same kinds of creatures and different variety in species.. I also completely agree with you on wanting more creature votes after the map suggestions, in the form of themed votes. I think it would be a really great way of getting some nice specific kinds of creatures like submissions for: flyers, sea creatures, shoulder pets, cute or scary, something mythical (maybe folklore kinda creatures) etc.

  25. As a quick reminder, the creature submission threads should be for discussions about the submitted creature and not the creature submission rules or guidelines. For example, there is no rule against the number of submissions someone can make. If you have a concern about it (or similar concerns), there is active thread about Creature Submissions, where you can discuss it: https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/695960-creature-submissions/ As such, I have removed any off-topic comments and follow-up comments.

  31. So they screwed console players entirely! And they purposely withheld the information about single player saves until the end, knowing it would further piss off console players. Still not understanding why console players can't save their official server content as an non-dedicated server. But i can accept that if true but seems to me this is a move to push people to their business partner (who they are in massive debt to) Nitrado. Think of the console players who have been keeping their maps and severs going assuming they'd be able to save the content. They could have been informed months ago and saved time and effort. This is why so many are walking away from Ark entirely and refusing to support Ark 1.5 aka ASA. You let the biggest fans of your game hang onto their console bases only to tell them they have no way of saving their content unless they continuously pay your business partner! If anyone still thinks this company is going to deliver a game worth playing by October I have some magic beans to sell you as well. If you want further proof of how wrong they are towards gamers keep in mind that this game that goes offline in just a short time and won't allow it's console community to keep it's saves outside of forking over more money....is still for sale at full price in the xbox store, with no warning about the servers going offline!!

  33. The best first 5 dinos in ARK are the first 5 dino's you can get, no matter what they are. If you think it's super important to tame a raptor, and that means you pass up an opportunity to tame a decent mid-to-high-level baryonyx, that's a mistake. If you think it's super important to tame a parasaur, and that means you pass up on the opportunity to tame 5 dodo's and start collecting eggs, that's a mistake. If you think it's super important to tame a... well, you get the idea. Any discussion about "the best first" thing to do in ARK is a misguided discussion. ARK is about making progress and being as flexible as possible while you do it. What you don't want to do is get fixated on "this is what I have to do next" and cause yourself to miss other opportunities. Let's say you're flying around on an argy looking for a rex to tame, you land to get stamina and you accidentally discover an explorer's note, which means you have boosted XP for the next 5 minutes. In that case, you stop looking for rex's for 5 minutes and kill everything you possibly can to take advantage of the XP boost for 5 minutes, then you go back to looking for rex's. Be flexible, stay flexible. I've been in a tribe where the tribe leader said, "We need to find 6 rex's at level 130-150 so we can begin our breeding program", and then for the next three days we had 6 people just looking for nothing but rex's. We had terrible luck, we found almost nothing but low level rexes. It took three days for 6 people to finally find 6 good rex's so we could begin breeding. And then the very next day we tamed 3 Lvl 150 rex's that improved the HP, Stam and Melee stats of our breeding pool, which means that the previous 3 days were almost entirely wasted time. You can't force ARK to give you what you want, you need to take advantage of every opportunity when it comes your way. Don't think about "the best", instead think, "What do I need to do so I can be ready for any opportunity?" For example, building a taming trap in an area that spawns multiple species is much more useful than trying run around or fly around looking for each of those species one-at-a-time. Having a taming trap means that any good dino which falls into your trap is ready for you to tame. Trying to look for a specific A, B or C is a waste of your time and causes lost opportunities. Be flexible, stay flexible, there is no best first anything.

  35. Nobody here even mentioned that I saw, you did absolutely NOT need to wait for the save files to be released to get a screen shot of negative mutation counters on official saves lmao!! This exploit is so common all you had to do was get someone to sell you a max melee rex or two. Why are you acting like this is a big reveal that you the expert deduced on the release of the saves?

  36. Murder derp. I love it. Hoping he makes it into the top 10 with his bro, Sauroposeidon. 🥺 Edit: I also want to say I love the taming method. It's not as complicated as some of the new stuff that people have come up with but it's not totally boring either. I'm so excited to see where this goes.

  38. I'm going to be honest in saying that the corrupted crest concept alone kind of sells the concept to me. Having a more combat-oriented pterosaur would also be nice, especially for its size.

  39. I’ll be the first to admit that Sauropods are far from my favorites, but this is super creative and clever. The concept is cute and it could amount to an interesting mini game. Also using the drums as a taming method is brilliant!
