  1. FYI I'm still working on cryopod support guys. Couple more days and I think I should have it working and released to you.

  2. The problems: PVE and PVP are two different styles of gameplay and need to be catered to as such. Blanket "fixes" or "changes" are not always good for one style of gameplay. These changes coupled with the: YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 3 GENERATORS NEARBY are dumb. If you dont want folks on PVE to bring cryoed dinos into caves, great. but then revert the stupid generator crap or expand the range on generators to cover more area. The 5 min timer after setting up a cryofridge: why is this in PVE? What is the purpose?

  3. As title mentions. Currently, no shield can be used with pistols (fabricated or simple) (From a PVE player's perspective-PVP might be different) While ammo for the fabricated pistol is plentiful in airdrops which is wonderful, these types of weapons seem outclassed by heavy hitters such as the pump-action shotgun. I propose that you could wield these weapons with a shield, since the player character does not utilise both hands to hold it. In fact, they extend their left arm forward, which feels like it could hold a shield with the exact same pose. This would help a lot with cave raiding, where arthropleuras spit at you from range and where you destroy your weapons if you melee them. Shields in general have little purpose, at least in PVE. And it would look cool in general.

  4. So, I've played Ark: SE ever since late EA and I've had my fair share of bugs / glitches / lagg etc etc. and was quite okey with all of it.. back then.. If I remember correctly, when Ark: SA was announced it was said that the core code (or whatever it's called) would be reworked from the ground and up, yet we're still seeing alot of the early ARK: SE issues, in Ark: SA.. This is not really an issue, but an example: The saddle durability, this existed in EA of Ark: SE and was later on removed as it had no function. This can now be found in Ark: SA, and it still has no functionality, but it hasn't been removed either. Anyways, the saddle thing and alot of the other things may be considered small things (but ofc piles up in the end to a huge mess). Anyways, what I really wonder is, how in the freekin hell can the server lag be so much worse now, with cryopods released compared to when we did not have them? What does Nitrado ( and WC) do to actually reduce the lag on the servers? Because right now it seems like nothing is being done considering the lag is even worse during this event that it was during the Turkey Trials as well as New Life Event. Take 2 steps, rubberband for 2 minutes in the same spot, game lets you take another 2-3 steps and then rubberband for a few minutes again.. rinse and repeat, this is pretty much how this whole event has been so far for alot of the players I've talked to, this needs to be fixed somehow. If Nitrado can't get their servers right, you guys need to find some other server provider that knows what they are doing, or Nitrado will drag you guys to the bottom of the abyss (even tho they saved your as*es before).

  5. The most annoying thing about this game is first person camera goes straight to my crotch level.....thats just retarded. Then Dinosaurs can stick half their bodies inside a wall.....whats the point of walls at this point, if they can stick thier heads inside your house and kill you. <BROKEN HOT TRASH>

  6. If you want, you can also extend the same discussion to the torch, why can't I hold a torch in one hand and a sword, a spear or a gun in the other?

  8. Wildcard simply never listen to community We never asked for such bad update That new cryopod feature is a joke, you can't save a dino being murdered by cryopoding it, you can't unpod dino if too far away from a fridge. That's ridiculous, and that's putting even more pressure on servers cause your client asking server if you can pod/unpod Stop being sausages seriously and start listening !!

  9. They simply can't do anything about servers being sooooo trash They are locked with nitrado due to very bad decisions And we, the players, are suffering cause of that You can't get any dino on follow because they go out of render before starting to follow you Official servers are unplayable at this stage, and someone brilliant thought it would be a great idea to ask server constantly to know if you can pod or unpod dinos ? 😂 Seriously Wildcard, stop being sausages and start listening to community, you are our employee don't forget it We saved you from bankrupt when you released ASA beforeit was too late

  10. 5.0.0.5 now available for download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pndLxJHR4E4Eto0X_qlrFKvCAsM3HGHg/view?usp=drive_link https://github.com/miragedmuk/ASV/releases/tag/ASA Features General - Added "Created" date to Structures grid. @StevenB ASVExport - Changed to a Windows Application instead of Console Application so it runs silently. @LustWare Fixes General - Tweaked how I read in last ally in range so only reads in when data has a value. ASA - Further tweaks to map image alignment. @sTv, @Nazfera2 & @Shinigati - It now supports Ark Ascended on or off of Nitrado @Slumnit - Github Releases updated to include latest builds available on my Google drive. ..edit.. I'll get another update out after work in an hour or so. Realised I broke the tribe tab (missing chart control)

  11. Why did last night's patch in the middle of the 24 hour only event no less, make rendering distance outrageously small? Now you get: Swaths of areas showing NO dinos until you are pratically literally on top of them Flying into things like gigas that literally appear out of nowhere because of the new idiotic rendering Cant see your own dinos across your base Cant go fast on a dino and have one follow because, wow, yep: they render out This has to be one of the most thoughtless things added to the game. And you thought flying babies, vanishing dinos, or dinos going through the floor was bad? This takes the cake..

  13. Wild "If you are ever swimming through the vast oceans, you'll want to keep an eye out for Tethysaurus. These galvanised proto-mosasaurs have electric capabilities similar to Electrophorus, being capable of shocking prey to corral them, almost like a sheepdog nipping at the heels of the flock. However, a singular Tethysaurus can only corral small fish. It is when they group together that they become a real threat. I once saw a pod of 20 or so Tethys manage to corral a Leedsichthys away from their breeding grounds! other survivors have also claimed that Tethys are capable of speeding just above the water's surface, but I myself am unsure if they speak the truth." Tamed "Adult Tethysaurus are nigh impossible to domesticate, with many who have attempted it having met a shocking end. The only survivors I have met who had tamed Tethys had made a daring journey to the bottom of the sea to steal Tethy eggs from their two breeding grounds; located within strange air pockets that shouldn't exist. However, those that succeded gained a powerful ally, with tamed Tethys being able to scare off even the most dangerous oceanic predators with their electricity. Some tribes even use them when raiding others, for despite their slow land speed they can emit a constant electric field to jam electronic devices." Taming To tame a Tethysaurus, you must steal an egg from one of the underwater domes deep in the oceans of The Center. Once you have done this, you must hatch said egg and raise the baby to adulthood, and voila, your own Tethysaurus. Abilities Left click: Bite (Low damage, quick, applies a very weak bleed) Right click: Electric burst (Can be used even when being stunned by electrophorus & jellies, deals moderate damage and pushes enemies back) G: Ability Wheel (Choose which abilities are assigned to C & X) Ability Wheel: 1: Directional Shock (Causes target to move in the opposite direction to the one you shocked them from for 3-6s) 2: Electric Field (Disrupts electronics within a certain radius which only the rider can see. Use carefully, as it also disrupts allied electronics) 3: Electric Bolt (Charge-up attack, deals anywhere from low to high damage, stuns enemies within drag weight limit) Space: Jump (Leap out of the surface of the water) Hold Space: Ionic Flight (Hover just above the surface of the water/the ground constantly moving; other abilities cannot be used) Release Space (Only in Ionic Flight): Ionic Burst (Launch yourself high into the air, disables Ionic Flight) Passive 1: Pack Boost (Tethysaurus gains a bonus to damage resistance and output when in the presence of 1-9 other tethys, with said bonus scaling with the amount in the pack) Passive 2: Drag Limit (Tethysaurus can only affect up to drag weight 20 creatures on its own, but that limit scales with the amount of Tethys nearby even if they aren't in a pack with one another, with the upper limit being 2,000) Saddle The Tethysaurus saddle is insulated with organic polymer to allow survivors to stay warm even in the coldest waters, while also protecting them from the shocks of cnidaria and electrophorus

  14. Wild I was extraordinarily lucky to see a Sharovipteryx in the wild. These strange, elusive critters have long, powerful legs that support a gliding surface, which they use exclusively to run from anything and everything that may pose a threat. Interestingly, the Sharovipteryx I observed seemed to bend the light around it, causing a blurring effect when pressed by predators, confusing the hungry carnivores. They can also put on one hell of a light show, causing would-be attackers to become temporarily dazed and disoriented as the Illusionist makes a hasty getaway. Tamed According to the owner of the only tamed Sharovipteryx I have seen, to befriend one requires patience. One must offer the Sharovipteryx some sort of gift, most often reflective material. Once one gains its trust, they may feed it whatever food they have on hand, although Sharovipteryx does prefer Element. When a Shaorvipteryx is befriended, you may find that it is an incredibly versatile travel mount, capable of ricocheting off of solid surfaces to gain speed alongside being quite light-footed. Thanks to this speed and light-manipulating abilities, Sharovipteryx can dodge almost any incoming attack at sufficient speeds, allowing it and its rider to avoid any and all harm. Although, it seems like Sharovipteryxs' mastery of Illusion does not help it against enemies that can see past its conventional vision-based defences. Creatures such as Snow Owls and Enforcers alongside Tek helmets can see through its disguise, allowing them or their user to hit Sharovipteryx directly. Taming The player must offer gifts to their desired Sharovipteryx in the form of reflective material like Oil, Obsidian, Crystal and Metal. Once Sharovipteryx trusts the player enough, it becomes a regular passive tame. Sharovipteryx will eat anything but prefers kibble or Element (dust, shards and pure). Abilities Left Click - Kick (low damage) Right click and C abilities (Selection wheel): Defensive: Blur - Applies a damage reduction that stacks with speed Hide - Directional invisibility Offensive: Targeting - Outlines enemy players and tames in light, causing damage against them to be increased Disorient - Flashbang Utility: Morale Boost - Increases health and stamina recovery of allied players/tames Ball of light - Create a temporary ball of light that can light up an area and/or help crops grow faster
