the only tribemate from evolved who was willing to try ascended just keeps telling us about all the bugs and how bad the render distance is. i thought it can't be that bad, no way they made the game worse than before and come here and see this.

So they screwed console players entirely! And they purposely withheld the information about single player saves until the end, knowing it would further piss off console players. Still not understanding why console players can't save their official server content as an non-dedicated server. But i can accept that if true but seems to me this is a move to push people to their business partner (who they are in massive debt to) Nitrado. Think of the console players who have been keeping their maps and severs going assuming they'd be able to save the content. They could have been informed months ago and saved time and effort. This is why so many are walking away from Ark entirely and refusing to support Ark 1.5 aka ASA. You let the biggest fans of your game hang onto their console bases only to tell them they have no way of saving their content unless they continuously pay your business partner! If anyone still thinks this company is going to deliver a game worth playing by October I have some magic beans to sell you as well. If you want further proof of how wrong they are towards gamers keep in mind that this game that goes offline in just a short time and won't allow it's console community to keep it's saves outside of forking over more money....is still for sale at full price in the xbox store, with no warning about the servers going offline!!

Talk about tone deaf. They are currently getting review bombed by angry gamers so bad that they have to give away free copies on steam with the requirement that recipients leave a review to try and combat the bad ones. (Friendly reminder to update those reviews gamers!) They are also in the process of still selling Ark and it's DLC in stores for a game that will essentially go into offline mode come August, with no mention of the servers going offline in the stores. (dont even mention the soon to be abandoned unofficial servers) But rejoice...shiny new dino to play with...for a couple months. This will play out only 2 ways; gamers let themselves be played and shell out for this reskin of content they already own or they stand their ground and refuse anything ASA related for anything beyond $30

I just don't know how they keep dropping the ball like this. I'm they did much better on the communications on this one but that's only because of how bad the last one was. Gamers aren't dumb. This is the exact same deal just repackaged and recommunicated so it can be better received. If you do the math it all breaks down the same, same content only with Ark 2 and it's "potential" cost removed. They will of course be back to sell Ark 2 and it will most likely be higher than $30 which will cost gamers more in the end. And as I've been saying since the original post; how does Wildcard or Snailgames get away with still selling Ark and it's DLC in stores with no mention that the official servers will be shutting down?? There is a reason WC is having to give away free copies to try and fight the negative reviews and press they are getting.

I believe as part of xbox's deal with Ark that PS5 won't get it until after a year or more. but they will still get it. I don't remember the specifics, but playstation id pay like 3.5 for a Ark deal.

Everything else aside for a moment. Am I wrong or does it seem kinda unethical if not outright illegal for them to be bundling a product on xbox and pc for sale that was due to be part of gamepass? A gamepass deal that was several million if i recall. If anything the bundle is probably the legal loophole that allows them to do this but It would be interesting to see if microsoft is aware of them doing this. Playstation paid even more for Ark to be on PS Plus i believe. could be an interesting point to bring up.

maybe the PVP crowd loves a fresh start. Those gamers and content creators who can't wait to make money on 1.5 views are the only people I'm seeing happy about this. Friendly reminder to update those game reviews guys.

$49.99 to play the same game with graphical update and other fixes....none of which we've seen or can rely on tbh. All just so I can go back to playing The Island.... And have to pay for other DLC. Not sure who asked for this.

Come on guys you have to be kinda laughing at this point right? If you think WC does anything "on time" then you have a limitless amount of faith and my kudos to you. I would have liked to hop on before work but whatever I'll play when I get home....if the network is back up by then.
