  1. This morning we continued work on the base. Gathered metal and crystal and got a few more glass panels installed. Its going to be slow going untill we get time to find better crystal spawns. I flew by our rex factory to feed our breeder rex and noticed the generator was out of gas and all our meat was spoiled and the mountain of boss rex rggs were half spoiled I must have just thrown a few weeks worth of gas in then forgot to refill it, but Its full now and we have a surplus now that the main base is running on a tek generator. Before logging we fed all of our dinos. I think Im going to add a few rp structure/decoration mods so we can spruce up the base a bit and make it feel like home. Plans for this week are to continue working on the base. My main goal is to be fully moved in and have the middle section finished by the end of the weekend. Then we can move focus onto the rest of the list.

  2. T, B, and I logged on today, fed our dinos on Rag, and headed for our new Island server. T and B enjoyed flying around reminiscing for a few minutes before going to work. B ran the Mammoth down into the forest for wood, while T and I gathered stone and crafted materials for our perimeter wall. Somehow, B managed to wander all the way to the volcano and run right into a Giga... Rip Mammoth. Picked up B, and dropped him off at Carno Island to think about what he'd done. T and I continued working while B built a raft and escaped. He managed to work his way back to our base, (resourceful punk) shot us both with tranq arrows, and after a brief scuffle, we laughed it off and continued working. Managed to build quite a few materials and we all logged after a few hours.

  3. With the release of ARK: Survival Evolved on iOS and Android right around the corner, we thought now would be a good time to talk about the in-app purchases that will be available to you upon launch. We know that in-app purchases bring out a wide array of opinions, and we’ve sought to offer a gameplay experience that will suit many different types of players. Ancient Amber For those who never want to spend a dime on the game, you don’t have to. ARK: Survival Evolved is free-to-play on iOS and Android, and you can obtain every purchasable structure, item and buff in the game without spending any money. Ancient Amber is a rare resource that can also be purchased (making it an in-game currency) and is tied to your account on an individual server or in single player. It can be obtained without purchasing it directly in a variety of ways: Harvested from large predators Found in Amber deposits scattered around The Island Random chance to obtain from Free Gifts From watching Ads Random chance to obtain from stones picked up off the ground Additionally, we have optional timed XP Boosts and Free Gifts that can be redeemed multiple times per day in return for watching an ad. When it comes to what you can spend your Ancient Amber on, we have many different types of purchases available. All of these have been created with the goal of offering convenient options for players who are not able to put in the hours to grind out everything they want in the game. These purchases include: Structures - Primarily, paid structures include crafting stations that can be used to instantly craft items for yourself or your tribe, including other structures, ammunition, kibble, and paint dyes. These structures become available for purchase as you level up. For example the Lumber Mill, which is used to build wooden structures, becomes available for purchase at Level 15. Buffs - Timed buffs are available to help you get through tough situations. Available buffs include increased weight capacity, resistance to weather elements, and reduced hunger. Items - Single-use consumable items such as the Soothing Balm, which increases your taming effectiveness when fed to a wild creature. Primal Pass We also offer a subscription service that applies across all servers and in Single Player with Primal Pass. Primal Pass is available on a subscription basis for $3.99 a month, or you can purchase the annual pass for $34.99. With Primal Pass you get a permanent double XP buff, the removal of all ads (including those on the aforementioned Free Gifts), reserved slots on all servers, early access to news & upcoming special events, and access to our Primal Pass-exclusive servers. The Primal Pass-exclusive servers are our solution for those who desire a premium experience with less potential paid imbalance. On these servers, all paid structures are disabled and only buffs and items may be purchased. Thus there is no direct way to purchase harvestable resources or structures that could give an advantage to a paying player. We believe these will be a popular choice for seasoned ARK players looking for the most familiar experience. We hope that this overview expresses the great care we’ve taken to make ARK: Survival Evolved an enjoyable experience for all types of mobile players. We believe in giving players choice, and hope that is reflected in the decisions we have made. We look forward to hearing your feedback and continuing the discussion with our community. See you on The Island, War Drum Studios

  4. That is actually a really smart idea of being proactive enforcing these rules from both of you. Very creative and doesn't sound to intense for the devs to code in if they decided to. Would definitely stop all of the people who are trying to bring the same crap to the new servers by the sounds of what the common complaints are already. ? Not to mention it keeps customer support from being clogged up by tickets filed due to people breaking these rules. @Jen @Jatheish @Eli

  5. I can't say for sure, but I'm positive this would be considered circumventing the six member limit.

  8. They made this change because people were asking for it. It’s only on Small Tribe servers. If you don’t like it you can play on regular servers.

  9. Installed Eco's decoration mods: Gardens, Shoppe, Stables and Trees - realised I have no idea what I'm doing with them or what they are capable of so instead of wasting resources on my server drop off into single player for a couple hours into creative mode, spawn in some materials and build each of the items available. I now have some ideas for a build on our server so will update again in a few days with pictures when I make some progress.

  10. Joint raids against one or more tribes (including cross-server) Sharing tame breeding lines between tribes Sharing tames between tribes I have actually no idea how you ever going to enforce these rules above. I would love to see exactly how you guys try to do that. Even on top of everything, if you guys figure out how to police all of those rules that legit would ruin the social aspect / political game. All of you would be killing the "political plays" that people could pull of in getting themselves out of bad situations or to get them into good ones. I see this game as a PVP game, PVE game, and a political game. You need all three of those aspects of the game to survive in the ARK community. Whenever you see anybody in open world flying on their argies / pteras / quetz. Most people will say "hey how's it going". To try and build a relationship and a reputation on the server to keep their tribe alive and healthy. If you take away the political game away from ARK you will be killing ones of the ways ARK is meant to be played. If you apply this rule, I ask one thing of you guys please up the amount of people in tribe to at least 8-10. Most tribes are having to make 2 tribes to play "together" to actually try and have fun on this server. Thanks, sincerely half of the damn ARK community
