  1. Hi, I am playing ASA singleplayer now and I feel the lack of excitement walking with my dinosaurs across the Island. Is there a way to increase their spawns locations across the map? Not to have them only spawn at their original, way too easy to avoid, locations?
  2. If you store them full with Kentros, I think they have the potential power to destroy all the evil in the world.
  3. Yeah. To make SP a bit more exciting, I always disable the "Use SinglePlayer Settings" Not sure how its really called but its in the options and gives a SP handicap boost. With SP-Settings every stat gets insane boosts. I think Stats like HP are like doubled. So that makes all wildlife just a bunch of meatbags and they can hardly do more than nibble on your pets toes... Either way, wildlife threats will be gone a few good hours into the game. Once you got your 100% imprint lvl 225+ Rex, most enemies are not a real threat anymore. Then progression is going for Bosses and then wait for the next DLC. Will take some time for sure to get your Boss armies ready for Dragon, Alpha Bosses, Overseer...
  4. I know it partly is. Doesnt make my official-servers experience less frustrating. But its not only my pc. The official servers are laggy as Pego, and for whatever reasons I cant even properly connect. I get timeouts or something I dunno. I dont want to troubleshoot it because its probably an endless battle. The connecting issues, event gifts not working, AI stupidity, general lag, Inventory crashes, the list goes on... I have decent internet and a decent PC, even though its weak compared to modern Pcs... Yet I have significantly less problems running SP, the difference SP - Official is insane. SP is enjoyable for me for now...
  5. I quited official. Even though I played official for about 99% of the time on ASE. It isnt playable. I can hardly connect. I play SP for now, but I think I will be tired of it some time soon (Probably when my files get corrupted at some point with no decent possible recovery without a huge rollback to a previous save...)
  6. Yes, thats why I had my egg farm on the far end of my base. To make them go in and out of stasis if i would be doing stuff in my base. Good to know its actually a fact and its on wiki or something. I always had a really strong feeling this was the case. If you want to really boost things up, it might be an idea to have a paracer with a small hut on it, place a bed in the hut. Then have it set to wander in a pen somewhere at a distance it will get your egg farm in and out of render. So that the egg layers are constantly getting the first check for an egg drop. Only thing with this is that it might get stuck or derp out and stay out of render distance. And mind that ASA has a view distance and a distance for stasis. Not sure if they are the same on your server. (You could check this by having a hostile dino follow you. If it is following you and after getting distance, its not visible anymore. You stop. If it wont come back in visual range it means it was put into stasis.) If that set up works in your advantage, it will be eggstravaganza. I hope so...
  7. Force feeding and stim feeding only works for Phiomia in my dictionary... So I dont think you can manualy get them to poop faster. Only wild/enemy dinos you can Roar at with a Rex. If they are small and lower level than the Rex the roar will have effect. They will poop because scared. But its not about poop. Somehow I also constantly mix this pooping up with my reasoning. But it doesnt mean anything in this discussion, the OP questions are about eggs... Anyway its also a method thats will need a lot of prepping etc. Pooping is not the same as dropping eggs. Not sure about it in depth but yes, mainly true. Maybe there is some kind of catch-up system for the server though, like with food in babies in stasis. I mean, Does the server really wait for the breeding to initiate after its cooldown is dropped to 0? How long? Hours? Days? I have logged in a lot of times looking at animals and their CD was reset, but no pregnancy or whatever. Could have been other people there though to render them in ofcourse. Or do "time-outs" nullify that the action took place somehow? Either way, you only have to control and change the males options to manage the breeding sessions. Also you can also breed with ORPed dinos on PvE, if they have mating enabled...
  8. The only thing that might give a boost to creatures' laying of egg/poop speed is, what I sayd before, getting them in and out of render distance, or maybe it will help if you cryo them and release them. Every time they are uncryoed they will drop feces. I am very much unsure this will also have a chance to drop an egg. But it could be... Both of these methods are very time consuming and probably dont appeal to you. Maybe try to find a way to lower the cooldown on breeding intervals so significantly, you can just leave them on mating and they will drop eggs continiously. Not sure if possible... Fertilized eggs can serve as normal eggs in almost all circumstances... Edit: Not sure why I forget the obvious. Oviraptor can boost egg droppings. Maybe also mate-boosted 0.o
  9. Pfew. I have no guarantees, but: Speed multiplier: The time between dropping the egg on the ground and the popping of a baby. Higher numbers means faster popping. Lay egg interval: THere will be a cooldown after 2 animals have bred, before they can breed again. Higher numbers means they can breed more often.
  10. The answer is there. You just got to read it a little different... Besides that. These questions are probably asked dozens of times and the internet must be able to provide plenty of answers or feedback on this topic that would give insight. Why answer to a question every time that has been asked and answered noumerous times... But yes, its an indication on how much ASA (official) sucks... -> Mod should merge this to another topic... THough the Op doesnt give a lot of background info neither. Thats a question thats doomed to get a proper answer...
  11. I do not know if this works on ASA also. I didnt have the chance to create a big egg farm yet. But at my ASA official PvE base, I had my egg farm right on the edge of render distance from the center of my base. So every time I would walk around for various reasons in my base, they would get in and out of render distance. I believe this somehow boosted the speed of the eggdroppings. Keep in mind that it is probably also so that eggfarms will probably only pile up 6 eggs. After that, they will not lay eggs anymore unless you pick those 6 eggs up. + If you have PvE mode on your server, and there are multiple tribes on your server. The tribe that is offline will get OfflineRaidProtection. Creatures in ORP will poop and drop eggs at a significantly slower rate.... So if they would check out your base, there is only a small chance your dinos will poop or drop eggs.
  12. Gigas are now tamed by feeding them lag or even better, rollbacks. I think your server runs too smooth.. Then it would just STARVE, TAMED or not...
  13. Elden Ring hasnt got its Dlc released yet though. But yeah That game and other souls games have a way more clear "end-game" Just finishing the game, or maybe defeating Melania. So at some point its just done... But they all have terrible PvP. Ark has PvP, so you can play the games main story somewhat parallel and coextensive at the same time with the PvP. Finding the right gamemode that fits you is important for Solo Players. But thrust me, if you like this game you will probably be playing it for quite some time and before you know it you dont even know what you where "nagging" about on this topic... Edit: Sorry for my somewhat "downplaying" on you...
  14. Devs dont have ankies yet, so they only have stone and wooden PCs. Why dont you set up a few bases at metal rich areas. Farming metal isnt going to take all your time... Its just this thing you got to do. So: Just do it.
  15. Yeah well... Its supposed to all be a little back to basics. At least you can cryo your dinos back into the pods when you are done. Same with taming, so you dont have to walk home every big dino... For now, if you play official, you just have to actually do stuff to get stuff... When ScE launches, there will be Wyverns again for fast and powerfull travel (Rhynio though) Free OIL and salt... Bit by bit, the game is going to get you those little life hacks... If they add more (there have been added some good features already) new cheese methods too fast, and then the new maps' upgrades are going to get there when they be there, the game will be like Gen2-2.0 Its just all taking WAAAAY to long before the maps are comming out. ScE is already "postponed" to March. Even though a 2 month interval would be really unrealistic, like it is now, it might as well be 2030 when Gen2 is going to be released 0.o I dont think ASA will survive that... For me I dont really play other games anymore, but maybe ElderScrolls will hit 2028. Then its over for ASA PERIOD
  16. I am unsure what exactly is going on. You should be able to unlock it at the engram menu (in-game) if the image is not blacked. That means you have the required level to unlock it if you have enough engram points. After you unlock it, read at what station you can craft it. If it does not indicate that, it can be crafted by hand. Fabricators are crafted at a smithy. Thats where you will find the Blueprint to craft one. Generators are crafted at a Fabricator...
  17. Maybe it was looking for Griffins to tame I dunno 0.o
  18. cheat RenamePlayer "OldName" NewName I do not know if this works for ASA on Playstation5. It does work for ASA PC -> SinglePlayer
  19. - Smaller creatures can get their agro faster. Doesnt mean you can still get agro also. But a flock of dimos or following raptors can take make them focus on other tames so you dont get the stun attack. - Dinos with big AOE can make short work of these low HP creatures. Gigas are top for this, also Mammoths, Spinos and Megaloceros Male Megaloceros also has its antlers which could potentially block their attacks. - Know their spawns. Either block their spawns, by building, walk a route around them, or send/keep a dino to the spots before you go there to agressivily get rid of them before you have to deal with them yourself. - Swing through the trees like Tarzan, while whistling your pets to follow you around and go where you want them to - Use a flyer and let ground animals follow you. Best solution in my opinion, to most mainland threats anyway: Giga. Edit: I dont think while riding a Rex you agro microraptors? Just ignore them completely if possible...
  20. A thing to know about wild creatures in general is that "all land" based creatures arent able to perform attacks while submerged. So excluding animals like Sarco, Baryonix etc, if hostile animals are submerged (swimming) they will not attack. So this means that if a microraptor has to get into water to get to you, it will probably be suberged and unable to initiate its stun attack... Edit: I never really bother them, they are too weak to cause any real problems other than not being able to focus on bigger threats. But I tend to get them to miss their stun attack if you dismount at the exact right time, its like 50-50 and if there are multiple Microraptors its hard to dodge them all. I always dodge Hyenadons by going prone. They would just jump over you... Maybe going prone will make them miss also, never tried, but maybe worth a try. Though its also not the best idea while fighting an Alpha Rex, to dismount, go prone to dodge the flock of Microraptors attacks...
  21. When Rex gets you eat. All your armor are belong to Rex.
  22. A free Lagfest, and a bunch of LowLevelFatalErrors.
  23. I think it was true at some point in long forgotten times. The mechanic was making caves way too easy ofcourse and they patched it. Its like saying "I was told that you can get insane stats on the Basilisk with the Tek Phase Pistol, but I cant get it to work, what am I doing wrong?"
