JetJaguar
So I have placed a few beehives and built a new bee sanctuary I want to move them to. If I am reading the wikki right and understand correctly, in order to move them, I need to destroy the hive to get the queen back and then can replace her/a new hive at the new location?? Tozame
Exactly right, when destroyed the hive should turn into a Queen again
DoomedScorpion
Yeah that's all you have to do
Pouffysquash463
Will the queen have to be tamed again or can you just pick it up or have it follow you to the new location?
Kraken
Nope, it'll still be tamed, just turn it back into a hive and take it wherever.
Demerus
also worth noting if you plan to move the bees to a diff server, it will need to be in queen form and have to wait 12 hours to upload
MandaBear
Just now, Demerus said: also worth noting if you plan to move the bees to a diff server, it will need to be in queen form and have to wait 12 hours to upload holy crap, thank you for telling that. We have like 5 bee hives and couldn't figure out how to move them at all. I thought you just couldn't. That will make our other tribes lives so much easier. Also another thing to add to the topic: If you ever have problems getting food for the bee, just put it in a hive form and don't place it. It will technically be an item and last however long you need it to before you get more flowers

Ours either stay as hives with flowers in them, or in boxes so I never knew that before now
Faethon63
Hi. My beehive appears as one in my inventory, but when I place it on the ground it turns into a box with a countdown to destruction. Have I killed it?
FeyGriffin
Sounds like you're dropping it rather than placing it!
Faethon63
Right! I was worried to right trigger it lol Thanks
AzDaemon
FYI this is all true unless you're on Ab. If you place a hive down on Ab then you can't pick it back up. It will destroy the hive and you'll have to tame a new one
