WolfBrink
Figured I'd ask here since im not sure if I got really lucky, or if it's a standard. A few days ago I found a 145 male mega and tamed it. It tamed with 348 mele. 20 minutes later I found a 145 female mega and it tamed out with 343 mele. I feel like all I need now is a HP mega of either gender, and for them to fix the breeding and I'll have some good ones! On official btw.
Slappy
I think you got lucky. The highest one we got was 339 melee and that after five 140+ tames
BaldBudgie
348% melee is decent. As comparrison my highest ever melee is 378% (on a allosaurus) before that a 374-377% rex. Before that a 366% bear. Before that a 348% tuso. Wich btw also had a base HP on 33k
AdligerAdler
I guess you got lucky. Tamed a 145 mega female during 3x event. Perfect mutton tame but came out with only 306 melee and it had 7478 health and was lvl 214.
iAmE
That's pretty solid. Not amazing, but above average for sure. 400+ is generally when you are talking about one in a thousand. We got the opposite. 8.4k HP, 8.8k HP and then 9k (I tamed that one, surprisingly, it was a 125 pretame).
MirageUK
I believe my first mega - a wild 135 perfect Raw Mutton tame - is more rounded. I don' t know the percentage but based on the post tame points in wild stats I have the following
BaldBudgie
I have to say this. It doesnt matter if its a spino, a dodo or a megalosaurus. % is % and you got equal chance og getting a % of damage no matter the tame. So you can compare it to any other dinos damage % wise. Except the odd ones like wyverns, gigas and rock drakes.
MirageUK
@BaldBudgie- Can you please clarify what point you are making there? Melee is a % of the BASE damage, which differs by animal. The OP asked if, based on odds, his taming has been lucky with the stats that he came out with for Melee. I know my post doesn't answer either but I wanted to show what I had on mine as a somewhat loose comparison.
bigfishrob
my ally has a 357 melee, and we have a 9k hp we are trying to get it combined, just hasnt happened yet.
Atrophical
You do have to remember, ANY Abberant Named Dino on this map will tend to have better stats than anything tamed on other maps. Hence why you can’t bred an abberant with normal mega on any other map. Those melee stats are good for sure for an abberant.

MirageUK
@BaldBudgie- I get ya. So regardless of animal as others have said it's quite a nice (lucky) starting stat for the post tame Melee stat.

Your 265% melee is about 23-24 points, not 33 as 33 is 319.9%.

When a creature is tamed, it gains bonuses applied onto certain stats and since Dododex is a WILD stats calculator, it extract these bonuses as points while they are not. MirageUK
@RaiderofthelostARK I used ARK-Tools to extract JSON output from Abberration_P.ark - only works if you have access to the world save which I do since it's an unofficial server I rent. https://github.com/Qowyn/ark-tools/releases
