Jemcrystal Posted August 28, 2019 Share Posted August 28, 2019 What does Wipe and No Wipe mean? More specific what is a wipe exactly? What does it do? What does 2/7 mean? Does this refer to clusters or something else? I know XP means experience gained but if they just say x5 do they default mean experience gain? Because there is also T for taming, B for breeding, H for harvest and G for gathering. What are some other abbreviations and their meanings? --- And another question. Do sites like Battlemetrics only have the ability to list four modifications? So unofficial server owners could have five or more mods not listed above four? A wipe is when a server is completely erased - all buildings, dinos and characters are deleted and everyone has to start again from nothing. Some servers wipe regularly. Some never wipe. Some ask their players to vote for a wipe or no wipe. The slash numbers are dates. 23/7 = 23rd July. If you're unsure of any abbreviations in particular, then ask about them explicitly. Cuts down on time if you know what it is your looking at. I found one more thing. For whatever reason Battlemetrics put the United Kingdom after Gabon (not in alphabetical order next to other U's) in it's search parameters. So people advertising Britain servers have [UK] at the very beginning. It is significant in a search when you are looking for ENGLISH SPEAKING PLAYERS to play with. Trying to guess at all countries that speak total English when you USA no social studies classes (or social studies taught wrong). Battlemetrics did include Sweden even tho Sweden has only one server. English Speaking Servers: United States, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Canada, and ... (have not tested) Ireland. Not sure if Finland and Iceland speak mainly English? I can attest the unofficial Swedish server has an enforced rule to speak only English in chat. Well, people can use an abbreviation for entirely other meanings than what you'd expect it to be.
