Victorshep Posted June 12, 2019 Share Posted June 12, 2019 New DLC and Character Transfer???? Most likely a dumb question. When a DLC new map drops. Is it set up an available on cross arks? Can you instantly transfer in a leveled out character over and a flyer and get set up? or... acat Posted June 12, 2019 Share Posted June 12, 2019 All 3 dlcs wildcard released were handled as aylana said. You can only transfer your naked character into the new map, but anything out of it. Right now now it only shows your cluster etc. So once it drops on Xbox it will pop up the option after clicking transfer server? Sorry just want want to know before new map drops. Example: once they announce new DLC go download. Does that mean download DLC then walk character to OB click Transfer Server and it will auto add to your options? Just want to know or see a how to bid on how when DLC’s drop. How do you transfer your character. Everyone says you can transfer character only initially but no one says how you do that. just curious if and when the next DLC drops if all you do is click Transfer like you would to switch on clusters and the new DLC magically now appears. acat Posted June 13, 2019 Share Posted June 13, 2019 If you go to a drop/obelisk/transmitter and click on travel to another server, you will see all servers you can transfer to. Add3r Posted June 13, 2019 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Victorshep you can transfer characters to another server by going to an obi , or bu using a tek transmitter. On recent DLC releases as other posers have said, you can usually only take in your naked levelled-up character to a new DLC. caleb68 Posted June 13, 2019 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Obelisk, tek transmitter or Supply Drops allow character transfers (everyone always forgets about supply drops) once you open it, you can click 'Travel to another Server' in the middle section of the inventory window.Note - Anything with a timer on it will be dropped on transferring to another server. Campi Posted June 13, 2019 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Keep in mind what people wrote here is in regards to official servers only: On Officials it would probably be so that you can get into new servers (of the same type: PVE/PVP/Smalltribe etc.) naked without any dinos and out of the server with anything you want. For Unofficials it is up to the admins of the specific cluster to set the rules. First of all for a new map to be available in a private cluster the admins of that cluster actually have to get a new server and integrate it into the cluster. Then they can choose to set transfers to their liking in regards to players, items and dinos (eighter restrict some or not restrict at all). On the PVE cluster I own for example if new maps are released i usually add another server and open it up for all transfers instantly. Since its a private run cluster there are no problems with pillars etc. since people who repeatedly do that will "mysteriously" disappear from the server and never be seen again .
