  1. Its early access because early access is a dev buzz word to throw out in an attempt to quell angry consumers when your game is a buggy unfinished mess that cant make its release date. The Forest 2 is an actual early access game that released in a bare bones state and has had a ton of content added since release. The "Early access" tag for ASA is nothing more than a facade. A game thats actually in "early access" doesnt have a dlc map 2 months later.

  2. As i write this, I am furious. Angry enough to make an account to come here and voice my frustrations. SE was a buggy mess, but it was always 'Early Access' and we knew it was basically a paid Beta. SA was supposed to be a finished product. So why the hell can't it so much as SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. I have lost hours of single player time, including a full imp'd Carcha that now hasn't even been bred yet. And this is AFTER using the 'Saveworld' console command. When i opened the game after work today, i was at the bottom of the ocean. My Rhynio was at the surface, to far to call down and i had no scuba because i wasn't free diving. Their are posts on the forum over a month old and still no damned fix. This game is far to unforgiving for this JV crap to happen. I used the console command, then i used the start menu to exit to main menu, closed the app and turned off my xbox like i always do. I took every step i could to curb this nonsense but to no avail. This isn't a finished product and the Devs have no right to demand payment for it. How can you expect us to shell out more money for Ark 2 when you can't even provide the games we've already paid you for. And for anyone who's about to comment something like 'but muh pvp', don't bother. I paid for a product that i have yet to receive (that being a completed, market ready game) and that's all that's relevant. I wasted half my day off on something that apparently never happened.

  3. It's in Early Access because the code base seems to be the same as 2015, when it was in Early Access. 😆

  4. I think it was both, but specifically ASA. The numbers come from Snail’s SEC quarterly fillings.

  5. Good point, the OP did say forever. That didn't click when I read it because I've never had that happen, Troodons have always been more than happy to kill me. They must like him better for some reason.

  8. These are as buggy, no pun intended, as it gets. Look at my profile and past threads about this dumb tame. Here is my input after wasting countless hours on these: Make sure the dino you're trying to get impregnated is one of the actual ones that is confirmed as working on officials (ie. Rexes, Parcers, Brontos, Diplos, etc) For example: No one on our official server seems to have been able to successfully get a spino impregnated even though folks have claimed they work fine. Get the bug down to 10% (To be completely safe, I was getting bugs down to less then 100 health and it worked) After its confirmed at 10% or less, THEN make your dino eat the phermone Be patient. Time for Wildcard and Ark moves completely differently from real time. It sometimes took 10-15 mins before the bug finally impregnated our dinos. No rhyme or reason why. Make sure the area you're trying to get the bug to impreg your dino is open and clear. That means no trees around, no tree platforms, etc. If the bug gets "stuck" on anything or bumps into anything while trying to fly up to do its animation, it wont impreg the dino. Ive found traps to be more of a hindrance then help despite dozens of folks having no issues. I did use a trap twice and it worked; other numerous times I had issues with traps and free range/no trap seemed to work better. When all else fails, stupid as it sounds, go out of render range and come back. Make sure ANYONE there with you does the same thing. Going out of render somehow "resets" the bug and it will do the animation and impreg the dino. we've had them get impregnated both when we were ON the dino and when we were OFF the dino. From my experience, it doesnt seem to matter either way. I hope some of this has helped. We have a number of bugs now (As awesome as they are after the nerf...).

  9. Hello. The official translation for my language (italian) is complete garbage, to the point the game is tedious to play and some stuff is barely playable because you literally can't understand what a thing is because the words are all mixed up. Even the menu texts are very bad, misleading, and mislabeled. I think this situation is also generating a revenue damage for Wildcard games, they could sell literally more in my country if only the translation was correct: many young people do not know English very well and will try the game in our language first, it's also the default when you download it from steam. I do not want only to complain and I prefer to take action: do any of you know if is there any translation project going on? I see there are many mods, maybe I could make a translation as a mod? How can I get involved in a community translation of the game? I myself would do much much better than the translation that is there right now.

  10. So how about you actually make the game playable for those of us on single player games? This save bug is ridiculous and it's been unplayable for a month

  11. If you want to do math. Just start doing it... Look at the rate at which the food drops for that dino. Example. Let it lose 500 food. See how long that takes. Its different for each dino/animal. Then look up, or check yourself how much food is restored when you give it a piece of that what you are planning on giving them. Then do math. Then, take in consideration that animals is stasis lose food at a somewhat slower rate. But other players could also get the babies of of stasis. Best to not keep in mind stasis. But it could give you some space... (I used to overdo it for myself. For most dinos I had the rule 1 row of food = 1 hour) (But thats way overdoing it. Its more like 1 stack of meat/berries = 30 minutes) Besides all. Its best to plan Ark breeding, and not let it have to disrupt your daily life. Say to yourself. I will only pop Babies saturday morning. so I can have 4-5 hours of dedication to the babies without creating too much stress on timers and other factors.
