Base defense on Aberration?

So what do we do to ensure our base can still be there in the morning? Surely there can't be plant X. Do i really just have to rush turrets by day 1 or 2 to have a chance, or are there alternatives i don't know about? Am i asking for spoilers? I don't mind, just tag them for others

Cliff platforms I believe are decently safe till people get rockets

Defense seems pretty hard, since there are so many layers and many places to take cover. especialy around the areas around the Element manufacturers

try making a cliff base and just using retractable rope ladders 

or maybe just try hiding ur base somewhere where no one will look?

Yeah hiding is the best at the beggining. There are good and small spots to hide all over the map and some of those spots are safe from dinos .

Use your enviroment you can climb on nearly every wall or rock and find hidden spots for a small beginner base. Later you can use ravagers and ziplines to reach even better places.

Tethered Raptors with a few other higher damage dinos keep the low-tier raiders out (The ones who will wail on your door with a metal pick for an hour).

Auto Turrets with dino defenses (Dimorphs, Purlovias, ect) can keep off Stego soakers. Tek Turrets can also be used - The much higher availability of Element means that it's significantly easier to keep the Tek Turrets going.

The main threat later on comes from 2 things - Tek saddled Rock Drakes (Not too common fortunately), and snipers on the back of a rock drake (This can be countered by making a barn for your dinos)

You can find plant x in the green zone along the rivers. 

 

In the start climb high it makes it easier to hide and harder for them to use Dino’s. Plus most resources are found higher up.
