The launch of Scorched Earth and Bob's Tall Tales is right around the corner and we've put together a guidebook to help you prep for the desert wasteland.  We'll update this post with relevant information as we progress through the launch!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to pay for Scorched Earth?
    • Answer: No, Scorched Earth is included in ARK: Survival Ascended. If you own ARK: Survival Ascended, you automatically have access to the map.
  • If I do not own Bob's Tall Tales can I still play on Scorched Earth Servers with my friends?
    • Answer: Yes! You do not need to own Bob's Tall Tales to play on any servers that have Bob's Tall Tales content
  • Do I need to do anything special to enable Bob's Tall Tales on my server?
    • Answer: No, Bob's Tall Tales has been baked into the core game so no changes are necessary

We're going live with the latest content. However, Official Servers are going to remain offline until we have resolved an issue that prevents players from being able to transfer specifically on servers where Character Downloads are enabled, but Item Downloads are disabled. We recommend Unofficial servers that are using the same setup wait for the new server as well. Our currently ETA is approximately 1.5 hours~.

We've just deployed a new type of server across the network (for the various game types) that we'll be referring to as "Expire" (which is what you can search for in the session filter). 

These servers will be online until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st. We're preemptively using our allocation for The Center to host some additional sessions that players can travel onto to farm, tame, and experience the Scorched Earth Gameplay. The same transfer restrictions apply in that you are only able to download your character, but you can freely take anything off. This is to help reduce load off some of the other servers, or provide players an option for those who just want to jump onto Scorched Earth temporarily.

Please note that these servers will no longer exist after 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on June the 1st, so if you intend to use them remember to transfer your items/creatures/characters off before that date as nothing will be saved beyond that time period.
