Finally brought this over to the official forum, enjoy!

Welcome Survivors to this great thread to learn about the new and upcoming animals that will land in your Ark! This informational thread will include all you need to know about any animal.

I want to say a special Thank You to the Devs for adding my custom name for the Ape officially into the game. When the dossier dropped with just ????? Instead of a name. I made the name Megapithecus up for the ape because it needed a name. With the latest update I learned the devs actually started calling it megapithecus too. Im honored to have had a part in making the game, even just this tiny part. Thank you Wildcard Studios!

Please note that:
1. I apologize if there is some format errors. Since this was copied over from steam, the forum is acting funny. Everytime I hit enter to add a new dino it double spaces the paragraphs. I do not know how to get around it. If you see dino's listed with a big space between them, this is why. If you know how to fix this without typing just spaces, please let me know. Solved Thank you!
2. I AM NOT A DEV/ADMIN
3. Animals Listed as INGAME are ingame, Ones that are listed as CONFIRMED are still in development.
4. Male and Female versions of each species are ingame.
5. There's around 25,000-30,000 NPCS on the Ark. Yes, this is true and OFFICIALLY confirmed.
6. Animals are listed as who was confirmed first. Alphabetical order will come when everything has been confirmed.

He died of hypothermia ( we lost power that night), the next was "Spiny"(Green Iguana). I grew really attached to him, but he stopped eating so we sold him to one of my classmates(at the time)'s older brother, who then sold him to a breeder as he had gotten to 5', and shortly after a mass robbery of reptile-breeders took place, so either he is getting the ladies or he is getting the ladies...Either way he is probably happy.

I use to have two Chinese water dragon's an uromastyx and a african fat tail gecko Other pets included 2 dogs ( a german sheperd and a sherpay) 6 frogs a toad and a turtle all long lived but deceased :(

(Now that I think about I had tons of pets lol)

There not just good tempered reptiles...there literally one of the best reptiles out there. They have tiny teeth that cant break skin, they require no UVB or Heat lamps and there Frugivores, I feed mine the watermelon pangea diet.  The only thing they need is high humidity, which is accomplished with a fogger(which i have) or a simple spray in the morning and at night. They like the same climate humans do, a cozy 72 degree's Fahrenheit. Same with there eggs, all you need to do for there eggs is just put them in vermiculite thats moist(not soggy) and leave them in a tupperware box(with some holes). There the hardiest reptile that I know of, which blows my mind as to why the F*** the stores price them so expensively

 

the only con about them is that there nocturnal.  

 

If you live in the USA, look on craigslist or on facebook. Where I live theres several reptile groups for selling babies or adopting. Thats where you can find adults for cheap.

I think the other cool thing about them is how they we're thought to be extinct

And its cool how they only need pangea diet
