Its abysmally low. I flew around on my argy all day yesterday and had dinos, rafts, buildings etc popping right in front of my face. Thank god none of the bases or rafts had turrets, because I would have had no chance to react. In a game where you and your tame can get instantly shredded by 20 heavys, render distance has to be a top priority. Not to mention it makes searching for dinos to tame a huge pain because you are basically forced to fly right at ground level to even have them render, which puts you in turret range. I specifically remember improved render distance being a dev talking point leading up to release. Well, where is it? I suppose Shi needed a new mink coat or something, so WC had to make cuts to the render budget.

Hello, Congratulations on launch! We are excited to replay ark again with its updated visuals! I know launch is always a supper busy time for you guys, it seems everyone is hard at work stabilizing the game. Question, Is there any news about hosting an official hardcore server? Many of us in the hardcore community are unsure if ASA will be including one. If so is there an ETA for it? Thanks again for all the hard work -Hardcore community.

I don't know why you have done this to reduce the distance at which we can see the dinos, you can't search for dinos to sift, some of them appear without warning and kill you. If this is to improve server performance you have achieved this at the cost of worse gameplay. Put an option for those who want to play like this or leave it as it was.

I dont understand how folks can even play without punching their monitors. Running into your house 2-3x, spending 5 mins trying to pick a dino up because you rubberband past it, staring at the screen like an idiot because the game is lagging and your character is doing nothing. Its like its 2015 Ark all over again.

fulmarus miocenus an extinct fulmar these birds puke a substance at predators that makes them lose the ability to fly and it makes them lose the ability to swim. i think this as a flyer could be cool for dogfights. the bigger its target is the more it needs to hit them, when it hit them enough they glide to the ground and if they land in the water they start drowing. this could also be used against land dinos swimming on the surface. and it should be able to do actual backwards saltos.

What he said^ They could replace your lost dinos, but they won't, because that would require them to do the work of auditing everyone's tribe logs to see what they lost and replacing it. If they were going to do that kind of work they wouldn't have rolled back the server in the first place. If they were willing to be diligent and audit the activity of tribes on the server they would do that work up front, and punish the people who are causing the problems, instead of rolling back the server and punishing everyone. To be fair to WC, this would require a lot of work, when you think about how much happens on a busy server it takes a lot of time for someone to do a good job of reviewing logs and figuring out which tribes are honest and which are not. They've demonstrated over and over and over again that they don't care enough about the lost time of players for them to spend their own time doing this kind of work, so no one should be surprised by this anymore. WC doesn't care about your time, only their own, and they're always going to punish the innocent along with the guilty, that's just how they do things. It stinks, but that's the reality of playing ARK, they don't care about your time no matter how honest or innocent you are.

I also lost 2 dinosaurs due to the rollback..they stuck 300m below my base .. It's nice that honest players get punished

Another inane WC decision: Punish EVERYONE for select tribes abusing things. FIrst, take down the servers with NO warning, provide ZERO updates as hours stretch on, then BS folks with "Oh 8 hour roll back" while tons of people lost items, boss fights, and more importantly, WASTED HOURS OF THEIR TIME IN GAME for whats more like a 10-12 hour rollback. Absolutely hideous customer support and service. Its shameful that you guys treat everyone this way after folks were suckered into rebuying the what was once going to be free, ASA release. No offers to bump the event longer or raise the rates. Nope, EVERYONE suffers for the idiocy of a few.

You are trying to justify these changes at any cost. But there is not a single fact showing how these new cryopod changes are useful for PVE. NOT A SINGLE FACT! I, like many of my friends, don't want anything to do with PVP. Why should we suffer and go to unofficial servers because of these stupid changes? I want and will play on the official server. But such innovations were made literally in order to evict me from here. Why make cryopods worse than it was for official players, given that they cannot cancel anything?..

Ark hardcore is how I learned to play the game. Love the crazy pvp action and western stare-downs. Please give us at least one hardcore 1x server.

Yes please! Hardcore was such a fantastic community of people and offered a different feel for the game. Pleaseeeee bring it back!
