New Creatures Noglin The Noglin may look cute but don't be fooled! There's a mind-bending surprise in store when it wraps around the noggin of a target -- it enables you to temporarily take control of enemy creatures, tames, or even other humans! Shadowmane This chimerical prowler has powerful group-cloaking abilities for all your sneaking-needs, while also making use of a lightning fast chain-teleport-strike that can decimate groups of targets. By the time its victims are aware of its presence, it's often already too late! Stryder Better brush up on your hacking skills to claim one of these giant mechanical Stryders! Patrolling the colony ship, they are outfitted with a variety of randomized individual components across their body, which gives each Stryder a different potential set of unique skills whether in defense, offense, or utility! Astrodelphis This curious extraterrestrial creature may look like the cetaceans that once swam in Earth's oceans, but they seem to be at home in the interstellar medium, far from any planet's surface. Place the versatile Tekwing saddle on them, and they're a veritable fighter spacecraft capable of blasting targets out of the sky with lasers or homing charges or bombing them into oblivion. And yes, they can do a shot-repelling barrel roll! GEN-X Variants Some old friends will be making a reappearance in Genesis Part 2 -- here's an early look at our GEN-X variants, which include new versions of many previous expansions' creatures! New Items Hoversail You've never really traveled until you've tried hoversailing! There's no better way to get yourself across the ring than jumping on one of these hi-tek boards and surfing the air currents, and no better feeling than skimming the skies to find the perfect tailwind while nailing flashy tricks to boost your speed! TEK Bow Run into trouble aboard the ship? The Federation issue TEK bow materializes arrows of any type on the fly and uses electromagnetism to shoot them at blinding velocities. TEK Federation Suit Suit up, survivor! You'll find this to be an upgrade from what you experienced wearing inside the Genesis simulation. This sleek, hi-tek exo-armor should protect you in a variety of otherwise lethal situations -- and best of all, on Genesis Part 2, this suit has unlimited jetpack power without the need for Element -- and Flyers are also fully supported this time around! Canoe Not simply just for recreation, you can pick your canoe up and place it down again in any body of water. With multiple rowers working in tandem, the canoe can travel exceptionally fast. Fishing from a canoe is especially convenient, as is the built-in cooking pot! Minigun Need a massive barrage of bullets to keep your enemies under pressure? What this Minigun lacks in accuracy and tendency to overheat, it makes up for in sheer firepower. Place it in stationary mode to improve its accuracy and clear targets around corners! TEK Pistol Each crew member will be issued a Federation phase pistol, equipped with multiple lethality settings. Take care not to aim one of these in the vicinity of any crewmate or shipboard fauna, unless it is set to healing or stun mode New Structures Egg Incubator Who needs to fuss with eggs when you can use the fantastical mechanical egg incubation device to cook them to perfection? This device lets you view all the statistics and mutations of eggs and incubate them at an optimal temperature while hatching them at your convenience! Ammobox This handy new structure will automatically fill all nearby turrets with all the varieties of ammunition, while its floating HUD shows you its total ammo stats without the need to open the inventory (and also reflected visually with the ammunition models displayed on it). Remote Camera Security System Secure your base in Genesis Part 2 with the Remote Camera Security System. Issue commands, view, and communicate all from a remote location. You can even use them to spy-on and communicate with your enemies! Loadout Mannequin No need to scream "who moved my kit from my vault?" at your tribe mates again while your turrets are soaked and you run in circles. Kit up quick and get to those griefers by storing your loadouts on trusty Loadout Mannequins, which also visualize your gear and hotbar items, for a single-press full equipment swap! TEK Crop Plot Want to take up gardening aboard ship? Crew members can make use of this hi-tek crop plot to efficiently raise harvestable plants just about anywhere! New Environment Genesis Ship Welcome to your new home, survivor! You've been returned to life aboard this immense vessel representing the pinnacle of mankind's ingenuity... What could have motivated so desperate a measure, to cast all of nature itself adrift in this interstellar lifeboat? Biome 01 The idyllic sunlit meadows and rolling hills of this tranquil biome show little to indicate what's in store under the influence of Rockwell's insanity. Biome 02 Enjoying this view, survivor? Perhaps you'd fancy a stroll along this promenade? Don't be shy -- those bridges are spacious enough for any beast you've tamed, and its observation towers offer the best vantage of the sprawling artificial gardens you see before you. Biome 03 Creation is an exhilarating undertaking, one of the incomparable perquisites of godhood. I'm afraid you won't find much in the way of creature comforts here. This garden isn't meant for you, after all... Biome 04 "How foolish you are, to have scurried into my inner sanctum. Did you truly expect to evade my notice here? I am this place now. And you're merely a parasite." And of course, this isn't everything there is to see about Genesis Part 2! We have so much more in store and can't for you to check it out in March 2021! Thank you once again for tuning in this weekend and for all your fundraising efforts to help sick kids! We couldn't be more proud of our community. All the best! 3. It's nothing to do with effort of switching the EVO on. It's more to do with balancing and server performance. You could also say the Devs upped the base rates to 2x and in return they must pay for increased demand for more rates.

  4. Today was a reminder of how even completely innocent things in ark can go wrong real quick. I started by feeding my magmas, loading up my gachas witch stone & farming a few things around my base at the island. As I fed my dung beetles, I realized just how much fertilizer I had, way more then needed. And suddenly I got an idea: why not make some re-fertilizer and make the area around my base pretty again? So crafted loads of re-fertilizer, and tried it out for the first time. I know that tames can vanish when a rock or tree respawns right where they are, so I was careful to move away from them, focussing instead on the area near my fence. I really liked the results of the re-fertilizing. Soon I was hopping around my base, poofing trees back into existence, feeling like some hippie wood elf. But then suddenly, found myself unabe to move! I was stuck inside something, although I could not see what it was. I tried crouching down, which did not help, and seconds later found myself dead. Ok then, the re-fertilizer can evidently get you killed, how funny... As I respawned and ran towards the place of my untimely demise, something strange occured to me: There was no green ray marking my body. Oh crap. 😕 This might mean that I had fallen through the mesh - something which I managed to avoid in this game, until today. Sure enough, there was a big gray rock in place of my body, and no body bag to be seen. I realized what this meant: I had just lost a set of rather expensive armor, as well as my favorite chibi, a featherlight. Even worse, my favorite shoulder pet, an event colored aberrant otter, was not there either. In complete denial, I hit the whistle button, hoping to at least make the otter appear again somehow. Immediately, the earth started rumbling - in my panic, I had just caused every dino in my base to run towards me. 😅 I moved the dinos back to their feeding throughs, which took forever, then grabbed a pickaxe and removed the rock that had killed me. As I had feared, there was no body bag under it, either, and no otter. In this moment, I really just wanted to rage quit for today. My favorite shoulder pet & chibi, gone forever, just because I wanted to make my base pretty. I walked back into the nursery to cryo the magmas and log out. As I stood inside the nursery, looking out of the windows, across the river, I noticed a green glow. "How strange", I thought to myself, "I've never seen a supply drop come down in this exact location." Then I realized what the green glow meant, and what I was looking at: my very own body bag, which somehow had moved to a completely different location, across the river and into the redwood biome, where I definitly did not set foot today. I raced out of the base, hopped onto a wyvern & flew over, and sure enough, there was my body, with ~3 minutes decay timer left, and with the otter chilling next to it. None of this made any sense: why was my body there? And how did the otter survive being in the redwoods of all places without being eaten by the terrorbirds, or trodoons, or carnos, or any of the other nasties? DILO DILO DILO. 🤪 I decided that ultimately, none of this really mattered. I took my stuff & my otter, went home and logged out.

  5. Today was a busy day. I worked hard rotating various timers for imprinting on 7 dinos. I hit every imprint on the timer exactly. My rex hit 100% today so I was feeling good. My giga was only at 14 or 17%. Something like that, but he was coming along. I really like this Giga. He is like a lime green and he is supposed to be over 1k melee after imprinting is complete. I'm working really hard not to miss any imprints. It will be worth all the work in the end. My 377 boss deino egg hatches on time, so I start feeding the baby. I'll be ready to join a group for the dragon boss soon. The day is looking up. Nothing has died. I'm really feeling positive. My neighbor stops by. He just got back from Aberration I think he said. He didn't catch anything except a few skins. Then the 892 server crashes. It's offline for a bit, but I am spamming refresh and as soon as it is listed again I log back in. All of my babies and dinos are still there. I quickly run around check their food supplies. I then update the times on all of my imprint timers. Phew, I thought to myself. It could have been worse. Then my neighbor logs in, but his tribe name is missing. And he is on a fresh character. The crash occurred before the world save and his character isn't there. This day is going south fast all of a sudden. After several attempts and transfers between worlds he finally appears back on 892 but he is missing all of his stuff and his wyvern that he had brought back to 892. He still retained ownership of everything he had on 892 prior to jumping to the new map so not all is lost. A little bit later he spots a Tek Quetzal. It was a beautiful bird and he needed my help taming it. His plan was to have me join his tribe temporarily so I can pick him up on an Argie and he can shoot his rifle at the Quetzal. Seems simple enough. I said sure. I joined his tribe, I pick him up with the Argie and off we go after the Quetzal. After about 50 ish darts, it goes down. It lands by a river with Allosaurus near by. We secure the immediate area and go back to our base for reinforcements. I grabbed my snow owl and cryo my new 100% imprint level 450 rex (61k hp 1.9k melee) and another 450 rex (33k hp, 1.2k melee). We get back to the Quetzal and I set up both Rex's on aggressive and not to attack unconscious dinos. I use the owl to scan for dinos in the area and we quickly clear out a large radius. All goes according to plan and the Quetzal is tamed. Wow, this day wasn't too bad afterall. We head back to base. He beats me back to base. He said thanks and said he was going to boot me from his tribe now. No problem. Glad I could help. I am instantly ejected from my owl very, very far up above the swamp. I come crashing down and die instantly. O.M.G. What just happened? Apparently when I got booted from his tribe, I lost ownership of my own owl. I tell him in Global what happened and he quickly comes to invite me back. No longer with a base of my own, I had respawned at the beach with the rest of the beach bobs. My neighbor gets to me and invites me back into his tribe. We are really far from his base so I swim out into the ocean and drown myself so I can respawn at his base. I run over to my base and grab my argy. I fly out to where I died and get my loot (which included my 2 rex's that were cryo'd) and I fly up to whistle my snow owl to follow me home. During this my neighbor somehow crashed his Tropeognathus and died himself. As soon as I get back to my base, I jump on the owl, switch on the vision to look for his bird. He had actually spawned close enough to his body that he was able to retrieve his items and his bird pretty quick. We then both head back to base. At base we try to figure out how I lost ownership of everything. I lost my storage building with 30+ large storage boxes plum full of loot. I lost my fully equipped nursery that was as tall as a behemoth door to accommodate any dino, this also included my workshop with all of the industrial equipment and 4 fridges for kibble and dino food. I lost my huge green house with 24 plots. I lost my dino pen. And I lost my hatchery that was built with 30 ac, and also contained a cryo fridge, 2 generators, and 3 more refrigerators. As long as I am in his tribe, I can access my own stuff but if I leave, I lose everything. And to top it off, in the excitement... my beloved giga starved to death. Just the biggest let down of the night. This game just really plays on your emotions to the point of exhaustion. The most positive part of this is the players on 892. They are the greatest group of people I've gamed with in a long time. We struggle together. We lose stuff every time the server randomly crashes. We've all hit E at our destination just to rubberband back 100 feet and fall from midair to our deaths. The continuous rollbacks are just crazy. It just boggles my mind how a server runs like this. We are in 2021. I played World of Warcraft for 14 years and it was never this crazy. Server technology and technology in general has progressed far but Ark seem stuck in time 7 years ago. Anyway to end my story for the day, I now belong to a tribe of 2. I fully trust my new tribe mate. I know he feels bad about the whole situation. I would too in his shoes. It is not the end of the world. It could always be worse. So when life gives you lemons, squeeze it into lemonade and drink it.

  6. Rewatching the A2 trailer 50 times.. realizing we should have know it’s ark based on so many factors before the implants. First of all it’s an ark artistic style. Even if the orcs threw us off. I also noticed lots of similar/the same plant tree rock and stone nodes. Various sounds were reused and some animation concepts(Axe twirling). Not that any of that is important. Anyway, theories time. Somehow we still have a sort of respawn system, and somehow we stop growing old, and the reason the dinos are so different is they’ve been around so long they have evolved through natural selection. Combined with aliens this would likely speed up this process due to the Alternate environment. This would also mean mythical dinos(Camo Flower leaf lizards) would not be engineered, but naturally evolved, providing WC with a way to add more unique critters.

  7. An up and down few days... A few days ago I spoke to my server friend and confirmed we are still a "go" for raising baby basilos together during the valentine event. She thinks she might have some of the top basilos on the server and I am excited at the potential of it. With that being said, I know a very good basilo for caves is in my future. However, I couldn't resist taking out my bary (Van Halen) to see what I could find. So I grabbed a couple tanks and kibble and headed out. Right away I spotted a level 55 female. Not impressive, I know. But I was having one of those ark moments when it is not about the perfect stats and more about just having fun in the water. I know a high level baby is on the way so I took the pressure off myself today. I know she might never see the inside of a cave, but I could still use her for deep sea loot crates. So I tamed her. Easy Peasy. After recharging my scuba tank (and grabbing a third one while at base) I went looking for the afore mentioned loot crates. In all my time playing on single player I never once found one... So I kept my hopes in check while we swam around in this PVE world. We spent a couple of hours swimming ( and leveling )... then I found one! I couldn't believe my eyes. They do exist!!! LOL. I cleared the area of hostiles and dreamed of something wonderful like a high level saddle BP. But... what I got was two pieces of MC ghillie, not bad, but I have better stuff already. Eh. A small let down, but I was still very happy to find a loot crate. After a little more looking I noticed my last tank was getting low so I started heading toward the nearest iceberg up in the NW corner to exchange the basilo for the argy. However, just as I was surfacing I saw a 125 basilo gliding along at the surface. I raced home, repaired the tanks, and went back. I then cleared the mantas and other hostile creatures and swam over to give the first feed... successfully done... then noticed I only had a few more kibble... ugggh! Flew home a second time, checked dododex for amount needed, grabbed that amount plus one (just in case). Flew back. Found the basilo again, cleared out the hostile critters again, and re-fed the first kibble again. Everything was going well until... a couple eels appeared. Not really an issue while riding a basilo, but as they came upon me I casually hit the attack button and forgot that basilos have a pretty good AOE on their attack. I nipped the 125 in the tail and said a few four-letter words as I realized I had to start the taming process over. Ugggh! It was only two feeds away from tame at that point. Flew home a third time. Noticed I didn't have enough yellow kibble on hand. Made kibble. Repaired scuba. Flew back. Found basilo... again. Cleared out hostiles... again. Fed and tamed.... finally! Woohoo. Put on a saddle and leveled him up to about 225 before tanks were exhausted. And, frankly I was too. Flew home happy. The second basilo, although not yet ready for the caves, could potentially be a good back up if rescue was needed... or if my part-time tribe mate wanted to accompany me later... he could use it once it is ready. Next day... My tribe mate shows up and I tell him about the deep sea crates. He is excited and we agree to take out the basilos. On the way to the beach my server connection gets extremely laggy. I dc on the beach. Log back 5 minutes later and it is still really bad. However he said his connection was fine. I decide to bail on the idea and head back to base. Disconnected again. Meanwhile, he decides to take the high level basilo for a test drive anyway. When I finally get back to base he announces he found a cave. He has never done the caves before and I didn't think he would be that stupid. So I didn't say anything. 1 minute later he announced his death and the death of the basilo. I froze, not sure if that really just happened. 10 minutes is all it took him to kill the tame I have been looking for for the past 3 weeks. I didn't know what to say. But I was pissed. He said he was sorry then laid down on his bed and logged off. DILO? I know tames die. I know accidents happen. But this felt like a knife in the back, or at the very least, a kick to the nuts. I sent him a text about being a careless idiot, and all my time wasted from the day before. I didn't kick him from the tribe, but I did tell him that he has to do his own taming now. If he wants to tag along, then he has to do the work to keep up. I don't know how to be more fair than that. Oh my gosh, sorry. This was another long one. I will stop there.

  8. Very excited! Really good stuff! For me the incubator is going to save a lot of time! That stat preview before hatching is really sweet! Really liked everything shown here, plus the trailer. Love this approach with more story content, with excellent voice over! Thanks Wildcard! Been here with you all since before the original's launch, and I am still here! Thanks for delivering such great content! Ark has a really special place in my library. Cheers!

  10. TLC 3 Wishlist I had previously posted a thread for TLC suggestions, but I can no longer seem to find it. Given WC's dedication to open communication and bugfixing as of late, the potential for a third TLC patch seems possible if they continue to listen to our suggestions. In this case, what creatures would you like to see get a TLC pass in the future, and what new abilities would you give them? Just as an aside, TLC has really only been for dinos introduced prior to June 2016, as after that is when WC really started to diversify dino abilities and roles. Of course, feel free to suggest changes to dinos after that, but I'd like to steer discussion in the direction of ideas for the OG batch of creatures, as they're the ones who desperately need it. Here are all of the suggestions I've compiled over my time playing the game: Anglerfish Visual overhaul - No. It looks fine, though I don't use them often so I'm unsure if I speak for the majority in thinking so. Though useful for silica pearls, the Angler is otherwise lackluster in its stats and slow, so to fix that: Secondary attack that intensifies its lantern, stunning small nearby aquatic creatures (Coel, Salmon, Cnidaria, Ammonite, and Eels) and creating a large flash of light underwater like Plant Z (with a cooldown). Useful for escaping from Mosasaurus or Tusoteuthis, or stunning nearby fish to eat them. Passively produces Angler Gel in its inventory (similar to the rate that the Achatina produces its paste). Lantern shines different colors when detecting nearby enemy creatures and max level wild creatures (like the shoulder pets from Aberration, making it useful on the Island and the unofficial maps for finding high levels). Araneo Visual overhaul - Yes. As one of the first purely "enemy" creatures in the game (it wasn't tamable until a while after the game was released into EA), the Araneo has struck fear into the hearts of spelunkers, but it isn't quite as scary when encountered now. Give it an update, and make it absolutely horrific - it's supposed to be a nightmarish combination of spiders, after all. Tamed Araneo suffer from mobility issues. They're slow, and they can't do much. Let's fix that: Tamed Araneo can now climb walls (but not ceilings) like the Thylacoleo, making it a slow but versatile mount. Araneo can create temporary (to prevent spamming) organic ziplines with their webs, allowing them to traverse terrain even more freely. Biting human-sized prey or smaller (drag weight 35 or less) that has succumb to torpidity will wrap it in a sticky web; prey then quickly suffocates - you no longer have to wait for spiders to bite through your armor to eat you when knocked unconscious. Also adds a bit more danger to caving. Archaeopteryx Visual overhaul - No. While it can be easy to confuse with the Microraptor at a glance, the Archa is fairly good in terms of model quality. The Archa's worst problem is that it was advertised as a parachute alternative, but requires it to be held, unlike a shoulder pet. To fix that: The Archa is now a shoulder pet. To activate its gliding ability, double-tap the jump key as you would a Glider. Its gliding style remains the same. Brontosaurus Visual overhaul - Yes. Please. The Titanosaur and Diplodocus outshine the Bronto in terms of model and animation quality. The Bronto does a lot as a turret soaker, but why not let it do a little more; it's the largest permanently tamable herbivore, after all. Here, we've got: For a secondary attack, the Bronto can perform a rearing stomp, dealing massive damage (Base 180) without gathering. Attack obviously has a lengthy animation to prevent spam. A "roar" that scares large wild carnivores (basically any carnivore that would otherwise attack a Bronto, including Gigas) into retreating for approximately 30 seconds, as long as the Bronto is above 50% Health. Carnivores would attempt to move as far as they can from the Bronto as possible, but readily attack non-Brontos nearby. Two minute cooldown, no effect on tamed creatures. Immunity to the "Gnashed" effect. The Bleed effect entirely circumvents the massive Health pools that Brontos have. Considering that a Bronto is already unlikely to survive an encounter with a wild Giga, this betters their odds. Thematically it makes sense as well, as a big animal like the Bronto would have thick skin and make it better-protected from such attacks. Carbonemys Visual overhaul - Yes, desperately. The turtle is one of the more rigid creatures in the game. The player model also has a tendency to change dimensions when saddled on the turtle. An early sight on the beaches, Carbonemys falls out of use the further inland you travel (with the exception of being tamed to soak turrets), so let's rectify that: Can duck into its shell, pulling the rider in with it; greatly reduces physical damage taken but make the turtle immobile (will also sink in water). Wild carnivores will lose interest when the turtle is in this state, same as with the Doed. Projectile and explosive damage values remain unaffected to prevent soaking abuse. Faster swimming speed, as mentioned in the dossier. "Pacifist" buff - the longer a Carbonemys goes without attacking and hitting another creature, the more resources it will gather (up until 3x vanilla server rates after 300 seconds out of combat). Dossier mentions it isn't a violent creature, so it ought to benefit from acting like one. Carnotaurus Visual overhaul - Yes. We know from recent updates that WC's artists can make their designs a lot sleeker than they used to. The Carno is the "Cheetah" of the Island's carnivores, according to its dossier. So let's give it some of those attributes: The obvious base-speed increase, particularly for sprinting. A sound pass on its walking and running footfalls would be nice too, making it less loud. The species' name is "Pressor," or "Crusher" - therefore, give it a charge with a twist. The Carno will rush forward after a quick wind-up, running in whatever direction it is steered. If the Carno pins a creature of equal or lesser drag weight (250) with this attack, the creature suffers from the Suffocating debuff (which already exists in game) over 4 seconds and loses all of its Oxygen, as the Carno knocks the wind out of its lungs. A 50% weight reduction on meat in its inventory. The "meat-eating bull" can become great for meat runs, especially in the mid-game. Reduced damage from attacks to its back, courtesy of its osteoderms. Diplodocus Visual overhaul - No. I personally think the Diplo looks fine, though some might disagree. The Diplo is underutilized because it has no viability outside of hardcore RP servers and occasionally in PvP to push buried creatures to the surface. As the smallest sauropod in the game, it really out to offer more in terms of utility: A 10-second stun attack, utilizing its whip-like tail. The Diplo can't damage enemies, but that doesn't mean it can't have a means of escaping from attack. Even its dossier mentions that it will attempt to escape from predators after repeated attacks; this would give it a means of doing so. Owing to its friendly nature, the Diplo ought to have some sort of positive effect on allied dinos. With its species name, "Island Chieftain," it could provide a physical resistance buff to lower level allied creatures around it. Mammoth Visual overhaul - Yes. Recent creatures handle fur textures a lot better, and their base models are less clay-like. Not to mention, the mammoth is the only model with a photo-realistic anus. Its movement animations are also incredibly janky, especially when one looks at how elephants actually walk. The Mammoth needs its own role. The Anky and Doed are in a good spot only because they're the best at what they do, while the Mammoth faces competition with no unique features. Beavers generate dams in the wild and have a saddle smithy, Therizinos have an efficiency multiplier and are one of the few viable herbivore combat mounts, Thorny dragons shoot spikes and can destroy/harvest corpses as carnivores, and the Roll rat can carry multiple passengers and, well, roll. Most of the aforementioned also get a weight reduction on wood (even though the Mammoth gets a bigger reduction than most, it doesn't necessarily make it unique). Giving it a platform saddle would just intrude on the Paracer without giving the Mammoth much (not to mention awkward to carry with a Quetz and make it unable to ride rafts because of how platforms are coded). And ultimately, the Mammoth is an iconic animal - to be relegated to resource collection when other creatures so easily fulfill the role seems like a waste, especially since it was only given the role because no other creature in early access could harvest wood efficiently. I feel it would benefit from the following: Tusk attack works while moving; this allows it gather wood (and no berries) on the go and cover ground faster than the Beaver (The Better Mammoths mod did this and it works wonders). Use the Herbivores_Large tag; makes no sense that the Mammoth is attacked by Raptors when it's only a head shorter than the Paracer (Again, from Better Mammoths). Slight Hypothermal protection for the rider. Base health increase (850->1000). The much smaller Daeodon and Griffin have higher base Health and are tankier for it. The Mammoth is described in its dossier as being physically tough, so a Health buff wouldn't hurt. A trumpet that gives the Mammoth and surrounding allies a temporary movement speed and stamina regen buff; pairing a Mammoth with a Yutyrannus and a Daeodon would make for a desirable trio of combat support creatures. Adds the missing character that the Mammoth is missing. Megaloceros Visual overhaul - Yes. If you compare the Ovis to the Megaloceros, they look like they came from two completely different games. Let's try this: I've read conflicting things about the male Megaloceros and its ability to cause the "Bleed" effect. If it isn't working, it ought to be fixed. ARK doesn't have cows, but the female Megaloceros could provide a nice substitute during imprinting. For mammalian babies, keeping a female Megaloceros around would keep babies fed up until they hit the "Adolescent" stage. This would allow for players to log off without having to worry about their baby mammals starving overnight. Wild Megaloceros should be alert - if they detect a creature on an enemy team (wild carnivores or tamed creatures), they should immediately flee. It makes little sense for a cautious and defenseless animal to just let a Sabertooth, Wolf, or strange human run up to it. As a part of the alertness, Megaloceros could also be immune to stun attacks from Microraptor and Purlovia. Megalodon Visual overhaul - Yes. We know that WC can do fish a lot better than they used to. The Megalodon is overlooked compared to other ocean predators because of its smaller size and lesser damage output. Ideas include: Frenzy ability - The Megalodon gets a meter on its HUD similar to the Rhino and Giga. It fills up as the Megalodon attacks and kills creatures, draining slowly over time. The meter imparts speed, damage, and physical resistance buffs, making the Megalodon scary in close-quarters combat. This works surprisingly well as most wild creatures in the ocean are on the same team, meaning wild Megalodon are less likely to obtain the buff and become a threat to new players in the water. Base damage (40->50) and health (600->700) increase - let it be a real killing machine like its dossier suggests The Megalodon has a keen sense of smell, allowing it to detect weakened creatures from far away (exactly like the Dire Wolf). Mosasaurus Visual overhaul - Maybe. The Mosasaur appears very bloated and could benefit from a more streamlined appearance. As a "terror of the deep," the Mosa really doesn't live up to its name. Here's what it might benefit from: A secondary Devour attack - when an enemy creature is below 10% Health, using this on an applicable creature (drag weight 200 or less) will cause the Mosa to simply swallow it whole. The Mosa instantly restores Food and Health (equal to the amount of Health left on the creature) from this. Cooldown of 180 seconds. Its presence deters Leedsichthys from attacking nearby rafts, making raft bases viable again. Raft spam does become possible again, but requires a big and obvious Mosa to be nearby and fed. As Piranhas flee from Sarcos, so too do Eels and Cnidaria flee from Mosasaurus (unless attacked first or attacking an Ammonite). Deals extra damage to Tusoteuthis, à la Sperm Whale; makes fighting them on Mosas more of a fair fight seeing as the Tuso can grapple you. Onyc Visual overhaul - No. I think it looks fine, though I don't use them often so I'm unsure if I speak for the majority in thinking so. These scary bats look cool, but have little use because of how hard they are to control. Only a few minor buffs here due to their swarming capabilities: Onyc will perch upside-down from Catwalk or Ceiling Structures if there is space (also gives a unique purpose to Catwalks), rather than landing on the ground. While resting in this position, they will recover health more quickly. Shoulder-mountable, with a brief speed boost when thrown at a target. Pachycephalosaurus Visual overhaul - Yes. The poor little goat-dino needs all the love it can get, especially when its carnivore "equivalent," the Raptor, got some love. The Pachy's always been underpowered, so let's fix that with some new toys: Base damage (10->20) and base Health (175->220) increase Its species name is "Mild Warrior" - to play around with that, give it a temperature related buff; it hits harder, faster, and can take more punishment at higher temperatures, but becomes sluggish in the cold. These respective buffs and debuffs would be capped, with the maximum heat buff giving the Pachy the 1.5x greater damage output and speed (0.5x less damage and speed for the debuff). Non-linear charging; changing directions is a necessity for its viability. The Pachy can also destroy rocks while charging, yielding some sparkpowder (but less than if its stone and flint components were mined individually). Pelagornis Visual overhaul - Yes. Absolutely; we've all seen the new Argentavis; WC can give us a much better bird these days. A few items spring to mind to give Pelagornis a more unique niche: It passively generates small amounts of Silica Pearls in its inventory when left floating on water (filtered substrate in the water). Rider weaponry would provide a fantastic niche, as the Pelagornis would be the only Island-native flyer with the ability. Pelagornis traveling over water have increased speed (approximately 1.25x normal) but lose speed when flying over land (approximately 0.75x normal), allowing them to quickly circle the Island along the coast. Phiomia Visual overhaul - Yes. Compared to the virtually furless Daeodon, WC's modelers are much better these days, and as such the Phiomia could look less like it was modeled from clay. I've got a soft-spot for these early proboscideans, but their definite utility is as a farm animal and as the butt of our jokes. Here's what could help them: Option to cull the Phiomia for meat (much like the Ovis), with higher Health yielding more meat and even prime meat. An early-game way to farm meat before getting a large carnivore or progressing to mutton. Riding a Phiomia into battle ought to draw the attention of all enemy creatures to it for a moment (activated via RMB, functioning similar to the Pachyrhino's aggro pheromone and lasting 10 seconds) - acting as a quick distraction and sacrifice. Plesiosaur Visual overhaul - Yes. The poor thing was one of the first aquatic creatures released in EA - it looks somewhat cartoony in comparison now. Was unsure about this one, but here's what we've got: 3D movement, like the Tapejara - let it swim in any which direction it chooses by strafing; would make sense with the species name too. A secondary flipper attack, allowing it to better hit targets closer to its body. The Plesiosaur can now generate currents to launch itself forward rapidly at the cost of most of its Stamina; can be used to escape from situations like being grappled by a Tusoteuthis. Faster health regeneration and movement speed below a depth threshold, kind of like a reverse Basilosaurus. This buff makes the Plesi more useful in the deep ocean. Pulmonoscorpius Visual overhaul - No. I don't use them often though so I'm unsure if I speak for the majority in thinking so. The Pulmonoscorpius ought to be an organic alternative to tranq darts: Torpor is currently dealt as damage dealt * 3 over 10 seconds. Changing that x3 to x6 would make a world of difference (A hypothetical 50 wild level, 71 tamed level Melee Scorpion would deal 834 torpor per attack while dealing 139 damage - for comparison, 300% longneck tranq darts deal 663 torpor per shot while dealing 78 damage). The Scorpion might benefit from having a secondary pincer attack that also grants it the ability to hold a small creature (Drag weight of 100 of less) when held, like a less powerful Karkinos. A second torpor-dealing attack that deals Melee Damage % x 1500 torpor over 10 seconds, with a lengthy cool-down to prevent abuse - regular stinging attacks during this time would not deal torpor, as the Scorpion's poison glands are "drained." As Scorpions can't be imprinted, this wouldn't be able to reach insane numbers. (A hypothetical 50 wild level, 71 tamed level Melee Scorpion would deal 13899 torpor - enough to drop a wild 150 Paracer and anything else with lower base torpor; this still makes shocking darts required for tames like Gigas) - This attack would be performed by holding down the C key. Quetzalcoatlus Visual overhaul - Yes. We all know how WC blew us away with wyverns and how good their wings looked when SE came out. The Quetz can be better. The Quetz is honestly in a decent place as is, but here is a simple and useful addition to its kit: Flying above a certain altitude increases the Quetzal's flying speed, capping to a level comparable to that of a Pteranodon. Useful for those otherwise dreadfully long flights to farm metal from less resource-dense regions.

  11. You give us a Christmas event and In return we must pay for the rest of the last 4 weeks I would rather have 2x per weekend than just one week of 2x thx wildcard it's not like it takes much effort to turn 2x on
