I have no xp multiplier applied also. They do give out good XP, if the being you killed it with was fresh (like just grown or tamed) its possible. I have no xp multiplier applied also. It all depends on what level the Alpha was, what level you (or your dino) were when you killed it. ARK works like any RPG, you get XP for killing things and the XP is based on their species + level, if you get enough XP from the kill to gain 22 levels then yes, you do. You can look at the wiki and see how much XP the megalodon gives, and you can see how much XP you needed to gain those 22 levels, I'm sure if you look at it you'll see that the numbers match up. Killing a mosa or squiddy is very ridiculous as well if they are over level 20, but doing so will take a rock solid tame.....a max level basil can do it, but Id suggest trying to get their health pool above 50k first. RedOne Posted March 29, 2021 Share Posted March 29, 2021 Baryonx can stun them (yes, even alphas!) The Megalodon's just patiently sit there, waiting to die. You have to keep stunning them ever 10 seconds, then go back to chomping.
