  1. Another fun day on Valguero. Spent most of the day breeding, been a while since I have done alot of breeding. Todays project was to breed up some Deinonychus and Stegos, the deinos to have some fun in various boss fights on the Island and maybe even in the Valguero arena, and the stegos in preparations for taking on Rockwell. I did have a quick scout about for Aberrant Stegos on Val and Ab but in the end I couldnt be bothered with that and ended up using the standard stegos we had on the Center. Grabbed the stegos I could find and took them to Val to work on combining them, ended up with 3 females and a male with all the stats. Worked on combing the deinos at the same time, got all the stats into 3 females and 2 males, I decided to have two males so we could have a selection of colours. Spent the rest of the day hunting for a Deinonychus saddle bp, we have two apprentice bps but I was hoping for better. Hunted far and wide for all purple drops and above, but no luck at all. Had a few close calls with a few drops, including when I hoped of my drake to get a red drop and was instantly stunned by a purlovia, nearly had a heart attack.

  2. Not played for ages. Loaded the game last night first time in weeks. Sat in the base for 35 minutes trying to figure out what to do. Closed game. I may return when something interesting happens but as it stands I have done everything in game so much I'm just bored with it. Started over again on another game NMS on Xbox and for now that's what I will be playing alongside MHW. Might pop back occasionally to read this thread as it keeps me entertained. Hope everyone has a great day. See you all again sometime. ?

  3. EU-PVP-Official-[REDACTED] It's been a quiet week on the mountain. Raiders tried their luck a couple of times, but losses were minimal. I'm satisfied that my base designs are at least up to the job of fending off the dumb ones, so now all I have to worry about are the smart, well-prepared, technologically superior attackers. Hmm. Currently working on a second backup base in the snow biome. The snow is my white whale, and by thunder it will be tamed like a whale. Celebration mid-week when Kimiko the Sabertooth reached her 24-hour anniversary, becoming the longest serving dino in the squad! The old girl eventually bought the farm at 26/27 hours, and will be remembered as a shining inspiration by future generations of cannon fodder.

  5. A productful day on Ark. Started off pottering around base before hoping across to Extinction to hit up a few Element Veins for dust to transfer across to Valguero to craft up element, wanted to craft up a Tek Replicator. After a brief panic search for my prized gigas (turns out they were on Ragnarok) I grabed a cryoed giga and went out in search for an vein on my managarmr. I ended up taking on two 10k element veins, an absolute breeze on my giga. It was just a bit of a drag, each wave took forever. The corrupted creatures had a habit of getting lost. But I completed them both and got the element. A quick conversion of the element into dust at the city terminals before transferring most of the dust to Valguero. Returned to Valguero and grabed a basilo and went hunting for black pearls in the deep under water cave. Success, came out with more than enough. Gathered all the resources for a replicator into a ravager, just in time for a beacon to come down near by our base. Got to the beacon and crafted up the replicator. Went back to base and installed the replicator. We have now official hit Tek Tier., I cant wait to start crafting up tek gennys and teleporters.

  6. Finally managed to release the test map on a server and currently doing a dry run of the damn thing. Feel free to come face the elements with us! https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/ark/4245377 Closed it until the next batch of fixes is in. Server is in PvP hardcore-mode, just to up the stakes a bit. Here is a quick list of known issues : - Ice related engrams don't show up, but the resources are available. - Frostbite icon (not the final icons btw) does shows up as planned but the mechanics didn't followed... - Overspawn of sky drops. - Icebergs mesh is whacky.... - Combat musics / amb sounds didn't followed.... Most issues are related to the PrimalGameData_BP that for some reason didn't followed the map when I cooked it.

  7. Valguero - Private Xbox Cluster Returned to work on my fort renovation. After a few attempts, I was able to perfectly align by eye the foundations with a door entrance which were then sunken into the ground to allow maximum head space. The ground floor, lengthways from doorway to doorway is slightly over 20 foundations leaving a tiny gap that you can’t get into so it’s bare noticeable. I tried to build walls up to see if they were level with the other floors but they weren’t unfortunately. Instead, I placed a ceiling off a wall at the closest point to the ground, then placed a pillar inside and snapped a foundation off the pillar. While the new foundation isn’t snapped to the wall, it’s still perfectly aligned with it. Sunk those foundations down on that floor and moved on. The idea is to get each floor aligned with the one below so it looks snapped. Due to the rubble on the ground floor, I placed a perimeter wall around it (6x6) then ceilined of the top, followed by stair ramps off the walls. Placed a tek replicator on top and the core stone structure blueprints e.g. foundation, wall, ceiling, pillar, into the replicator for instant stone structures. I had already built a teleporter here so I farm all materials at my emerald forest base with the help from a Karkinos, and then teleport my Doedy and Theri when required. Before I started picking up my thatch foundations that I used to map out the area, I estimated that I’d need 1000 max foundations for this project, but I was wrong... I need way more than that.

  8. Whohoo! I tamed my first solo tame on the ARK... a lvl 25 Dodo. Started a new Official server and as I've only played Prim+ before with friends, I needed to get dinos from scratch. Usually we all go and tame stuff together, so I had to it all by myself for once. Tonight, I'm going to get a raptor off the beach as the base it built now, behemoth game and a garage on the side for my dinos. Decided to leave my Prim+ server for a few days as I kind of lost interest for now. Enjoyed starting from scratch even if I was constantly hounded by high lvl Theris and Spinos haha

  9. I had a frustrating day yesterday. First time I played since the patch. I've always had memory issues and crashes, but yesterday was a bad day... it crashed every 15 tot 30 minutes and what was worse: when I reloaded I was back at the point before those 15-30 minutes. So I ended up doing the same stuff up to 4 times before I finally got to play for about an hour. In the end I managed to do a crystal run in the lower south cave, and I've build another fridge and 2 greenhouse roofs. That's about it. I also noticed that at least 2 of my little outposts have completely vanished. So today and the next few days will be all about checking my other outposts and start rebuilding them if they are gone. I'm single player so it might take a while. Let's hope it will not crash so often again. Positive note: I managed to kill a Therizino! Me so happy. Those damn things are my biggest nightmare so far - aside of troodons. Until yesterday an encounter with such one was a sure recipe for a quick death. I shot it with my bow from the roof of my base and my 2 pteranodons rushed to help and killed the ugly level 5-ish thing. I gave those 2 a nice extra stack of meat afterwards

  10. This is yesterday, not today as sadly I can't play much during the week: First I put up 4 S+ item collectors around our egg farm. Sadly we're not currently able to generate large quantities of propellant but I had enough for the day mainly to test it out. Very convenient, will be happy to have those doing all the annoying egg pickup work, especially around the small animals. I rarely use mod items, but given that none of my 4-man tribe has a lot of daily play time anymore, I'm doing my best to upgrade the utility of what we already have so we spend less time maintaining the city and more time doing whatever it is we want to do. I then continued my hunt for the elusive unicorn and/or high level horse. I tamed one level 10 equus on Saturday just to test it out and I decided I really like them. They have a fair amount of utility and can travel long distances swiftly. Kicking annoying things in the face is always fun too. I saw someone trying to tame a 130 rex and having a hard time of it, so I lured it down the volcano river to the server's public hatchery and taming pen and got him in there. It took awhile, but we got it done. And off again to look for horses. It took quite a long time but I eventually came across a 145 male equus. The only problem was it was pretty far out from home base, none of my tribemates were on, and there were a lot of problematic animals in the area. I took down as many as I could and while doing so, the horse got himself stuck between a couple of small trees. My lucky day! After waffling for awhile I took the chance, jumped on his back and started shoving kibble in his mouth. He did get unstuck and ran wild, but thank the Arks for large mounts with low ground clearance. He kept getting stuck under my spino Korotangi's belly. She was unimpressed with the whole affair, but waited patiently until the successful tame. So thankful you don't need the saddle to mount, it was an easy ride home. Ride the horse, put the spino on follow and let her dispatch anything in the way. We made it home safely. I never name a fresh tame until its safely inside the walls. Named him Talal, after a character in a book I recently read. Threw a saddle on Talal, left Korotangi at home and went off to go exploring a bit. Sadly, a stupid bird stole the rest of my kibble (enough for 2 more max level equus) so I went back to the public hatchery to restock, as it has a few small groups of rare/annoying to tame animals for anyone to collect eggs from. Got enough for a 150 and was heading home when disaster struck. Microraptors ambushed us in that one small strip of river by the volcano where they spawn. The commotion attracted dilos and troodons. Being stunned, all I could do was watch my new horse get attacked, didn't even have any level points invested in him yet. Crap. Eventually I died, respawned in the city and grabbed the closest spino I could find--my tribemates' Rogue. Sprinted all the way back to the river from Weathertop and saved Talal, but only just barely. Whew. Gave him a few minutes to regen a little bit while I collected my gear, started home and got hit by microraptors a second time. Thankfully Rogue was having none of that and got rid of the little buggers. I almost lost Talal a second time when passing between the edge of the redwood and the swamp, when we got attacked again but Rogue was just a little too far away to "see" the attack and help, had to go ride back to him. That was scary. By the time we made it back into the safety of the city gates again, I was done for the day. It was too close to an event from the patch when gallis were first released. I tamed one, took it out for a test ride and it got stuck in some rocks/trees and was hit in the crossfire of a wild rex vs. bronto, died before I could even chop down the tree she was stuck on. And unlike the galli, the horse is actually useful, so I want to hold onto Talal. He doesn't have any standout stats but he'll do well enough as he is. Just far away from micoraptors.
