Reed7314
Does having thousands of dinos in cryo cause lag? Been trying to sort out some lag issues on my server. We have several tribes that have upwards of 10k tamed dinos in cryo each. Would that have any sort of effect on the lag?
GrumpyBear
I imagine the hundreds of structures added into a densely packed space adds a bit of lag.
Oli4
Dinos stored in cryopods shouldn't make the server lag, having them out will
Andrewrayven
Having them out with all the tail movements and animations running every time someone flies by their base causes lag across the server. Large bases as well but what I have noticed is that the base lag is not as bad as when that same base has 200 dino's out.
Reed7314
Ya I know having them out will. I'm an admin on a boosted server. I have a few tribes that have upwards of 150 cryo fridges and each on is almost completely full.
Reed7314
I'm just trying to narrow down some issues. Wasn't sure if having that many fridges maxed with dinos if the server would still have to "code" as someone flew by.
brenon45
Too many structures, any and all dino movement cause some lag, even more a if they are touching, ark god forbid if the dino touch a structure.
FreddyFCT
No.
Aylana314159
The structures to store all those cryopods could cause lag, if they are constantly being rendered and part of huge bases. If you use teleporters and teleport into big bases, forcing everything to render at once, causes lag.
