Level 27 Alpha Raptor

Me and my bro are about level 40, with chitin armor and he has a rifle with 31 bullets. I have a bow and arrow. WE have 2 carnos, a sabercat, 4 raptors, 2 parasaurs, and 4 dilos. There is a level 27 Alpha raptor that lives sorta nearish our house and has been moving closer over the past few days. What kinda dinos and/or gear do we need to kill it, or do we just move away and pray?

two mate boosted level 20 carnos but doing the math, the raptor has ~20k health

raptor prob realistically has like 7-8 k health, however I would not recommend it with your two carnos. You will very likely lose.

Oh really? I read on the wiki that it levels up 720 hwalth per level. thanks though, thats a relief

I'd build a wall and focus on getting a good Argent or better Carno. Alternatively if you bait it to a cliff, you can just get a couple Crossbows each and pelt it with arrows from above. Your tames aren't really strong enough to take it on right now

Flak armor a good bit of health a metal shield a sword. and a couple of sets of those and you're good to go justp ut your back to a wall and crouch stabbing and blocking and you can solo the raptor yourself

tbh you can fight a alpha raptor no prob.. 25 isnt that big of deal 80+ they get hella tougher.. so ou might be able too kill it with the predator dinos you got if both of you chimps in with spear or something.. just let the dinos tank hope fully u got 2k health on dinos

If u time the carnos buck attack u can take it on without taking any damage

Build a trap using stone fence foundations + stone door frames. Leave one side of trap open so that raptor can enter, and once kited in, place the remaining door frame. Now just sit back with bow/xbow and shoot until dead.

if you are near a decent water area make a raft and lure it into the water and shoot with crossbows until dead

Hello Friends,

I'm going to let you know about a current glitch with Alpha's, which should be able to help you. The Alpha's currently cannot harvest bodies so here is what you do.

1. Have one of your tribe mate's empty his inventory and put down a sleeping bag.
2. Have tribe mate that put down the sleeping bag get killed by the Alpha.
3. Alpha will continually attempt to harvest the body, but will fail to.
4. While it's attempting to harvest shoot the Alpha with Crossbows/Bows.
5. Once you kill it, loot it's body and you will score some decent loot. Personally I would advice going around the map and killing all the Alpha's you see to get loot and to power level.
6. If there is another wild carnivore around then it can harvest your tribe mate's body so make sure the alpha is alone.

I hope this helps you! No telling how long this will last for so take advantage of it while you can. I would advice hitting an explorer node and then killing it for x2 EXP!
