Golden Giga is still wandering the Highlands, taunting me. She will be mine! Anyway, didn't do much this weekend. Got another server, so we could go back to the Island and built a small outpost. Moved one Doed, Theri, and Mammoth over to the outpost for the construction that's about to take place. Walked two of my Rex's over for security purposes. Going to establish our main base on a huge platue right across from the redwoods. Hopefully, I'll get some time after work to build. B is supposed to start building the perimeter wall tomorrow, and T is going to start construction on our water base off Herbivore Island.

We had a busy weekend. We spent it working on the base upgrade. While its far from finished it is functional and we have started moving into it. It has 5 "rooms". one is for cooking, one is storage, one is the "living area" and barracks, the center is crafting and one has not been determined, current thoughts are to put shoulder mounts, dung beetles and snails into it along with overflow storage. The plant x are temporary until we finish the center area. So current plans. 1. Make ramps up to each of the dino gates with maybe an elevator to one of them. 2. All areas without a roof are going to be extended 4 more walls high with s+ glass walls and a glass ceiling. There will be a floor above this that will be turned into a green house 3. The top of each of the current enclosed rooms will be used as an aviary for birds 4. Extend the base walls around the new building 5. Demolish the old base 6. Enclose the pillars and turn under the base into stalls for kibble dinos I'm sure ill think of more but this is enough for a few weeks, lol. Our biggest progress limit now is crystal for the s+ glass walls and ceilings. We haven't found a huge concentrated source of crystal yet but we are going to keep looking. I'll probably extend my crystal search to aberration as well

Yesterday was a gamers' paradise. Got all day to myself and got a lot done. I kept a short list that ill just throw in (whats with ark forums not liking copy+paste from notepad?) My main theme was base expansion. I went over to my Rag SP and farmed up over 20 gates, demolished gates at my SP island for the other 10 or so and surrounded my new location at Drayo's Cove with behemoth gates. I wanted a big base where I wouldnt have to worry about expanding any time soon. I think I accomplished that, one side of the gate wall the other side isnt rendered Now for the chronological list. -Went to rag and transferred a bunch of utility dinos, plus all my SE dinos - Started with building a storage platform with attached dock, open air plan with a ceiling uptop for fliers etc (8x12x8h) - Breeding pen with 12 hidden AC (later made 10 fridges) Small wall to make green Ob safe to store, foundationed spawn Brought an anky to blue ob, made a small outpost. Mined a bunch of metal/crystal/ob and continued to do so every few hours. Saving up for a forge. Hopped over to Rag, downloaded more dinos including breeding theriz, vulture army, caving mount, frog, some other random tames then went on a paste run at beaver dams. Transferred more items and blueprints etc. Back on island, made two tree platforms and sap taps. Spawn bed & boxes added to bedhop sap. Transferred over dung beetle, a bee, more items. I had a load of theriz eggs and some angler gel so made some theri kibble on rag to get a basil for my island soon. Loaded up all my boss tames and saddles from island SP. Also had a few spare artifacts and almost two sets for alpha ape. (Minus one set) Back on island crafted up a bunch of poly, did another metal run (only 2x harvest) and made an industrial forge. Back at base made a pen for my jerboa, vultures and organized all my dinos. Grabbed some plantx and made turrets all over. Went to green ob and downloaded all 18 theriz, saddled them up and placed cliff platforms around green ob to extend my boss area. The cliffs I just spawned in. Killed a glitched titan under green ob with lightning wyvern and flame arrows and got level 92 Sorry for the jumbled mess. Ill probably edit it later to clean it up

Short but productive day today. Did a little gathering. Then I grabbed all of the non boss rex from the rex factory and brought them back to the main base just so we have one less place to go feed. After that we started work on the base upgrade and managed to get the outter "foundation" finished. I use quotes because its elevated so their actually ceilings. Decided to build it outside the pen so we dont take up dino space, and Ill extend the walls around it once done. Its 18x18 and underneath will be great to store all our kibble dinos. We plan on getting on later tonight to continue the build, i hope to have the floor finished by the end of the weekend. But it may be a week or 2 before its all finished. It will look similar to this when finished, only bigger and more elaborate, and made out of stone and glass

T, B, and I logged on today, fed our dinos on Rag, and headed for our new Island server. T and B enjoyed flying around reminiscing for a few minutes before going to work. B ran the Mammoth down into the forest for wood, while T and I gathered stone and crafted materials for our perimeter wall. Somehow, B managed to wander all the way to the volcano and run right into a Giga... Rip Mammoth. Picked up B, and dropped him off at Carno Island to think about what he'd done. T and I continued working while B built a raft and escaped. He managed to work his way back to our base, (resourceful punk) shot us both with tranq arrows, and after a brief scuffle, we laughed it off and continued working. Managed to build quite a few materials and we all logged after a few hours.

Tame up a 135 male otter for someone that wants a pair. Now if I can find that level or higher female I'm golden!

Built a tower and used it to tame a lowbie carno, then used my better trike and my pair of mate-boosted carnos to kill a diplo that had been bothering us. Got lots of prime and now I’m ready for bigger tames!

For about a month now; on and off I’ve been trying to tame a Hyaenodon to with no luck. I have looked up different strategies, different types of taming pens, and I even took recommendations from people on the forums. Nothing worked. I would try each strategy for hours and gain nothing but wasted time. The closest I ever came was getting 77% tamed before it noticed me and it dropped back down to 11% like it always dies. Ironically I did this without a taming pen. I think I’m ready to throw in the towel on Hyaenodon. It’s not like the Gigantopithecus that doesn’t notice you unless you’re directly in front of it and doesn’t turn more than 90degrees at a time. The Hyaenodon noticed me at every possible angle if I got an inch too close and was turning in 180, 270 and 360 degree angles. I’m wearing a ghillie suit and everything. It’s not that great of a tame in the first place, which I understand, but I was really hoping to be able to tame every animal in Ark. Anyway after this disappointing realization I decided to challenge myself to remind myself that I’m actually somewhat good at this game. I went out and found a level 145 female Spinosaurus and knocked her out. I intentionally went a bit underprepared. Any leedsicthys as a source of prime fish meat was too far away to fly and get in any reasonable amount of time. The 300 Nacotics I brought didn’t last me long so I ended up needing to fly over to the nearby Outpost Alpha to use the Trike there to gather some Narcoberries. I used these Narcoberries as a cushion as I continued to hunt for prime meat and to gather Narcoberries by hand. I managed to finish the tame with pretty good taming effectiveness, which has never happened to me before with other spinosaurus I’ve tamed. I’ve just had bad spino luck. This one will definitely be my strongest. I decided to name her Durga, after the Hindu warrior Goddess. Durga and Nightingale were both names recommended to me by friends, but I went with Durga because I figured Nightingale would be good for so many other animals. Excellent. That makes +1 for my boss fighting squad! It was a needlessly difficult tame, but I got out of it unscathed and with a level 208 Spino. At the time, though that wasn’t what was on my mind. While I was taming Durga I saw multiple likely candidates for my boss fighting squad as well, namely two level 130 Allosaurus with a level 135 as their pack Alpha and two level 140 Therizinosaurus (though I only plan to tame one because heater both males, they take forever and a half to tame, and so long as I get one of them I’ll have a mating pair back home.) once I saw these guys I saw another opportunity to challenge myself, but this time I could not afford to go in unprepared. I went back to base on my bird, Cloud, and had Durga follow me. I then collected Narcoberries and crafted up 300 tranq arrows plus 1000 spare Narcotics. I flew back to where I tamed Durga and decided to go for the Therizinosaurus first since that would by far take the. Longest time to tame. I managed to knock it out, only dying once. I then put 300 Mejoberries in it and went off to knock out one of the Allosaurus. After much tribulation, and one break to go and feed the Theri narcotics I had downed the pack Alpha, not bothering to separate it from the others, though that did make it take over a hundred arrows to knock out. I then hinted some prime meat, put it in the Allosaurus, went back to the Therizinosaurus to check on it, and then went after the second pack member. My first Allo actually woke up tamed before I succeeded in knocking out the second. She was blood red and a female, so I named her Seres (not sure who understands that reference). Knocking out the second allo and checking on my Theri is about as far as I’ve gotten. The third pack member is currently MIA but I’ll find it. Don’t u worry.

After an absolute crap couple of days it was great to chill out, relax and destress on Ark for a bit. Decided to sod it and treat myself to my first griffin tame on this server. Started out by scouting out the griffin spawns on ptera back first. The first griffin I found was a 135 hanging around the Ivory Crags which was fantastic. Hightailed it back to base quickly and crafted up the structures to build up a griffin trap. Loaded up the argy and ptera on to the taming raft for transport and sailed round to the crags. Took the argent to one of the crag pillars and started construction. Had a slight hiccup when I placed the stone dino gate wrong because I was distracted and not paying attention so had to scrape together enough resourses for another one using only a pick. Flew back to the raft to swap the argent out for the ptera. Lured the griffin using the ptera into the trap. Had some difficulty due to slight framerate issue which turned out to be a base nearby which I completely missed hidden away in the corner. Anyway trapped and downed the griffin and flew back to the raft to swap out the ptera for the argent. Farmed up prime meat from wild argents and hyaenadons, and tamed the griffin. Got back to the raft, sailed back home and called it a night. Now I have a griffin I could probably start wyvern egg hunting but will probably need to do much more prep, such as building an incubator (no where near that yet) and maybe even a trap. Would be even nice to tame a spare griffin for this too. But thats for later lol.

I love ark! And congratz on the 3 years. Yet i find it very sad that there are soooo many bugs,low hit marks or other things ruining the game

Three years and still a broken game

Go figure, I'm quitting the game on Arks birthday. *looks at my four unanswered tickets for months* Our server was destroyed by cheaters and Wildcard did nothing despite probably 50 tickets being put in over a 2-3 month period from many people. Whole server is gone, even the newbies. Yeah, happy birthday. I'm out. Let me know when you wanna give justice.

feels like a 10 year old game where devs have scattered onto their next projects and servers are being run rampant by the sick masochists, making up their own rules. trust me when i say this but neither of the official game modes provide the "community content" advertised here. there's nothing about wiping 2 years worth of progress on launch day, the way they did it. or SOTF and the tournaments where, as far as i recall, 2 asian teams collaborated and ticked out their 1st and 2nd standings. i'm sorry to be the negative guy again but that's where things are 3 years in. the birthday event is just a reminder of how time has flown on "what could have been's"
