yes, lets wait for another company to reveal some juicy content xD We have been loyally waiting over here at the games actual website.... my bad. I should have known these things are common knowledge. I must have missed where the community team graced us with the details, for which i also thank you dearly for sharing xD I need to be better prepared to dive into the threads for info. I am old and dated,...i like things in community crunch form or bold font news at the top of the screen.

I shall go touch grass and enjoy a gulp of fresh air!

gotta admit hes right you all know .....

unless ofc WC / snail have 'extra money' hidden in the xbox / microsoft deal which at this point realllllly would not shock me one bit lol (all conjecture / subjective etc)

...it's possible, considering that (if I haven't misunderstood) they already have agreements for the exclusivity of ARK2 on XBox.. (I repeat: if I haven't misunderstood)

I remember another game that had a partnership with Xbox a while ago. For a long time all we got to see was some minor screenshots and old trailers while the hypebuilding was done mostly by content creators speculating. Xbox even made a special edition of the One halfd a year before launch...

Got to say that Cyberpunk 2077 had a poor lanch and needed almost 2,5 years of patching before it became the game that should have been launched... That extra money or whatever they got was not a guarantee for a good product on launch, neither was the line-up of Series X/S the first year showing MS having the knowledge to create good games with their partners.

So these new announcments are just new announcements to me and no reason to expect anything good or bad. I just wait and see, no hype here.

That would have been funny if they had stuck with the initial ASA/ARK2 package. Even without that package it will be another change of hearts since they never realy mentioned ARK2 being platform exclusive, altough there has been lots of speculation about it already.

Dont know if this will change after release of ASA, but at the moment i dont think anyone besides Cedric from WC is even checking this forum anymore. Can see some of them on Discord tho, there is quite a few things been pinned in General channel, nothing too important but more info than on any other sites/platforms.

I'm not saying it's right on their part, given this is official forum for ARK, but if you want to get some info you might consider joining ARK`s discord.

Quite sure they are still here. And checking the forums all the time. They might be a bit busy at this moment.

As people beg for a trailer, SOMETHING, WC offers skins for Ark Wiki…….

0/10 communication.

If WC sold ice cream they would let it sit in the sun all day and then try to convince people they could just refreeze it when they got home.

actually are wiki volunteers making skins and restyles, not WC at all.

people need to learn to have patience. Today you want to have everything right away. Doing things takes time, you have to wait. Luckily the wait for ASA won't be too long: They already shut down the Ark Survival Evolved servers. This implies that they will open the Asa servers soon. Be patient. The desire to play ASA may be understandable but some of the comments here are very " imaginative " .

"learn to be patient' ? I dont think any developer in the history of gaming has left the trailer until a day or 2 of release? Its unprecedented marketing madness. Its unfortunately very telling of the state of the product too.

Remember years ago all games were platform exclusive. I remember friendly rivalry with mates about which platforms had the best games. Then devs realized it was financially stupid because although some people bought multiple consoles and a pc, many didnt which meant millions in revenue down the drain. So exclusivity became a thing of the past for big titles. Funny how things go full circle and they think its even viable again.

Hello people,

I am new to this site an technology hates me. What I have to ask doesn't pertain to this article. I need help though. Iv talk to several different sites an they point me here now. I have a switch system an have played ark for almost 2 yrs now. For the past 2 was my game has been constantly crashing. Either while I try to save or even while in play. I play single player not on the server. It's so bad now I barely get to play 5 minutes an then I get a server error that something went wrong no communication with server an kicks out to menu. We have trouble shooter, deleted an reinstalled, corruption check an nothing. Please I need help. I love my game an have some very important character (dragon) that means a lot to mean. The wk I starred playing I started scorched earth during valentines I hated my first dragon egg an then found out my favorite YouTube Thick 44 with neebs gaming passed. I don't want to loose him. Please if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated!

Normally the mods and some others here are pretty helpful with certain questions like yours bud so not sure if they've answered you privately? All i can say is ark is a little buggy on any device to say the least and i cant speak for pc but on console good Internet connection is essential and the only other thing is memory space. I had to delete some other games once a while back when i had similar issue. So yeah run an Internet speed check and check your system storage maybe

Not necessarily! If you look at Fromsoftwares Dark Souls: They have insane DLCs that are all fantastic, some better than the base game. Some of them got shadowdropped without any Trailer or hype-buildup behind them xD
And they are all masterpieces. It doesnt always mean that the product is bad, maybe they just didnt want the hype of the game to be over when it releases due to an early trailer (not saying that they couldnt have dropped it last week tho). I would just wait and see and not make such a fuss about it.

DLCs or even major updates get 'shadow dropped' not something they're trying to sprout as a completely new game. Disastrous marketing strategy

True, but thats not what I meant. I am saying that it doesnt always mean that the product is in a bad state. There is no way of knowing until it drops.

I do remember... It realy was a bummer my Megadrive games didn't fit in my friends Amiga or NES, most devs were specialized in their own system in those days.
I also remember it was MS convincing the industry that exclusivity was bad when they entered the market with the Xbox, not the devs.

When gaming was still a niche and you just had to visit your friends if you wanted a multiplayer... Those days 😹

And there is the difference: Shadowdropped.
What is happening with ASA is far from "shadow", it is constantly screaming "LOOK NEXT WEEK AT US SCREAMING AGAIN".

A good shadowdrop saves a lot of marketing cost, complaints about delays, unforfilled expectations and whatever more is dissapointing or negative while everybody is pleasantly surprised.

Whatever is asked about PC specifications to upgrade or not. This is a bottomless pit. If everyone played on consoles, developers would only need to concentrate on one specification and everything would become easier and quicker

yup ... thats real logic ... (at which point do we tell them that a console is a compressed computer in a box)
