    Get Ready for ARK: Fear Evolved 2, running from October 27 through Nov 6!

    This sequel to the ultimate Survival Holiday-Themed Event will test your skills and your courage as you hunt for the legendary DodoWyvern across Scorched Earth, collecting up new cosmetics and costumes along the way. Back on The Island, you'll get to tame Snakes, and encounter rare Vampire Bats & Rabid Dire Wolves -- being bit by these infected creatures will give you Vampirism or Lycanthropy! Though you will become a monster, you will also gain incredible powers, whether it's the superhuman sight, speed,  strength, and gliding of a Vampire, or the moon-triggered body-morphing ferocity of a Werewolf! Just beware the burning daylight (and stay stocked up on blood)! In Fear Evolved 2, sometimes the most dangerous creature on the ARK... is you!

    Patch 248

    We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the delay of the latest ARK Survival Evolved patch. Unfortunately, it’s going to take us a bit longer to get this out to you, this patch is filled with a tonne of content and new features and we’re needing to spend some more time on it -- the new v248 Release Date is October 18.

    A key feature of the patch our new Procedurally Generated ARK system. This will lead to endless opportunities for survivors to explore new lands and create new memories. We’re doing a lot of work to ensure that this first pass is really up to par to make sure you get a fulfilling experience and also creating a friendly user interface to make looking after your maps (multiple saves), and customizing & randomizing them much easier. Also, you’ll have the ability to share your maps very easily with others! Plus that’s not all we’ve got cooked up for this patch, there’s a tonne more to come and you can check out the rest of the upcoming notes here:

    So we apologize for the delay and hope you understand our reasoning for holding it back until it’s shiny, however once the patch does come out it’ll be better than ever and would have definitely been worth the wait!

    We’ve got a lot planned in October and for the months ahead, and can’t wait to share it all with you! Thanks for your ongoing support and feedback you provide, it is all valued and pivotal to making ARK as good as it can be!

    Yes, as it says on the OP you'll be able to tame them. It may only be for the event though.

    In the first Fear Evolved event we got to tame bats and spiders permanantly in the normal game afterwords, will it be the same for snakes? I'd love to tame a ton of snakes

    Thats it all i could think about was death worms but then im thinking death worms wernt in tremors hell why not bring back bacons mullet too.

    speaking of getting infected will you be able to level up as normal and im guessing since silver don't exist on ark yet that lycans will be weaker to another ammo type or will silver bullets an arrows be added to the event.

    Also what buffs if any will transmit once your in human form and also can you infect other people because if you can im defo going on a public server so i can spread the power an just like underworld go show the vamps who the true alphas are.

    im gonna have so much god damn fun.

    Quick question about dodorex. ...when killed, you will be rewarded with the hat skin, but is it a 1 time thing or will it be permanent. Meaning every time you die, you get another one?

    Titanoboas will most likely be permanently tameable for two reasons. First off the devs have confirmed in multiple digest that they would make the titanoboa tameable and lastly in the last fear evolved event the araneo(spider) and the onyc(bat) we're made tameable even after the event.

    Guys I think you put yourselfes under pressure for no reason..you put out dates that you cannot fulfill anyways just release things without promising dates..just release a patch WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY READY and surprise us...I would appreciate that and it would not make both sides unhappy in any way...greetings from austria :D

    Except for the fact we'd get people asking when is new content coming each day until it does. So it's not quite a win/win situation. :D

    I expect lycans to have more then one weakness even in human form but since its known throughout most lore is that lycans are only affected by silver and slowed down by normal ammo it would be nice if they added silver bullets an arrows as the primary way of killing a lycan an other ways to slow an weaken them but not kill them unless you drown them or chop their heads off after all burning dont even affect a lycan not to mention are lycans going to have a super jump, run on all fours have a leaping attack and more i could go on about lycans all night an what i think theyu should an shouldnt be able to do but more weaknesses would be good like narco not been able to kill them but slow an disorientate for so many seconds either giving you time to get the hell out of dodge or giving you time to come up with a plan to capture or kill.

    Or go all evil dead and chainsaw them....
