Hey Survivors! The wait is finally over, welcome to ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition. We’re excited to welcome you to a new Free-to-Play experience on Android and iOS with access to everything that the ARK franchise has to offer. The game is downloadable now from the App Store or Google Play Store, and is coming in 2025 to the Epic Games Store. We’ve put together this guide to give you an overview of everything to expect. WHAT’S THE SAME? ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition is the same ARK experience that you know and love from PC and consoles. Our game brings all of your favorite expansion packs, dinosaurs and boss battles to mobile devices for the first time. WHAT’S DIFFERENT? Unlike PC and Console, ARK is Free-to-Play on mobile devices. All players gain access to The Island for free where all gameplay is unlocked without spending a dime. For players looking to expand on their ARK experience, we have additional purchases available; ARK PASS ARK Pass is the ultimate way to experience ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition. With monthly & annual subscription offerings, ARK Pass grants access to everything that ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition has to offer. That includes: Access to every expansion pack as they are released God Console in Single Player Monthly drop of free Keys 10% bonus on all Keys purchases Permanent Double XP in all game modes Special designation in Multiplayer chat Access to exclusive servers Two weeks’ early access to new game content KEYS Keys are a new virtual currency within ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition which give you the ability to “hack” different parts of your gameplay. The daily login bonus provides free Keys for all players, and additional Keys can be obtained with ARK Pass, purchased in packs from the store, or found in Supply Drops. Keys may be used in the following ways: Crafting Taming Supply Drops Baby Raising Weight Limits Instant Hatch Cryo Capture Keys are tied to your online account and the balance is shared across servers. EXPANSION PACKS Scorched Earth and Aberration are available on launch day. For those who do not subscribe to ARK Pass, these maps can be purchased individually. Extinction, Ragnarok, Genesis Part 1 and Genesis Part 2 will all be released in 2025. GOD CONSOLE God Console is a unique interface for Single Player that allows you to spawn in resources, easily access popular cheats, and gain full access to console commands. God Console is included with your ARK Pass subscription or can be purchased individually. OFFICIAL SERVERS Our 50-player launch servers will be rolling out in waves beginning at 2pm EST on Dec 18th. We will be offering servers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania (Australia / New Zealand) with the following configurations. We had a blast showing off ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition this past weekend. If you missed the gameplay reveal, you can go back and watch it here. Now that the dodo’s out of the bag, we’d like to take this opportunity to answer some of your questions and dive deeper into some topics we covered on the stream. GENERAL How much does it cost? ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition is Free-to-Play, with additional maps beyond the Island available for purchase. When can I play it? The game will be released in December 2024. We’d like to have it in players’ hands by Christmas. What devices can play the game? On iOS, you will need a device that can run iOS 18. A full list of compatible iOS devices can be found here. Please note that we cannot officially support the iPhone Xr, this device will have a sub-optimal game experience. On Android, you will need a device with at least 4GB of RAM that can run a recent version of the Android OS. Due to the wide array of device configurations available for Android, we cannot provide a definitive list of supported devices. Devices we've confirmed can run the game: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (Snapdragon chipset), Samsung Galaxy S24 (Exynos chipset), OnePlus 12R, Nothing Phone 2, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 8a, Google Pixel 7, Google Pixel 6, Google Pixel 5, Razer Phone 2, Samsung Galaxy S21 Unsupported devices: Xiaomi Poco M6 Pro (Mali GPU), Samsung Galaxy A24 (Mali GPU) What store can I download it from? On iOS, you can download the game from the App Store in any region. If in Europe, you also have the choice of downloading from the Epic Games Store. On Android, you can download the game from the Google Play Store or Epic Games Store in any region. How much storage will I need on my device? Players will need approximately 7GB of storage for the base game and approximately 1 - 2GB of storage for each additional map downloaded. Are Survivors locked to one device? Your multiplayer Survivors are tied to your login account. This account can be used on additional devices, but may only be signed in to one device at a time. Support for taking Single Player saves across devices will not be available at launch. Will my progress or purchases from the old ARK Mobile game carry forward to the new one? No. ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition is a fresh experience based on the console versions of ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition. Nothing from the old game is compatible with the new one. MULTIPLAYER How many servers will be available at launch? Our Official Server rollout will be slow and gradual to ensure a smooth launch. We will continue launching Official Servers in batches until we have enough capacity for all players. Will there be Unofficial Servers? Unofficial Servers will not be available at launch. We hope to make them available post-release but have no timetable to announce at this time. Will there be Non-Dedicated sessions? This game does not support Non-Dedicated sessions due to the hardware limitations of mobile devices. Will there be anti-cheat? This game will be launching with a fresh suite of security and anti-cheat measures, which will continue to be updated post-release. For security purposes, we will not discuss these matters in any further detail. GAMEPLAY Can I adjust the stats for my Single Player game? Yes, you can adjust the stats of your Single Player game, including access to presets for Easy, Medium and Hard difficulties. Does [insert map name] have X, Y, or Z content? No content has been cut from any of the maps. If it exists in ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition on other platforms, then you will find it here too. Will [insert ASA creature] be coming to the game? No, the goal of this game is to match all content from ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition. Anything created for ARK: Survival Ascended will not be coming to the mobile game. Will there be mod support? No, mod support is not available for ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition. PURCHASES What’s included in the ARK Pass? ARK Pass is a subscription that can be purchased monthly or annually. While your subscription is active, you will have access to all released maps, God Console, and additional perks such as bonus XP and monthly drops of free Keys. Can I buy maps individually? Yes, maps can be purchased individually. How much will maps cost? Pricing details are still being finalized for each region. Players can expect the cost of purchasing all expansion maps + God Console to be comparable to a full-priced console game. What is God Console? God Console is an interface for Single Player that allows easy access to commonly used cheats and spawning resources. For ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition, God Console now includes full access to console commands too! Can I buy God Console individually? Yes, God Console can be purchased individually. What are Keys? Keys are the name of our in-game currency. All players can obtain Keys from a daily login bonus, purchase from the store, or in a free drop from being an ARK Pass subscriber. What will players use Keys on? Keys can be used for various tasks in the game to make your mobile experience more convenient. This new on-the-go adaptation of ARK, coming to both iOS and Android, is planned for a launch in Holiday 2024, and is a massive mobile dino-adventure which will include the original full-scale PC game plus all the massive ARK expansion packs - Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2, plus the fan-favorite Ragnarok community-created map and more - ensuring thousands of gameplay hours. As we approach the third anniversary of ARK Mobile, our team is looking at ways to really set this game up for the long haul. We intend to support this game for many years to come, and there are some changes we need to make so that our relatively small team can support our game more efficiently. Read on to learn about some upcoming changes during the month of March; REMOVAL OF ADS First up, we are removing all in-game ads from ARK Mobile in our next major update. We’ve reached this decision after careful consideration of many factors - most notably privacy concerns with ad tracking, inappropriate ads being served to our players, and the constant need for backend updates to support the latest types of ads. While this will be welcome news to most, we are aware that many players rely on these ads to procure Ancient Amber and Free Gifts, among other instances. As such, the following changes will go live in the next update alongside the removal of ads; Supply Drops will be added to Single Player and PvE, making them available in all game modes. Supply Drops will have an approximate 25% chance to grant a small amount of Ancient Amber to the first player who opens it. Free Gifts will remain in the game and continue to provide a chance at a small gift of Ancient Amber. We are increasing the amount of Ancient Amber that can be obtained from Daily Pursuits by 50% for our Primal Pass holders. STORE REFRESH To coincide with the removal of ads, we will be making some adjustments to the in-game store. Over time our in-game store has grown to include over 175 different items, making the task of browsing all available items quite daunting. With our next update, we are making three key changes; The majority of Skins, Implant Grafts, Decor items, and Collars will be removed from their store folders and placed into our vault. Different vaulted items will appear throughout the week at the top of the store in the slot previously occupied by the Daily Sale Item. A selection of popular items from the above categories will remain available in the store at all times, alongside other favorites & consumables such as Crafting Stations, Balms, Buffs and Tickets. We are adjusting pricing on the majority of items available in the store to account for the removal of ads. These prices will raise approximately 5 - 10%. CHEATS (THE BATTLE CONTINUES…) Our team is well aware of the various cheats and exploits being used across our Multiplayer servers. We are constantly working behind the scenes to address these issues, and we often release updates in secret to combat these exploits and identify those abusing them. We have made a conscious effort to not discuss these changes publicly very often, as we do not want to draw more attention to these cheats or give the cheats’ creators ideas on how we’re detecting them. We are committed to continuing this fight, and will not rest until we can deliver a balanced experience for all of our players. OFFICIAL SERVERS Throughout the year, we evaluate the population of our Official Servers to determine when more servers are needed, and when perhaps we have too many. Last year, when COVID-19 forced the majority of the world into quarantine, we added more Official Servers to accommodate all of the new players joining us. Now that our player population has returned to pre-quarantine numbers, it is time for us to phase out some of our lower population servers. Before we do so, we’ll be launching a batch of new Official Servers and placing the majority of our PvE servers into Moratorium, in order to free up space for our players transitioning off of phased out servers. We’ll follow all of this up with a special Survival Surge event featuring 4x Harvesting on the weekend of March 19th to help these players get established on new servers. New Servers launch on Tuesday, March 9th at 12:00pm EST Server Moratorium will activate on Friday, March 5th at 12:00pm EST until Thursday, March 11th at 12:00pm EST Server Phase Outs will begin on Thursday, March 11th at 12:00pm EST and these servers will be brought down on Thursday, March 18th at 12:00pm EST Survival Surge will be held on all servers beginning on Friday, March 19th and lasting through the weekend NEW SERVERS We are happy to introduce the oft-requested PvP Duos servers to ARK Mobile on March 9th. These highly competitive servers have Tribe Alliances turned off and allow for tribe sizes of just 2 Survivors. Boosted rates are permanently active on these servers just as they are on Small Tribes variants. During Moratorium, no structures can be placed and no creatures can be tamed. SERVER PHASE OUTS Beginning on March 11th at 12:00pm EST, the servers listed below will be placed into Phase Out. Once the Phase Out process begins, players will have 7 days to transfer off of these servers. No new players will be able to join these servers, and all existing players will be given access to a Free Server Transfer Ticket in the in-game store. The Free Server Transfer Ticket allows for a free revival on each of your tame implants and has also been adjusted to allow your Element balance & Dungeon Keys to come with you (*You will not see the Element or Keys listed in your Server Transfer Ticket UI, but it will come with you so long as it is in your inventory when you upload the Ticket). As a reminder, when transferring off of one of these servers, please make sure that the creature implants you decide to bring with you are from tames which are personally owned. Any implants from creatures not personally owned will revive as wild and incur the standard Amber revival cost. Blitzmas is coming to ARK Mobile on Tuesday, December 22nd. This special holiday event combines our bi-monthly Blitz Week with this year’s holiday festivities. We’ve got Gift Drops around the Island, Blitz Dungeons, Boosted Rates, & Wild Eerie Spawns in Multiplayer and a whole lot more for players to enjoy. Blitzoween is coming to ARK Mobile from Tuesday, October 27th through Tuesday, November 3rd. This rare event combines our bi-monthly Blitz Week with this year’s Halloween festivities for a whopping good time on the Island. This year’s event brings Trick or Treat chests to a daily featured Dungeon, the return of Pumpkin drops around the Island with updated loot, and wild Eerie dino spawns in multiplayer. Players on Official Servers may also notice that night time lasts a little longer… Before the festivities begin, we’ll be placing some of our capped Official PvE & PvX servers into Moratorium to ensure that all of our online players have a fair shake at getting some new Eerie tames. Blitz Week returns on September 1st! For the next 7 days, encounter a different previously-released Dungeon voted on by the community. These Dungeons have been revamped with 2x Eery Element rewards, a 2x chance at encountering Noctis, passive Eerie Equus spawns and come with a reduced timer to keep you on your toes. Additionally, players on Official Servers will find the rising prices of Toilet Paper reset at the start of Blitz Week. HOW DOES IT WORK? In Multiplayer, players can access each Dungeon on the day that it is featured with the standard free entry. In Single Player, players can access all 7 Dungeons for the entire week. The standard free entry will apply on the day a Dungeon is featured, and a higher entry fee will be applied on all non-featured days. WHAT'S DIFFERENT? All Dungeons will have their timers reduced by half. You must complete them with haste. You will be twice as likely to encounter Noctis. Eery Element rewards are doubled to 20 in Multiplayer and 40 in Single Player. There is a chance of finding an Eerie Equus roaming the halls of each Dungeon. WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
