  1. Thank you for your information. I did my tests by shooting with a shotgun with saddled dinos and the reaper, but I may be wrong. Remember that 80 as a saddle is different from 80% reduction. In any case, even with a better armor, I still thinks that reapers should get something to be more useful than a rex in the very late game of ark, when people make immense breeding and rex overcome the stats of the reaper. In my opinion the reaper king was born to be a very great tame, maybe not a good choice in bossfights but still better than a rex. A max level imprinted reaper usually gets over 20k HP, while a rex hardly gets there (in the same conditions obviously, imprinting/parents are wild but top level/no mutations). Moreover, the rex has a lower DPS, so it sounds absurd to me that just thanks to mutations the rex is better than the reaper (in PVE at least)
  2. I don't agree with many of your statements. Their base damage is 75, no buff and no debuff with charge light or its absence. This damage means that 2 rexes that mateboost each other get a higher damage (base rex damage = 62, mateboost bonus= 30%). Plus, the natural armor is far weaker than a 400 saddle bro XD. It's just a 80 saddle. It is the same of the shadowmane, and you can test this fact by shooting to your reaper one bullet and then doing the same on a dino with a 80 saddle. You will see the same damage on both dinos. If reapers were as strong as you say, like 400 armor, they would destroy any boss. But it's not like that. I speak about mate boosting reapers for this fact. Nowadays rex are way better than reapers, thanks to mutations; no reasons to get a reaper excluding his agility. Reapers shall stay like this, no mutations, it would be no sense being able to breed them if you firstly need to get impregnated by the queen. But at least a bonus to help them standing a chance against the top mutated dinos is necessary in my opinion. If you watch YouTube you will see that reapers have no utility in any hard bossfight.
  3. Unfortunately nobody is considering this 😅 can you guess why? Can you help this getting more attention?
  4. THE MIGHTY TARBOSAURUS FINALLY SHOWS IN THE CRATER FOREST, EXTINCTION! This big theropod is in his breeding season: many females are guarding their own sons, while some males wander around the crater forest. Will you be able to get one of their pet, without dying to a very ungry tarbosaurus mum? EXPLAINING IN SHORT SENTENCES WHAT THE TARBOSAURUS DOES: It is intended to be a funny strong dino to plaay with: it should have the mobility of a reaper, being able to jump a little better than a reaper, but worse than a shadowmane; he is intended to be the first dino to be able to dodge on his sides on land, like the astrodelphis in the sky. As statistics, it should be as strong as a therizino, but with new abilities: firstly, as picture shows, he can wear a helmet with horns to charge aat his enemies, like the wholly rhyno. No other dino can do that; secondly, the male has the ability to roar to a selected group of females to partially heal them, making this a very strong dino for bossfight, without passing the rex or megalo stats. Thirdly, the tarbosaurus has a good smell that can be used to find preys near him, and lastly he can block little preys with a very cool stomp, and kill that prey like a megalosaurus and a tropeognathus do (by grabbing the prey in the mouth). About the taming process, he can be passively tamed by petting him, without waking up the mum; then he must be raised up. NOW I WILL EXPLAIN HOW IT WORKS FOR THOSE MORE CURIOIUS In the wild Tarbosaurus can be found in 3 different conditions: - males (they are rarer) are constantly awekened and wander around normally. In the crater forest there are not many preys to fight. - females sleep most of the time, they wake up for very short times without even walking; they just look around for their baby. Both males and females don't have a very good sight, but they can smell quite well. - babies (Wildcard stated that ASA will have wild babies around in the ARKs) stand around their mothers; they can be tamed by petting them for many times. The babies are very curious, especially to humans. the temprament of the Tarbosaurus is very territorial, as the therizino and the Spino. If a baby Tarbosaurus is attacked, the mother will insantly try to kill you, getting a boost in its stats. This is intended to make more complicated the process of looking for high level babies. if a female Tarbosaurus is killed, the baby must fall in depression, and he will be untamable. This is intended to keep the difficulty of the taming: the female must be always near to the baby. If the survivor tries to kite away the mum, her baby will follow her (for the same reason). About the taming, this is what I propose: you need to wear the ghillie amor, or the female Tarbosaurus will instantly hear you. After some caresses, the baby will start producing some noises, and the last will surely awaken the mum. This is intended to give a possibility to the mum to interrupt the taming; otherwise, with a ghilie armor she would never hear or see you. The taming process can be improved (both by time and efficiency) by consuming the Tarbosaurus pheromone, a substance dropped by male Tarbosaurus. When the taming process is complete, the survivor has a few seconds to grab the Tarbosaurus (like a shoulder pet; he should be tiny) and to move away. Then the female will wake up, and will look for the baby. At that point, the suruvivor should fly/run away to save him. If the female catches the survivor on foot, she will block him with a stomp, leaving no escape. The baby tarbosaurus is raised as all the other normal babies; he can be fed even when he is on the shoulder of the survivor. When this big theropod is grown, he has many enjoiable abilities to show: - he is a great mount to roam around, since he should have a nice base speed, he can sprint for short times, he can move as a reaper and can jump better than him (but worse than a shadowmane). - he can make dodges to the left and to the right, like an astrodelphis; this can make this dino as a funny warrior that can dodge and attack if the movement is successfull. - if he is equipped with his special helmet, only found in red and purple OSDs, he can use his sprint to make a charged attack like the wholly rhyno; the damage of this attack should be lower than the one of the mammal, because otherwise there would be no reason to play the rhyno. This charged attack obviously combines with the dodge. - he can stomp little preys to easily kill them; this ability is important also when the Tarbosaurus is wild, to kill the player. otherwhise, it may be easy to stand some bites. - he can smell other preys that are in medium distance; this can be used in various ways (hunting, escaping, taming). This is made because the skull of the Tarbosaurus shows that he had a worse sight than the Tyrannnosaurus Rex; so he should count on his smell a lot. - finally the male has a very interesting ability: he can choose up to 4 females as "the females of his group", and his roar can heal partly them (like the veggie kake or a bit less). every 15 levels applied to the male Tarbosaurus, he can choose a new female as part of the group (so when 60 levels are applied he will be able to choose the max number of females to heal). if a survivor loses/sells/put in cryopod one of those females, she is still counted as "one of the group). The only way to change a female is that one must die; since the election of a new female is connected to levels applied, there is a limit to elected females. I hope other survivors like this concept, and I am sorry for making easy and simple draws. use your mind to think about this mighty beast, since even wildcard will modify it. And please, update your own suggestions!
  5. Hi guys, I'm writing here just to discuss with the community. A while ago I thought that it would be nice if Reaper Pheromone Gland could be consumable also on Reaper Kings, in order to make them considered temporarily as females. The pheromone is harvested by queens which are females and is used to let the survivor recognized as a "reaper like creature" by a baby. I know that queen and king together don't get mate boost, but they are different versions of the same animal, as X,R and tek variants. Who don't get mate boosted. But why the reaper king can't get the super useful buff "mate boosted" by consuming the pheromone gland? In my opinion it would be very nice, the pheromone would have a very great usage and the reaper would get better in PvE, where you basically use it for meat runs, "agility", taking down wyverns and slowing a bit other dinos... But it's not very efficient in bossfight, excluding the ability do dig underground and getting the aggro (which doesn't have any sense). What do you think guys?? I'd like to see the reaper pheromone gland useful for this in ASA!!
  6. Okay guys. Thanks to everyone!
  7. Thank you. I hope it won't happen... Or maybe I will spawn back one by myself
  8. Thanks to everyone for answering to me. About the fact that they can wear armor, I noticed that it reduces a lot the damage taken (wild giga was only dealing 14 damage) but my flak helmet with 500 durability was broken in a few bites from the giga. So is there anything to say about that? Should I go around with like 10 helmets? Or what?
  9. Hi everyone, I am here in order to ask some questions about the ferox. I like it so much but I feel that it doesn't have several utility in pve. So, first of all I want to ask if anyone knows if sanguine elixir can be used on ferox while taming. I wouldn't be sure because for his taming method, he doesn't appear as a trackable taming. So I thought that maybe it isn't possible to give him sanguine elixir. My second majority part of doubts is about levelling him and breeding him. Is it possible to make generations of ferox? In my experience it seems that sometimes the sons don't copy the stats of the parents... Plus, which other bugs are about levelling and breeding him? Lastly, which are his utilities? I am a pve player so I am more interested about this case. Thanks to anyone who will help me
  10. Thank you GP, I see you on twitter and I understand. Unfortunately I am only an ark player, I don't own a youtube channel, I am nobody around twitter, Instagram, tik tok or anything... And my friends don't play ark so much. If you are curious, I would suggest to have a look at my "torvosaurus" announcement... Just to discover it 🤣🤣 in a few words, it is a "megalo support" or "strong fighting dino" designed to live in surface on aberration (that place offer too few things to do in my opinion), it has an innovative taming where you should complete a first task and then let him kill a baby reaper inside you (this works by an animation, like being impregnated). It also has some other abilities... I think that it was good 😅 Thanks for the advice, maybe I will prepare something for Valguero/Extinction, but probably I can't modify the Torvosaurus... It was tough to invent a dino who could support megalos to make them playable at day time, and his taming that is all about surface reaper kings and baby reapers is just unique.
  11. Hello, I have one question... I made a creature for aberration, the torvosaurus, but he got completely ignored. Can anyone tell me if there is some way to promote your own creature submission? Is it important to submit a creature as soon as it is possible? I submitted the torvosaurus late, maybe it got ignored for that. Does every creature submitted benefits from followers of an influencer? Like for example, the owl, the spiders, the koolasuchus and so on... All the candidates for new dino on aberration, are all of these promoted by ark YouTubers? In conclusion I am asking: what did I do wrong in submitting my torvosaurus? Was I late? Do I miss a fan base? Or what? I have some ideas for Valguero and Extinction, so if it is a "being late" problem I may be quicker for the next time, while if it is a "fanbase" problem I surely won't fix it 😅😅 thanks for replying to me!
  12. Torvosaurus, a robust jurassic theropod, related to the megalosaurus, has travelled for miles to get the crown as the apex predator on Aberration. Torvosaurus wonders on the Surface to kill his only opponent, the Reaper King. Hellp him to complete his glorious hunt and he will become your trusted "big Megalosaurus brother"! Torvosaurus is a genus of two species: torvosaurus tanneri and torvosaurus gurneyi. This second one was the largest predator in the entire Europe. he had a robust body, and was quite heavier than the most known Allosaurus. He comes from the same family of the Megalosaurus (their family is called Megalosauridae). After this short introduction, I want to explain the characteristics of this new dino that I would like to introduce in the surface of Aberration; this section of the map isn't very interesting, as you can only explore it at night and only for drops (which aren't the best drops of the game). Plus, this place is very dangerous, so it is generally ignored. With the introduction of the Torvosaurus, this place may get a greater utility. LORE The torvosaurus has reached the Aberration lands to hunt the surface reaper kings, his greatest rival. He only wants glory for his family, and he is ready to die if this means protecting his smaller brother, the megalosaurus; this is why the Torvosaurus hunts alone, while the smaller brother chills in other Aberration regions. Fierce of his strong ignoring armor bite and his charge attack (similar to the Rhino), the torvosaurus truly knows that he can take down some reaper kings, before passing out. WILD The torvosaurus is only found in the surface, as his lore explains, where he just hunts other reaper kings. He mainly lives without any mate. He ignores any other living being (excluding if they are brave enough to fight this reaper killer). He can smell the reaper pheromone gland, and the torvosaurus will confuse any survivor with a reaper. He doesn't despawn when the day comes to the surface, he hides underground so it can be found again the following night. DOMESTICATED Taming a Torvosaurus involves a great hunt that must be conducted exclusively with his true smaller brother, the megalosaurus. If this creature, ridden by a survivor, roars in front of the Torvosaurus, he will roar back and will start exploring around, searching for surface reaper kings. When the survivor, still riding the megalosaurus, and the wild Torvosaurus will have killed enough reaper kings, the big brother will be truly glorified and he will get to the step 2: sacrificing a baby reaper king that is still inside the survivor. This must be conducted by dismounting the megalosaurus (the torvosaurus doesn't attack anything unless provoked) and consuming a reaper pheromone gland: the Torvosaurus will react by smelling in the air, aiming at you and will kill the reaper king inside the survivor, damaging him and leaving him with 1 HP, as the reaper queen. At this point, he will be instantly tamed. the levels of the wild surface reaper kings will affect just the speed of the step 1, while the level of the reaper king inside the survivor (which can go up to 225 on official servers) will directly affect the taming effectiveness. Skipping the step 1 will result in a Torvosaurus still not glorified by the greatest hunt of his life and will just become aggressive to the player. ABILITIES, WHILE WILD AND TAMED 1) Both while wild and tamed, the Torvosaurus hides underground to escape the terrible conditions of the Aberration Surface during the day, so he doesn't despawn after a single night. He doesn't dig underground in any other place in all the Ark universe, only when he will need to escape the Aberration Surface day conditions. 2) Both while wild and tamed, his bite ignores any natural armor, making him very strong against both reaper kings and queens, nameless, fenrir, shadowmanes, rock elementals and so on. Armor by saddles is not ignored. 3) Both while wild and tamed, he can find wild Reapers (Reaper Queens, Subterranean Reaper Kings and Surface Reaper Kings) like the Rock Drake, pointing with his head to their position, and he can stomp the ground to let them emerge. He cannot smell the presence of tamed Reaper Kings. The stomp can be performed everytime, but without a Reaper nearby it will be just a flex of power and greatness 4) Both while wild and tamed, he ignores the debuff from any Reaper King, so he can't be slowed by him. 5) Both while wild and tamed, he can perform some charged attacks in the style of the Rhino; the Torvosaurus peforms a dash and concludes it with a small jump that he uses to devastate his prey with a massive damage. Unlike the Rhino, he can't perform sequential charges, as they are very expensive in term of energy. the AI of the wild Torvosaurus shouldn't abuse of these charged attacks. 6) As the big brother of megalosaurus, he gives courage, strength and stamina recover to them by roaring during the day, in order to keep them awakened at their full strenght even with daylight. This ability is unlocked only if the Torvosaurus is tamed and finally gives megalosaurus the status they deserve: very powerful dino and usable during the day. The more megalosaurus get buffed by him during the day, the bigger the Torvosaurus gets debuffed, so a survivor needs to choose wether using him as a source of damage or as a megalosaurus support. 7) Still when tamed, the Torvosaurus passively produces tears in his inventory that can be consumed by the player to properly see at night. This is the reason why he can spend his whole life on the Aberration surface, hunting reapers during the night. Tears are excellent to see in the night, much better than the night visor; in this way the night won't be boring and frustrating for those great tribes who managed to get a Torvosaurus. STATISTICS Such a strong dino who can take down Reapers and that ignores natural armor needs to have an explanation for his statistics, as it is NOT intended to be a new giga and to be just a rex-like dino, with just high stats for fighting. He should have HP similar to a rex and melee damage similar to a megalosaurus (because he is intended to fight and kill some surface reaper kings before dying, while wild). His stamina consumption and regen should be similar to other big dino fighters, but his roar that boosts megalos should consume very a lot of stamina, like for a yuty. His charged jump attack must consume quite a lot of stamina, but shouldn't reduce it too much. With these stats, he should be a very strong dino but still balanced, because he can't both fight and support megalos. Now I will explain better the "support debuff". His debuff for supporting megalos could work this way: buffing 5 megalosaurus will give him a complete debuff, that should take his damage to a poor level (half of the original, that could be around 35 if he has a base melee damage similar to a megalosaurus, which is 75). Boosting more megalosaurus than 5 will still give the maximum debuff to the Torvosaurus and boosting a smaller number will give a minor debuff (each megalo will cause 20% of the maximum debuff). Here are some examples: boosting 2 megalos will result in a debuff that is 40% of his max quantity; if the max debuff halves his damage from around 70 to 35, a 40% of this debuff should take his base damage to 57. boosting 4 megalos will result in a 80% debuff, which will take his base damage to 42. boosting 18 megalos (for example in a bossfight) will give him a complete debuff, taking his base damage to 35. It should be the same debuff for boosting 5,6,7 and so on megalos... up to hundreds. Obviously all the numbers given by me are just suggestions and extimations; I tryed to make him balanced to a rex, a megalo, a spino or an allosaurus, not too stronger. Since I still consider the Torvosaurus a bit stronger than other big theropods, I would suggest a breeding that requires around 12 hatching hours (egg) and about 6 days to be fully grown (everything is half of a giga/carcha). Thanks to all of those guys who patiently read my Torvosaurus idea I hope some of you will appreciate him and will vote this big megalosaurus brother.
