Igloo
Tame a 120 rex with kibble. Level up in health up to 15-20k, then level melee. You should be able to solo a regular death worm without issue doing this. Alphas you are going to want to stay away from solo though.

Jostabeere
I've been killing Deathworms with 5 oil jars per worm for the past 2 days.
X111
I've not heard anyone mention a Giga? we have a 261 and it solo's the entire desert including alphas of all descriptions. unless I'm missing something
BaMxBooZeLLed
Rexs, Wyverns, Gigas, Golems are all good options. Just be ready to take like 2000k-4000k in damage if your going in solo. Groups make it much easier to manage, it just attacks the closest target, so if it keeps focusing on you just step back for a sec and it will turn to the next person. In terms of finding them, I have found them on every side of the map, seems to me that they like to hang around the desert drop locations.

You have to get one from Island to SE.
X111
This is very true though I have both, the giga I find is more useful for gathering meat and Base or taming defence. Sticking a dragon on neutral and parking it in the middle of your Base could be fatal lol
QuantumReaper
i use gigas and wyverns. if the wyvern is decently imprinted you can kill up to 6 death worms solo before having to heal ( on a lighting of course). than with a macro you can force feed your self back to full health relatively fast. Jabbakoid
Lighting wyvern is best, if you use good tact you can kill alpha worm solo. You need to move back, worm will stay some time and cant reach you, then spam lichting, when worm moving in ground you can also attack it.
FuriousX
Lighting wyvern, Giga, T Rex but for me Wyvern is super fast
X111
abominable turn rate. the Death Star could orbit Endor faster than a wyvern turn radius.
ElfinAssasin
use a ptera the barrel roll can hit them while underground then they pop up you wait for them to go back down then rinse and repeat, I've killed alphas like this too. Its faster with two pteras also.
YoureGarbageBud92
I'd say 1 Rex 25k HP 500% Melee to be safe, 2 Rexes 18k HP 400% Melee would work really well too
Colton1211
How about 30k with 650 melee and acendent saddle
Petraeus
I have a lv 320 Rex (born at 251) with 30k hp and 520% melee dmg would that be enough to kill an alpha deathworm?

Alpha worms have 27k hp and do around 500 damage, and they always spawn at level 1. I think you'll be more than fine. I did it with a 11k hp tamed rex and my tribemate had a weaker rex and we destroyed it.

OVERKILL a freshly popped high rex with 10k hp and 400smth melee (primitive saddle) can solo a worm so anything above that is just a bonus. TheRealManiac
Lighting wyvs work really well for me. I usualy go 12k health and rest melee. Need atleast 300 melee to be effective and decent imprint but it gets the job done quick.
untisMAXIMUSmk2
Throw an oil jar at it and then light it up with fire arrows!! Works well.

So i thought about alternative Ways. is there any animal that is able to challenge them, other than Golem or Wyvern? what about a stronger Rex? I Just have no idea, how strong those worms are. giga or a wyvern make mincemeat of it but a wyvern will get hurt quite abit. a giga not so much lol. make sure the wyvern has at least more than 10 k health a rex i would not advise it you will be lucky if you win the fight. Darkramzeu
Easy method Minimum Requirements: 3 Riders; 3 Big dinos Rexes Wyvern Rock Gollem Giga Bronto Paracer What to do? Find the (alpha) deathworm Let it emerge Make a Triangle with the 3 Riders and the deathworm in the center of it Keep biting and walking towards the deathworm If done correcly the deathworm can't do dmg Loot the deathworm's dead body Let me know if this information is/was helpfull,

Darkholis
Throw an Oil Jar on the ground and light it up with a flame arrow. Bait the worm through the burning oil over and over. It will catch fire, even while moving underground. Very easy and cost-effective method to kill them and level up. Regards.
Jezzie
We always used rexes in the beginning before we got wyverns.. some people also used some wolves but as we all know wolves dies easily:/
