  1. Wow, I love all of the awesome abilities and of course the design itself! If this had been submitted earlier I imagine it would be close to if not in the running for sure. If you don't get a lucky break this time around you should resubmit this for another map with Aberration elements like Valguero, Crystal Isles, or Fjordur!
  2. Hmm, you know Austroraptor was known for having a long, narrow snout and being piscivorous right? It was not anything close to the feathered Indoraptor pictured here.
  3. Aww, this is pretty neat; maybe too late in the game to have a chance in this contest but you should get in early on one of the next ones if you don't make it far here!
  4. It's called having an imagination, and if we're limiting ourselves to what's absolutely realistic then being a wyvern killer makes no sense because large azhdarchids were terrestrial predators despite being capable of powered flight. The concept behind this is what would happen to a large azhdarchid on Aberration? So it's not what *I* did to it, it's what I think would happen to it under Aberration's conditions. Is that really such a hard notion for you to grasp? Edit: Honestly doesn't it make sense that a terrestrial predator forced into a subterranean habitat would just lose the ability to fly? I really don't see the issue here.
  5. Good to know, too bad it doesn't seem to stand a chance in this contest at this point. The Top 10 seem pretty well solidified by now.
  6. I can understand where you're coming from on the other points, but too big? Bigger than a karkinos or a basilisk? Heck, even a Diplodocus? A reaper? Because those are all in the same size range if not bigger and they work on the map just fine. To say this is too big for Aberration makes zero dense. Anyway, the whole point of Aberration is that the inhabitants have deviated from their natural forms to adapt to the harsh, dim, radioactive climate... So to me its a fair question to ask what would a flyer be like if it adapted to Aberration's conditions? We already have Quetzalcoatlus as the in-game flying azhdarchid, and if fans wanted another one there are still a few others to choose from in that size range such as Arambourgiania and Cryodrakon. I don't see the issue with having one member of the family that is a little more unique than the others for a unique map.
  7. Interesting! Sounds to me like this concept is a natural fit for Aberration then. It is a pity most people don't seem to be seeing what we see in this idea, and the restricted voting doesn't help either. It's hard going up against the juggernaut submissions that probably have some content creator somewhere promoting the absolute fudge out of them.
  8. Hmmm, this interpretation is so far removed from the real animal I really don't think this should count for the "must be a real extinct animal" rule. Also, we already have the Monkeydactylus submission which appears to have similar colors and taming method to Avatar's banshee and it at least resembles the real animal.
  9. To be fair all of these creature contests have been an absolute wild west in terms of curation so I'm not surprised a situation like this arose. It's too bad because I really like both of your ideas.
  10. Very neat idea, but I think submissions need to be EXTINCT creatures... Maybe find a prehistoric equivalent?
  11. Since this creature is obviously going to win the contest I just want to put out there that I'd really prefer this to be rideable as opposed to a shoulder pet, I know I've seen some suggestions of it being a shoulder pet but in my opinion that would really be a waste of this creature on a map like Aberration.
  12. I just polished up the dossier and generally revamped the entry. This is my first time messing with the dossier template so I've been really practicing on improving my presentation. Please consider voting for this awesome creature! I know we're quite far behind a lot of other entries but there is still plenty of time left in the contest to make a comeback. Thanks to everyone who has at least checked this out!
  13. Something about this creature's name is familiar but I can't put a finger on it. 😛 Have you seen my flightless Hatzegopteryx submission? There seem to be some similarities but also some differences, ultimately whether it's Hatzegopteryx or Arambourgiania doesn't matter to me as long as a flightless azhdarchid gets a fair shot here, I think something like this would be really fitting for Aberration!
  14. I suppose the Megaraptor Blades weapon is pretty cool, but otherwise I'm not seeing much more than what Aberration already offers here. Spinosaurus (of which there are plenty on Ab) is already an excellent fighter with a great turn radius and damage buff near water, and the rock drake (which is meant to be a late-game reward) offers that incognito maneuverability through the caverns as a reward for going through the effort to tame one. Ultimately though, regardless of its abilities I just don't want another big theropod winning when there are so many other diverse creatures in the running, especially for a map like Aberration. In general, the game already offers plenty of large theropods and this just sounds like a mini Giga/Carc with some rock drake sprinkled on top. I know a lot of effort was clearly put into this submission and I'm obviously not affronting the creator themselves.
  15. Gosh I'd love to have a platform saddle arthropod in the game. I really like the Colossuscorpius mod on the Steam Workshop. Something like that.
  16. Interesting range of abilities that I can definitely see being useful on Aberration! It'd be really nice to get something "different" like this instead of a standard dinosaur or mammal.
  17. Considering Gigas and rexes are absent on Aberration I dunno if something like this is a good fit for this map.
  18. Great, unique idea for Aberration! Really fits the unnerving atmosphere the map offers. It'd be cool to see something very different like this added to the game, change it up from the dinosaurs and giant insects.
  19. As much as I hate to admit it because I have my own stakes in this contest, I've voted for this jumping spider every time it's made an appearance and I cannot deny it would be an excellent fit for Aberration. May the best creature win.
  20. I absolutely adore cephalopods and would love to have more in the game! There's a couple of other giant octopus submissions I've seen and I'm here for all of them.
