What surprised me with controls that as soon auto or manually you target anything your avatar get glued and bond on that target and can not freely move unless you manage ( if you remember in time ) to un target. That was first game with system that if you target anything you are f###d at least on PC. Well seeing pic of weapons thing Ark 2 will be great. But cant think to be able to "soul like" back stab giga and one hit kill it.

He he you guess. PVE only here. Im level 156. I come to that level by doing boring nonsense. And ark avatar max level now is 205. Only way to gain xp is killing thousands giga and carcha babies and that is boring too. Like log in, do meat run, make gigas and carchas mating, put eggs in incubator and log off nothing else to do. Btw i played many other games like lineage 2 in time it was on subscription but after few years ncsoft changed it inti free to play (pay to win + loot boxes and other gambling), i played also tera, lost ark and many single player games too. Dont know if they are "soul like" but playing "game of the year for 2022" my hand get hurt by constantly pulling down with mouse as controls are soo bad that you have hard time to see floor as game move avatar view up as you walking. Disabling all auto setings dont help. Binding is not existing. To call horse you need to use both hands - holding E for few sec and then press arrow and similar lol. Soul like game? I didn't know what is soul like game so i paid one - Elden Ring. I did 30 hours of game play plus many hours of learning on you tube And I'm pissed and sorry i lost money and so many hours on that. Its bad with avatar controls on PC, is bad with story, is bad as difficulty. And is boring. Deleted game. So is that we are waiting for with ark 2 ?

We know that Ark 2 get new graphics lipstick called UE5. I hope we get solutions on real problems too like no more game freeze every 2 minutes where commands do not respond, inventories do not open, fish fly from sea into the sky and you run in building up to third floor then game turn you back in front of building. No more dodo walk thru the foundation and wild bronto go with head thru the walls in center of your base. Solid rocks and tertian and no anti mesh killing players and their tames without their fault. Avatar progress by doing things not by killing thousands carcha babies... All this is more valuable than eye candy graphics.

leveling in Ark is bad. At certain avatar level there is no point to do bosses and ascension as you never reach XP for 15+ levels by normal playing and gaining xp. Well try solo to get XP after 155 level - and game max level is 205 now so without being in tribe, killing thousands of carcha babies, broth of enlightenment, toilet buff etc you cant do it . And having resources depending on level mean you are out

Im on Fjordur. In one ore spawning spot - crystals and obsidian few (bad word) players parked stryders . Now there are 3 parked there, So if you want to do with magama to collect crystals and obsidian is very hard to move between stryders legs - if not impossible. Now reading your post im getting an idea to lure wild diplos in that spot lol.

Component based item crafting mean it will be a lot harder to get top item, Now is hard with random success rate of avatar with full crafting skills but blue print quality is your savior. I guess top quality blue print will not help you in Ark 2, you will need hilarious quality components to get any success.

Like in dec 2021 also in dec 2022 Wildcard was looking for a lot of man power and offering jobs. Probably hard to find as Ark2 is not finished jet.

I failed to do genesis2 missions so don't have requirement to do the boss and my Ark game finished there. Also explorer notes were deleted so many times that i stopped to collect them long time a go.

I guess developers are introducing new element to force to pvp even notorious pve players. Its new humanoid monster species with teeth problem as we have seen in trailer. They will have significant advantage as alien planet is their own planet and they know it better than any new coming player. You don't need human player as enemy as locals will find you and destroy you faster than anyone else. And don't hope that logging off will force them to stop roaming around on public official server. Your base will be found and destroyed.

You are right but is not that the point. After years of playing i know food values and how creatures are programed to act but an newcomer must read wiki a lot of times to get (if) it. For example let see info an newcomer could find on wiki in past. Argentavis can pick wild animals. First thing newcomer have to learn that there is big difference between singe player and multiplayer game. After that newcomer have to find and read hidden info that argy can do it only in pvp. And that is not enough as in past argy could pick up dodo also in pve what was disabled with an update after years of gameplay. So telling someone in game that his argy can pick up a dodo is full lie - not intentional lie but because you are not aware of that particular game update.

I have read on wiki that you use mejorbery to tame herbivore as it prefer mejo more than other beries. Later i found that mejorbery is only bery that herbivores dont want to eat and it always remain in trough. A lot of info from other players can be false due constant game updates and fixes. Well i could sel a newcomer an egg and fertilizer to apply on egg and then try to push it in cube too. Earth is flat.

I wish mutations of stats we obtain would be based on experience (usage of tame) tame get and not with mindless breeding as is now. So if you want damage then your tame need to live and grow trough hunting and dealing damage before he is ready for reproduction.

Yea a lot of things can be done without Tek. LIke lower food consumption for tames and low spoil rate of food in trough. no need of fridge om snow or ice biomes and similar Btw do you know tame who could cause that structures last 30+ days before decay and what tame i could use to store 540k ingots instead of tek dedicated storage?

Situation is created by developers with rarity and respawn timer on r seeds. So if a player want acquirement and unlock note it he need to try on several gen2 servers till he get one. Also because of rarity is almost impossible to get r-seed. In the end who wouldn't want to have prime meat or prime fish meat in any time in his base? If you could collect r-seeds like berries you would not have that problems.

Buying lvl 500 top stats Carcharodontosaurus with asc sadle. (now not after 5 years of breeding) It will be introduced too late in game and cant catch breaded giga except if his initial stats are pure fantasy-

Try PVE. Servers are full even if nobody is online, And is a lot harder than PVP so it is real challenge where imagination and patience will cross your limits. (you can't destroy enemy structure or tame)

Its 6 years from release and also from time games were around 50 USD. Cost of development and production is increased in that time, we have like 5 years of inflation to count too. Today basic games tend to be 60 - 70 USD at release and and each later dlc 40 to 50 USD. Your 20 USD is for old games. Also about your post "$300 ? I suggest to inform your self more as some "free" games gameplay cost 20 k USD as minimum because of pay to win and greedy monetization - you can also find on you tube dude who paid 100k USD to play an game ....

More they postpone it and longer they wait harder will be to be a hit as many other games of this kind are being developed and released.
