Community Crunch 409: Introducing Xiphactinus from ARK:Additions!

I knew Xiph would be the one to join cerato, as it's the only one out of all the 10 that's going to be a 1:1 conversion (safe for the variant which is not coming to base game  ). Anyway, happy to see what to expect next week (assuming it doesn't get delayed).

The Xiph an interesting pick to say the least, it should make traveling the ocean much easier during the mid-game. I can’t wait to see it come to the main game! On the other side I was hoping for the other pick to be Deinosuchus but beggars can’t be choosers. 

Please fix the Oasisaurus Building lag .

That would be the best move for Wild Card, even though I personally don’t like the spider many people do and it would pull many in. However, I do like to see the Diamantino, Sivatherium, or Eocharia in the main game, all have such cool concepts and abilities.

Let it come out as a mod 1st, the current one is not based on the one in the vote, there are plans in the works to many many of the vote creatures that lost into mods

That makes a lot of sense of what you’re saying but the biggest comparison that came to my mind is with UpFromTheDepths Ledumahadi for Paleo Ark. Once it comes I hope Wild Card might add it eventually to the game, it can be a lovely addition to Scorched Earth along with the Fasalo. However, the main reason why I want Ledu is because it would be a “collab” with UpFromTheDepth who would own ownership still. In addition, he is a very talented and deserving person who has played Ark for what feels like decades now.

I can assure you that the majority of the community would NOT want something like this. One of the biggest points of praise I've heard over the years for Ark is that all of their paid DLC actually feels like it's worth the money, and adding micro transactions for any element of the game would only work to tarnish that and make the community upset. At that point you may as well charge players for every fifteen minutes of playtime in the game.

the archelon is really cool imo and if it's gotta be one that's already a mod I'd like that next, but I can't wait to see the garugopteryx or the suchomimus

It is no longer a survival game that point, why not just join a boosted server and save your money?!

Love how they are going to take someone else's creatures, mods, and tweak them to their liking, which means, they will screw them up and be no where close to what the author intended then to be.

WC is literally making me not want to touch this stupid pos game anymore. They’re adding horrible dinos for no fkn reason. Nobody even uses he Xiphactinus mod yet they’re adding another stupidly aggressive ocean Dino just to make the ocean even worse. Clowns.
