  1. Extinction493 is a mess still. Global disconnects, 255 ping and horrible lag every few minutes. For at least a week now. Was even worse before. Might be related to the increasing number of box tribes but the poor performance is there even after server restarts and with under 10 players at a time. Outage reports did, like always, NOTHING! What a joke!
  2. And for the gazillionth time, serverwide disconnects, rubberbanding, 255 ping and horrible lag make all my official servers unplayable, regardless of map. Many thanks for another event on top of old problems that only get exacerbated during these times. Everybody shouts it out loud, but somehow every Dev in every team is death: your entire server network needs an upgrade, they just can't handle events and more than 10 players at a time. @Cedric I would really like a community crunch with statistics on server outages, average ping, disconnects, offline times, especially during the event. I personally would like to see those statistics for EU servers. I know the numbers of my servers and it is sad. I have made so many outage reports during the last years but I am 100% sure that no one reads them. During the last event our Extinction493 server was without Battle Eye for the ENTIRE duration of the event, with reports being submitted daily, to no avail. In my humble opinion, the only real priority now is an entire overhaul of the server network. No other content, no fixes, no nothing, just a complete focus on servers that can actually keep the game running for us.
  3. Personally I prefer a delay regarding Genesis. Doesn't matter how long. IF (and i stress IF), they will release a DLC that is at least half or less broken than Extinction was. Any rush and childish complaining about it begs for disaster; and the whining will increase. I don't want any more server wipes because of bugs after the release, I don't want broken spawns of end-game creatures in your base, I don't want server crashes, exploits that enable looting on PvE, creatures dying during lag spikes or stuck in meshes. I am sick of these things that keep persisting and sometimes only get exacerbated with each patch and update. I finally want a polished, sufficiently tested out DLC that justifies every cent I spent on it. No rush; any delay is acceptable; people understand if you keep them informed. Just do a better job. What releases have been before can't be imposed as an acceptable standard, sorry to say this Ark Team. You need to do better.
  4. You can only expect less from PvP servers. PvE is your solution.
  5. Where the hell did you get that number from? Not even in the glory days of Ark did they have 9 million players. Game breaking bugs reduces it to this: https://steamcharts.com/app/346110 Ark is the 11th game with most players on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/stats/Steam-Game-and-Player-Statistics?l=t
  6. Since the update, animations on dinos that are a little further away are stuttering. It is really annoying and takes the immersive feel of the game big-time.
  7. Yes, the delay was on PC too. Not sure by how many hours. A small delay.
  8. x2 Breeding without x2 Maturation is pointless...
  9. Should I feel old for having to explain what a zerg is? https://starcraft.fandom.com/wiki/Zerg
  10. As the title says, we need SEPARATE buffs/nerfs/balance tweaks for PVE and PVP. 2 completely different game modes with completely different strategies, objectives and player types need different tweaks to the game. This has become especially evident in the cases of the extreme and repeated nerfs of the Managarmr, a new and versatile creature that quickly became as useful as throwing small feces at a wild Giga... All because of the outcry of a portion of PVP players, while completely ignoring, disregarding the PVE community. While PVP was focused on griefing fellow players with Manas, PVE players needed that versatility to focus on boss taming/killing. You can see the frustration on both sides. PVP is still and will be forever complaining about Manas, while PVE clings to being able to still play with that creature. This is only one example. For two game modes you need two game settings. It is only logical, as a famous saying goes. So please, for the sake of the PVE and PVP communities, revert those extreme tweaks and focus on implementing them completely different in PVE and PVP game modes. This might be the most urgent game balance. PS: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT make this a discussion over PVE/PVP supremacy. If you want to know, they both suck equally bad for different reasons!
  11. Mana nerfed again?! And by so much?! Why render it uselss?! It is barely a few months since you added the new creatures. And don't come with the PvP argument. It's a toxic game there anyways.
  12. When will you plan to do something about deleted characters due to server crashes and rollbacks? It can't be that hard to track a character and store some data for it to be backed up. I have seen so many people leave the game for good because they lost everything due to server crashes. And why your policy has become to not restore anything (or at least anything worth the over 1 month wait - in a game that has autodecay - for an answer from the utterly poor support team) is beyond me.
  13. If the same bugs that are present on Aberration persist on Extinction, it will be unplayable! Please do the same as other game developers and update your code! Maybe after the release of your DLC you can work on that, clean up the old clutter, make maintenance and future updates easier to develop and implement and PLEASE don't abandon Aberration and fix the bugs (map swallowing creatures and players, crashes, server lags, creatures constantly getting stuck in various places with no possibility of getting them out, spawn rates and conditions of alpha reapers etc.) And after that maube you can think of something for the taming cap plaguing the vast majority of Ragnarok and Island servers. Without all of these, Ark has no future; see the player statistics in the last months and notice the decline. The reasons are mentioned above.
