How do I earn a higher level cap?

I beat the Alpha Wyvern Queen, Alpha Brood Mother and Alpha Megapithecus and I'm still capped at level 105.

What exactly do I need to do to increase my level cap on official?

Alpha Brood and Alpha Megapithecus should give you 30 levels extra.

I would suggest trying either to kill yourself so you respawn, or upload yourself to an obelisk and see if that fixes it. I know sometimes i've had to do that for my implant and stats to update.

You need to ascend by defeating these bosses:

• Overseer on The Island.
• Manticore on Scorched Earth.
• Rockwell on Aberration.
• Master Controller on Gen1.
• Rockwell Prime on Gen2.

You can also unlock +5 by leveling up a chibi, +10 by collecting all the notes, and +10 by collecting all the runes.

They don't unlock levels, they give trophies you need to open the Tek Cave.

As @Joebl0w13sez ........ But in terms of easy answers, Manticore on Scorched is probably the way to go (I whacked Alpha there with "wild egg" lightning wyverns. - before breeding was allowed. Yeah a long while ago and I speak under correction for current mechanics - but that was an easy win). And the chibi whilst tedious, is also worth doing (although at level 105 you may have already done that?)

Nope, 105 is the basic level limit with nothing added.

105  base

  + 5  chibi

  + 10 runes

  + 10 explorer notes

  + 15 Overseer

  + 15 Manticore

  + 15 Rockwell

  + 15 Master controller

  + 15 Rockwell Prime

for a grand total of 205 levels.

Beating the final bosses (ascension maps) grants 5 levels for gamma, 10 levels for beta, and 15 levels for alpha completion.  This just unlocks the ability to earn more XP. You still need to gather the required XP amounts to get the levels.  You will also get an updated implant with the level unlocks already earned.

One thing that confuses some people is the whole gamma/beta/alpha and the bonus applied.   If you do gamma version of one of these ascension bosses and beat it, you get +5.  If you then do beta and beat it, you get +5 more.  If you then go and beat the boss on alpha, you get +5 more for a grand total of +15.  

If you just go and do alpha first try and beat it, you get +15.
