  1. I play on ps5.. and every time I try to play I get really frustrated and give up and stop playing.. I ry to download a map because I don’t like the island map and then I can’t download any of the other mods I want and even with out another map there is not enough memory to download the mods I want.. it honestly makes me not want to play. I can’t even get into any of my friends servers because they have different mods then my single player mode.. it’s soo frustrating.. so iv been playing other games..i can hardly download anything I want..I wish you could just open it up more and give more memory… like double what it is now..maybe even triple.. especially when fancy new creatures come out and all the building stuff I can’t even use it.. I feel like I wasted my money on a game I don’t even want to play.. it’s just soo frustrating to me..I’d really like to play it but everything just doesn’t work..

  2. Everything takes too long from taming to farming and even mating when there is no event the way the game is being designed makes it so you basically have to make Ark your life to survive or compete with any of the Alpha's we already did that on the first Ark maybe make it more competitive make it so people can breed, farm and raise quicker 3x should be the normal speed and during events should be 5x-6x.

  3. With the upcoming ASA update of Scorched Earth I'm proposing to include some additional Biomes as a GIFT to the player base. Here are some ideas and hope Wild Card can include this, fingers crossed. ☺️ Death Valley / Bone Yard / Graveyard Biome Tar Pits Biome (has Toxic gasses and Tarpit traps) Geyser Fields Biome Underground Ruined City Biome Baobab Tree Biome with Dragon Blood Trees (similar to Redwood Biome but a desert version) Sand Pits and Sand Falls Quicksand Biome (Imagine Sand Hour Glass)

  4. As far as I'm concerned, I'm very excited with this upcoming new possibility. I never use mods on my dedicated server, not even the official event ones, for several reasons. To be able to install skins, and other cosmetic stuff, only client side, without having to install mods on a server, is very interesting and a great change IMHO. I'm sad and tired that each time devs announce something, it's instantly trashed by some people.

  5. I understand the need for and the benefits of the new cryopod nerfs for PVP but for PVE they are just painful and irritating. We now have small cryo-base spam around every cave, every POI - some tribes are able to release their dinos inside caves (those who built in strategic spots where their cryofridge radius clips into the cave below) but most are not. That means there are 2 tiers of player, those who can easily farm loot drops and artifacts in caves, and those who cannot. It's simply not fair and creates a lot of toxicity on some official PVE servers. There are very few benefits to the new system in PVE as they are actually playing out and big downsides. It creates needless frustration and a feeling of unfairness. I know this has caused players I know to return to ASE and they won't be the first, it's such a shame. Please revert cryos to the old system on PVE. Ty.

  6. The “destroywildDino’s” command before”saveworld” no longer works. I’ve tried everything, I have noticed most of the time my game doesn’t save is when I’m flying, coincidence? IDK Just an observation. i can fly around the map, come back to my base log out and be right back at base before that flight, then I can get on my Thyla ride around for an hour go back to base and log out and all is where it should be, I’ve tested this several times. I know nothing about game mechanics but it happens every time. I love this game but am afraid to play because loosing 5 hours of building, breeding and imprinting was harsh. PLEASE wildcard help us single player console Ark lovers out for a change, we paid the same as everyone else yet it seems our issues are not as important to you as PVP PC players. xBox ASA reviews will show you just how many people are having an issue with this SAVE BUG.

  7. Okay but would be better with different tiers of airships like ff9 airships or something

  9. Hi All / Ark Team The way the cryo pods are working at the moment are disastrously ruining the game for many, people are now not only spamming pillars but 2 foundations with a generator and Cryo fridge, also some tribes can unfairly spawns tames in to cave where others cannot giving them a clear game advantage. Also now players just leave there tames at the cave blocking the entrance, this was clearly not thought out before it was put in the game.

  10. On official servers the 1x rate is incredibly slow, to the point that the game has most players minimally logging in until the next event or micro-managing their time and it's difficult to enjoy hatching and rearing. Wildcard has also continually had to address this issue, and "eventually" increases rates as players leave, or complain. On ASA official, our issues are performance based, predominantly, with horrific rubber banding, frame drop, crashes, lag, etc - and ethical with players exploiting pve for pvp like tactics, like theft, turning off generators, kiting dinos to other players bases, pillaring, and blocking entrances. Adding 1x causes all of this to be a bit overwhelming, and it feels like Ark has become a "full time job" and not a game. Even in huge 8 hour stints on the game, I find myself with having to cryo juvenilles and babies over the course of days, and having very annoyed friends and family and co-workers at my constant worrying about "feeding the dinos". It's embarrassing. But also humiliating. As I've paid money and unwittingly joined during a turkey and Christmas event phase to start my ark experience, I feel duped. For perspective I'm a design lead and am examining my experince from UX and data perspectives. The time requirements as a single player who lost two tribemates post holiday events, are a bit overwhelming. It currently takes over a week to raise a single dinosaur. Is ark planning on supplementing my income or hiring me to play their game? Or should I log off permanently and keep my job and social relationships? I am confused as a responsible adult why a game thats supposed to be fun, is so punishing to mine and others time? Is there anyone at Wildcard that can explain the logic behind 1x as official rates? That why a single person should spend two to three hours just gathering metal to make a 4th of what we were previously? That why a single saddle blueprint being made once requires 20 to 40 hours of real world time to gather for? I'm unable to attract new tribe mates under these conditions or have the prior tribemates return. I have a reasobaly sized friend base in gaming, and not a single one of them is willing to play this game on official in its present state. "I do not have the time to spend on official servers, until wildcard changes its rates permanently" was the general feedback of the 41 people who did respond to me personally. I look forward to your response, insights and explanations about 1x rates. Tl:dr In short the 1x rate is not that enjoyable. Of the 70 people on server NA official 5258, no one is enjoying it and I was repeatedly told "wildcard doesn't care. They always do this and then eventually raise rates. Just cryo everything and log in once a week and log back out until events like us". Thanks for listening.

  11. Every dlc also came with a new map, multiple new dinos, new mechanics, and a new boss, this is just a cosmetic pack with a seemingly OP dino added in to incentivize people to buy it, and it's extra awkward because it's going to be on a map everyone owns, and people who dont own the dlc most likely won't be able to tame or interact with it.

  12. it seems that WC created this game for people who have no life outside of the game not caring about all the normal people and then are surprised that they came close to failure

  13. Official rates are ridiculous. I can't imagine trying to tame something with high torpor drain without at least a tame speed boost.

  15. The Not-so-Great Basilo Hunt I found my otter, Misty, on top of the kibble fridge. She was knitting a red scarf, presumably for the upcoming holiday event. The crimson definitely worked with her dark brown fur. “You want to try one more time for a Basilo?” I asked. She looked thoughtful for a moment, put her knitting stuff down in a neat pile, and leaped gracefully onto my shoulder. “I’m guessing that’s a yes?” I asked. She nodded, ate the chunk of fish I was offering, and we were off to the beach. My megalodon, Spork, had to wriggle his way out of the shallows again and wasn’t too happy when I asked if he had gained weight. To get me back, he did an unexpected barrel roll when we were in slightly deeper water. I resurfaced with a coughing fit and seaweed in my hair. Misty snorted with laughter and then began picking out the green bits. And brimming with the hope of finding a high level whale, we slowly submerged, leaving the sounds of the surface world behind. We were almost around the entire island, and the highest Basilo I had seen was level 90. To top everything off, the game crashed when we were nearing base. It was at this time that I realized I had not saved recently, because we were all back at the halfway point of our journey. Grumpy, I got on Spork and we began speeding home, saving every now and then. Once back at base, I parked Spork, went inside, and tried to put Misty back on the fridge. Only, there was no Misty to put back on the fridge. I had forgotten to grab her after we spawned back in. “Son of a &$!%@.” I ran up the stairs with an uneasy feeling in my gut. On the roof, Ewe watched me hurry over, cocking her head slightly in concern. I hopped on, and we launched into the sky, heading north. It took me a little while to figure out the tracking thing. I didn’t realize the PoI option, or whatever it’s called, was what you needed to click to get a directional beacon. Thankfully, we found Misty safe and sound. She was on an inflatable, orange and yellow Dodo, sipping a Piña colada, and knitting what appeared to be the same scarf she was working on before. That’s when I heard the Twilight Zone music… [I think it might be time for a dino wipe. Have fun all.]

  16. You can do your little passive-aggressive facepalms all you want, the facts are the facts and Shi Hai has said what he's said. If you want to be "excited" about microtransactions that's certainly your choice, I guess you like it when game companies nickel & dime you to death.

  17. That's technically true, but also meaningless. They haven't officially announced it (yet), but anyone who thinks this isn't coming down the road is wearing blinders. This is the future of ARK that Shi Hai is working towards, just because there's no "Confirmation" as of this date doesn't mean anything. We already know what he wants for the future, the only questions are how how fast, and how much? Shi envisions a future where everything is on the table, including players selling in-game assets to each other (like creatures breed for boss fights) using RMT's (real money transactions) and by embedding blockchain/NFT's into the ARK system it will become possible for Snail to get a cut of those RMT's. Shi doesn't see RMT's as a form of cheating, he doesn't want to prevent it, his long term goal is to encourage RMT's just as long as Snail can harvest extra profits from it when it happens. For example, Shi Hai said: “However, at Snail Games, we believe that we have now reached an era of WEB 3.0, and the ownership of digital assets is the most important issue for our fellow users.” "Plus there’s the question of monetizing content, one of the benefits blockchain brings to the Web3 table." "NFTs are part of that puzzle." Anyone who wants to build blockchain and NFT's into a game is not doing it to benefit the players. He pretends that this is for the benefit of content creators, but if you read interviews or watch the videos at conferences when he speaks, it's painfully easy to read between the lines and see that what he really cares about is WC/Snail getting a cut from everything exchanged between players. His goal is to commoditize and monetize every possible player-to-player transaction you can imagine. This has been publicly available knowledge for quite some time now and lack of "Confirmation" doesn't change the underlying truth. https://venturebeat.com/games/snail-games-chairman-talks-property-rights-in-the-metaverse-at-gamesbeat-summit/

  18. This is the next step in Snail Games goal to commoditize and monetize every aspect of ARK. Shi Hai (the CEO of Snail Games, which for all intents and purposes owns WildCard) doesn't think of ARK as a game, he thinks of it as a platform with multiple different ways to make money, most of which don't involve trying to make a better game. 1) Premium mods - instead of WildCard having a sponsored mods program that costs them money, which is what they used to do, mod makers have the chance to sell their mods to other players... and WIldCard/Snail get a cut. 2) Cosmetic packs from WIldCard/Snail - really just microtransactions, but they don't want to admit it's micro transactions. Starting with the very first pack that's coming out with Scorched Earth there's going to be a creature that players can only get by buying the pack. To anyone who's paying attention that's not really cosmetic anymore, it's a new creature that looks like it will give players an advantage for owning. They're starting to test how much people will complain if they sneak P2W features into their "cosmetic" packs... and WildCard/Snail gets all the money from it. If this pack sells well enough you can be certain there will be more important "content" in the future that can only be owned by buying future "cosmetic" packs. 3) Player created content - whether it's just a costume or some other form of "endless client-side functionality" this is WildCard getting players to do work that WildCard/Snail will make money from, disguised as supporting creators. People create stuff and sell it on the ARK platform... and WildCard/Snail gets a cut. 4) Eventually, somewhere down the road, Shi Hai (CEO of Snail Games) has said that he wants to introduce NFT's into ARK which would allow players, for example, allow players to breed and sell creatures to other players. And since every single creature will have a unique blockchain-based identifier... WildCard/Snail will get a cut. You know how WildCard pretends that they care about players selling creatures to each other for real money? They don't really care, they just want to get a piece of the action when it happens. The changes that are coming to ARK are all about turning ARK into a platform that "allows" people to create and sell things to each other... and WIldCard/Snail will get a cut. Of everything.
