  1. Hey Survivors! Welcome to the latest edition of the Community Crunch! Evolution Event Weekend: CrossARK Transfers! Through the weekend the Official ARK Network will be affected by an Evolution Event! Survivors playing this weekend will get to experience the following bonuses: 2x Harvesting Rate 2x Taming Rate 2x EXP Rate So be sure to log in and enjoy the increased rates whilst you can! The event will end at 12PM EDT on Monday the 21st of November. We also announced a very important change coming to the Official ARK PC Network, as of this update and soon to come to Xbox. Here's a little snippet from the announcement... We recommend that Survivors read the full announce from Jat as there was a lot of valuable information provided, and your feedback will be highly valued through this process! PACH 252 The big one is coming up! It'll introduce 4 New Dinos: Achatina, Megalosaurus, Moschops, and of course the Pachyrhinosaurus! We're also planning on introducing our newly redesigned caves for The Island, that have undergone a huge redesign, both from a visual and gameplay point of view. With this update, of course, it will mean that ALL Cave structures on The Island will be wiped due to the changes being made, so if you're in a Cave on The Island - you might want to consider relocation! Keep in mind this is just the first part of the cave update, and we'll be introducing more work done to the underwater caves, and Tek Cave! Xbox One Black Friday Sale! ARK: Turkey Trial! The ARK: Turkey Trial 2 event begins soon on PC! Survivors will be given the opportunity to participate in the turkey-hunt of their lives. ARK: Turkey Trial 2 will throw survivors into a large-scale scavenger hunt and allow them to carve up the rare “Super-Turkeys” unleashed across the ARK! By harvesting sufficient Super Turkey Wishbones from these bloodthirsty, genetically-modified creatures, players can craft their very own stylish "Chieftain" Hat, or choose to summon the devastating DodoRex creature to do their bidding for a limited period of time. Brand new to this year's event, you will also be able to earn custom event-themed Emotes! The event will be on all Official maps: Scorched Earth, The Center, and The Island. It all begins November 23rd! ARK: SotF - October Survivor League Championship! The ARK: Survival of the Fittest October Survivor League Championship matches will take place from 11 am EST to 2 pm EST on Saturday, 19th of November, with a bounty of more than $65,000 in prizes to the winners! I’m here to talk about a few of the things going on in the lab but since I know pictures are worth a thousand words - it will be mostly pictures! I’ve been working on fixing the remaining issues that are currently in Primitive Plus, including snap points. The focus hasn’t been on making new content, but polishing what already exists. When I started creating Primitive Plus, I didn't know much about game design or modelling. Because of that, a lot of the things I originally design didn’t mesh well with what currently exists in the game. Structures are a prime example of this. When I designed them, I didn’t take into account the dimensions of the current structures for things like wall sizes, and window and door positions. While the focus isn’t on adding new content, there are times when fixing a bug necessitates adding new content. A lot of what I’ve been working on recently requires new /meshes. I’m currently testing to see what impact this will have on existing structures. Here’s an example of what you can expect to see for the structures in the next patch. As we get closer to seeing some of the end-game content, like TEK tier, I have been getting a lot of questions on what end-game content looks like for Primitive Plus. I’ve been putting a lot of thought into this while also waiting to see what content is added to the main game. We don’t need another Adobe structure confusion Please note that the list below is not final and there will be additions and potentially removals of what’s listed. Keep your ideas coming! Trebuchets Battering rams, Alchemy (potions) Recurve bows Tomahawks Different ammunition types for catapults/turrets Boats/Ships Additional Armor With that said, I’m going to get back to the lab and leave you with some content that could be nearing you soon!   2. @JenI am confused. You said it will be a "permanent" change, then you said "...keep in mind these changes may not be final. " Which is it? I assume the latter. Bare in mind that I have faith that you guys will make the game the best it can be, and make decisions that allow the most fun for everyone.

  3. Oh well have to stick to normal dinos then. weekends will be dedicated to taming invasion dinos,killing titans to level up then transfer we go Could always collect 100 wishbones on the server thats getting invaded. Im so excited for this you have no idea lol

  4. I think they should consider that once you've chosen a cluster of servers to transfer to that should be locked in for those dinos. Example would be 116 kibble tamed giga from NA Off Serv 638 gets transferred from 638 to SE Off Serv 942 that Giga can be transferred back and forth between 638 and 942 unlimited times (with the 12 hour cool down of course) but it CANNOT be transferred from SE Off Serv 942 to SE Off Serv 943 or Off Serv 639. So this would mean that a single dino would be limited to three servers. With the above mentioned scenario, that still leaves the giga open to joining any Center Map Off Server, but once it has been teleported to a Center Map (ex Off Serv 761) the cluster group is complete. So my 116 giga is now locked into moving between Island 638<-> SE 942 <-> Center 761. Now I am not proposing that the player's character be locked onto those three servers just the dinos. If I had two 116 giga's on 638 and I sent one to the 638, 942, 761 cluster I should be free to send my second 116 giga from 638 to 943, 762 and back. It would also be nice to see the tribe log getting an update to give more details, such as what cluster of servers a specific dino who destroyed your tame or building was apart of. I think this would balance a tribe dropping onto a server number just pulled out of the hat and doing damage then leaving and the victim has no way to retaliate because they don't have a clue as to what server the dino or tribe was from or transferred to. I really like the obvious dedication WCS has put into the base game after SE went live. I was very skeptical about their dedication to the base when the expansion came out, but I feel they are sticking to their words and moving forward on the game ARK: Survival Evolved. Any thoughts?

  5. First off thanks for the update and the detailed response. It shows that you are indeed listening to community and I think everyone appreciates that. At least now no server is untouchable, which is what I believe this change was intending to address. Previously SE tribes could raid others at will with no fear of reprisal since you couldn't transfer anything other than your naked char to SE. Now at least SE raiding tribes that exclusively raid other servers can get hit back.

  6. I don´t understand someone playing on a PVP server if he doesnt like to fight. People only like to fight the wars they are sure they will win. Big alliances between servers are being made. It´s really awesome the path this game is following. Now diplomacy is more important then the hard power. You have to have the more allies you can. If you´re a Big tribe all alone in your server, you are not safe. Anyways, really happy with this new possibility. Thank you very much WC!!! Really thrilled. Loved to see my island tames on scorched. The game is reaching a new level. Please don´t limit the game again. I´m amazed with this new level of freedom.

  8. Silly question, but can I ask what the difference was between being wiped by a transfer tribe over one on your server? Just curious. Outside of that, there just needs to be more strategy involved in PvP. It's extremely time consuming to build up and very fast to fall down. I think the transfers are just going to add additional fuel to a fire that's already burning away. There's some major balance issues in ARK that need addressing before release.

  9. This is what's been happening to many Island and Centre tribes for quite some time already . I expect some growing pains , but I think that if we give it some time and more benevolent alphas start communicating with each other , we'll see organised retaliation soon

  10. While that sounds lovely the reality will be that VDD will come raid your base at 4am from under the ground and because you weren't there to film it in triplicate WC will just give them a pat on the back.

  11. so its a "good pvp server" when you have someone literally rocket your base to the ground every 24 hours. i have a small tribe. we are allied to bigger tribes. but it doesnt matter now because my server was already raided ! my base is gone. so is 3/4 of the server lol. GG Ps. you try getting wiped every 24 hours and tell me your having a good time rofl.

  12. 50+ raiding tribes are going to use the already massive amount of servers they have to raid every server, ruining the entire community people have built up on offical servers over the year of playing with each other. VDD have 100+ players 10+ islands servers and guess what, they have my server targeted, I'm not going to give them the chance to offline raid me so I'm de-spawning my base and hoping onto another game.
