NukeZX
I was just wondering; is there any NPC that can kill a doed since it will just ball up and laugh while watching the telly inside? I see more and more doeds from players just set on wandering and travelling all over the region of the Island where I live...
XaralDoBruxo
I, myself have only killed one. It took a fair chunk of my metal pike durability. When attacking with tamed dinos, when doed ball up, aggro is lost. When they subsequently unball, aggro is resumed if still in same area (even if you're inside a walled area). I have yet to see a wild dino kill one, either wild or tamed.
Volunteer Moderator Jerryn Posted June 8, 2016 Volunteer Moderator Share Posted June 8, 2016 I have seen wild gigas kill them. Even at a 90% reduction(Doed balled up), a wild giga with no damage level ups should still do 120 (less any other modifiers). Now with the new RPG damage numbers popping up, should be easier to test with a tamed giga and few wild doeds.

I've also seen a wild giga kill a doed, when we first got our giga way back on our old server i went and chomped a wild level 100 doed that was tanking our plants for dayssss 1 hit kill

Otherwise, you have to drop it off out of its region and let it despawn.
swurvy
I just aggro them, and kite them to water. Once they're in the water, hit them until they ball up. As long as their head is submerged they will lose oxygen, then health, then die. Definitely not the fastest tactic but it does work.
KingRizen
Best way to get rid of them is to knock them out with arrows or darts then eat them or kill them, easy stuff.

LegendEternal
+1 to the dropping in water thing. That's how I clear out low levels trying to get better ones to spawn. Drop them near sharks, so they don't swim back to shore.

NukeZX
I only use them to farm stone manually, I see more and more doeds on wandering. Didn't know they farmed themselves while on wandering. If so, the balling up technique is quite a way to get easy stone without any effort. Well, you still have to get the doed wherever it wanders.
