Staroteuthis Luminae is a deep sea predator using its translucent skin as a camouflage to stalk and a bioluminescent pulse, reminiscent of a plant z fruit, to stun its prey. After stunning, the staro uses its sucker-lined arms to hold its prey still as it devours.
In the wild, the Staroteuthis' main diet consists of the bile produced by ammonites which makes this passive tame difficult to secure as feeding it the bile causes all other sea life attack it.
While the Staro can only be found in the depths of aberration's waters, domesticated, survivors have been able to bring this octopus on land. With its suckers, the staro has even been known to climb the walls of enemy bases to stun enemy survivors and dinos.
