  1. Basically this is what everything means. Complete official network shutdown - 30 September First snapshot of servers taken 25 August - made available to players on 30 August. Second snapshot in September. This is what you need to do for the snapshots. Have your survivors on the map you want to be on, most likely the one with your main base before the snapshot is taken on 25 August. Anything you have uploaded in the obelisk, i.e. items/dinos etc need to be downloaded on to the map before the snapshot is taken. Any dinos in cryos can stay in cryos as long as the cryo is on the map (i.e. not uploaded to the obelisk). All bases and structures will remain in tact. Keep a note of which servers your stuff is on so that you know which saves to download when they are provided on 30 August or in September. Once you have the server saves that you want, then you can run them on your own servers, and if you have multiple maps then you'd need to make sure they are clustered so you can still transfer between them. Obviously the server setup side of things is more complicated, but the important part is the stuff prior to the snapshots being taken. Hope this helps.
  2. Covered the latest on that in this video.
  3. There will be wild babies spawning on the map.
  4. Yes there will be unofficial servers otherwise mods would be pretty pointless, particularly PvP ones as they'd have no use in single player. There will be some mods available at launch, but how many and what ones are unknown.
  5. You do realise that as of 30th September ALL official servers will shutdown for good on ARK Survival Evolved?
  6. Not sure yet, but I don't believe it's going to be an egg steal because it says this "Survivors bolder than me were able to sneak into nests to win the trust of their young" So I believe you will have to interact with the baby Gigantoraptors.
  7. You should read the Community Crunch every weekend, that basically covers all stuff like this, then you'd mostly be in the know.
  8. Generally the earlier you get your submission in the better it will do, but whether you have a following will also help. It's not just youtubers that promote creatures though, people share their submissions on social media like Twitter, Discord, Facebook etc. If people submit a creature on the forum and do no promotion whatsoever then it is likely not going to get very far unless it is insanely good.
  9. You don't need 6 posts to vote, that is only for the submission stage. You can now vote in the final round here: https://app.rankedvote.co/rv/asa-aberration-creature/vote
  10. Not now you don't, that's only for the submission stage. Anyone can vote now as the voting is not done on the website.
  11. It does get posted on Steam as it is in the Community Crunch that gets posted on the official forum and the Steam forum, but it won't be until Friday. The issue with the voting is the dates it commences/ends, which is done oddly. The suggestions begin with the Crunch on Friday, but ends a week on Monday and the final voting starts immediately after. Which means the prior Crunch has already been posted and then next one is 4 days away, which is also only 3 days before the voting finishes. I'm not sure why they do it like that and why they don't create a separate post on the forum to announce the final vote. Also, assuming they get it working again, there is a Twitter widget on the front page of this website that will show the latest Tweets from the ARK account. Non-Twitter users can always keep an eye on that from here.
  12. You can vote here: https://app.rankedvote.co/rv/asa-aberration-creature/vote
  13. Posts are comments, its the same thing.
  14. No they don't they usually start on Friday's several hours before the Crunch comes out. Unless of course you live over in the Oceania region.
  15. PGM's are no longer a thing for ARK as per the roadmap for ASA.
  16. There's been no confirmation whether cryopods will be included at launch yet.
  17. Replying and creating threads count, but not in off-topic section.
  18. The new DLC will be a seperate product so you will have to pay for that. The $39.99 is only for previously released DLCs.
  19. You can't because those topics are now all hidden in preparation for the next creature vote. You've got to wait until Wildcard reveal their version of the Gigantoraptor.
