3 answers and all of em complete Trash. Even the mod joins. Wow.

i cant help but this permanent sarcasm about ARK and how it sux just ist so annoying

The answer is there. You just got to read it a little different...
Besides that. These questions are probably asked dozens of times and the internet must be able to provide plenty of answers or feedback on this topic that would give insight. Why answer to a question every time that has been asked and answered noumerous times...
But yes, its an indication on how much ASA (official) sucks...
-> Mod should merge this to another topic...
THough the Op doesnt give a lot of background info neither. Thats a question thats doomed to get a proper answer...

Tell me what?

Your post raises questions that need to be answered:

1) When you say, "Used 800 narcos" do you mean 800 narcoberries or 800 narcotics? Many people have made the mistake of accidentally using berries instead of narcotics. If you're using berries then it takes a lot more than 800.

2) Did you also use taming food? From what you said in your post it looks like you might have only given them narcs but left out the taming food. Narcotics don't tame anything, they only keep it knocked out while the taming food does the work.

3) If you gave it taming food, which taming food did you use? The amount of narcotics you need changes a lot depending on which food you used.

On laggy servers, gigas are notorious for dropping torpor while you're feeding them narcs.

My advice is to trap it so that it doesnt escape when it wakes up. Do not start feeding until its food stat is low enough to eat all the kibble at once.

Only feed it narcs, and no while its torpor bar is already full, as the overflow torpor will be wasted. So let it drop a little then stack the narcs. Always bring 3+ times the amount required.

A phenomenon may occur where while the torpor is slowly rising from narcs, it starts randomly losing 200 ish torpor every few seconds. At this point you must prepare for it to wake up and have to tranq it again.

It's a bug. But starve tame it to avoid wasting your kibble the first time around
